Wah. Kya maza, kya chalak,

Twists and turns which while obvious are also pretty ingenious and all done in such a realistic manner.

Story has progressed and I always felt that they will make Channi, a scapegoat/bait. Now that Jassi is actually forcing Viren to marry Channi to hide their relationship. Especially Jassi who would want to hide her relationship with Virender. Virender is at least behaving as a human who couldn't switch from one girl, Nimmi to another, Channi, to hide his relationship with his sister in law Jassi in a spur of moment. Unlike Jassi.

BTW, Nimmi's father only blames Virender of being characterless, but what about Jassi then? she should be also blamed equally for this, and should know if Virender is termed as characterless then, Jassi is characterless as well. Why should only he get all blame for their odd relationship?

It's always two of them who were involved; yes, it was their necessity, lust or love. We do not know exactly what they were thinking when they started their odd relationship.

I'm not saying that as a girl, Jassi has no right or as a boy, Virender has no rights to form physical or sexual or emotional relationships with others but, in one episode, it was told that Jassi confessed to herself that Virender is her necessity as she was alone. So may be it's their lust.

If they truly loved each other they would have gone legal way. Jassi could have divorced her husband, Narender & married her current brother in law, Virender. Why form a relationship which is unacceptable to themselves & to their families & society? May be they need guts to accept this in front of others.

The concept is bold & applaudable. I hope they handle it well in show. They are showing that both sexes; male & female have their necessities of love, lust or what not.

But in all this, I honestly feel bad for Channi who will become a bait/scapegoat & her sister Jassi is using her to hide her illegal extra marital affair. In any scenario, both Jassi & Virender will be WRONG! In fact, they are WRONG!

Because now the relationships are changed & they should know boundaries & limits of their relationships. Jassi need to know her limit as well as Virender. They cannot continue their relationship like this, illegally, cheating their respective life partners; Naren & Channi respectively.

If they seriously love each other, than they should speak about it.

If they are just using each other than they should stop doing that. Its wrong. Forming relationship is not wrong but in this condition, they are wrong for sure. Nothing can justify this. If Jassi was feeling all alone than why she NEVER confessed about her loneliness to her husband, Naren? why she never bothered to tell him that she NEEDED him!

and why Viren NEVER said its wrong & they are cheating HIS BROTHER Naren, by this. If Viren too NEEDED Jassi for completing his sexual or emotional desires, than why he NEVER confessed that he want to move on in life, & want to get settled? Or both of them were just having fun by this? It was looking like that only, that BOTH Jassi & Viren are having Fun in this illegal relationship.

Anyway, I do enjoy the chemistry between Jassi(Sonali) & Viren(Rohit) but I want to say that both characters are SHAMELESS!

Sorry, 😆 but I had to say that. They cheated their family for this relationship, so of course, they should know what their characters are.

Anyway, looking for ward to discuss this show. Hope, I have not offended anyone. :)

.dev loved ur thoughts...👏...but i guess both virender and jassi...are behaving the way...any one would do in their situation, especially jassi, she wants shield of virender marriage...becoz...ultimately it will be her who will be at a greater loss. she wants to be in safer side...
jassi legaly separating and marrying virender is also not possible, becoz the relation bonded on physical and not love...moreover i feel...jassi...is under pressure of maintaing the role model...she is viewed by others...adarsh bahu, biwi, behan etc...and i do have a feeling that once truth comes out family wont accept her back as virenders wife legally (unless her husband-mo-in law force her) ...
...and yes...as u said bringing channi in between is very bad on jassi part...but ...it might also end their marital affair...
About Jassi and viren...being Shameless ...yes they are but became so due to circumstances...

Last point...what would have been ur thought...to the whole case of JAssi and viren relation...if they have shown ...narendra too having some physical/sexual relationship in sharjah...considering that naren left for sharjaah soon after marriage and is away for 1-1/2 yrs...

...So for me AA...is one show which atleast showing us the real picture of complications of individual needs/ desires...and societal obligations...

kuch bakwaas hogaya toh dont mind...just forced to see some positveness out of jassi-viren story!

Jassi doesn't want to separate from Naren. It was never her thought. This started as something that was meant to be just a physical relationship, which has emotional ties because they already were emotionally caring for each other as bhabhi-devar. What happens of course is that with a physical relationship it will have romantic emotional attachment too, though Jassi has always been more able to deny but while Varinder was always acutely aware of this, even though he too was able to treat it mostly as just an affair which never went beyond the confines of their private interactions.
Now, what had started as something to tide over the long wait has become a need for Jassi. But even then this is not about them looking at each other as their great love or what not.

Channi is the poor girl in this. Varinder may have some conscience regarding Channi more than Jassi perhaps.

PS. Nimmi's father is not blaming Jassi because no one knows who the girl is. Jassi was covered with a dupatta and the cashier hardly looked at her. He dealt with Viren while the nurse took Jassi in. So all the cashier and Nimmi's father knows is Viren room some girl to get an abortion.

If talk continues, and dates, place and specifics are spread around, people like Savita bhabhi can put two and two together. As many know Jassi and Viren went out of town for 'shopping' after Jassi fainted, and she came back looking worn and weak as well.

According to jassi, she started this relationship to avoid her loneliness. But now when her husband is back for permanent stay, what reason does she have to still continue the affair?

Everyone has kept Jassi on a very high pedestal, especially her mother-in- law. Even her poor husband looks very besotted with her. I can't even bring myself to imagine what their state would be once her mask starts to fall off!

I have one question. Is Jassi an orphan? Why her parents are not introduced to the viewers still now? Even in this marriage track they are not shown!

Though the bold topic has been dealt very well as always by Ajai Sinha I fail to understand how Jassi thinks she can stay in a relationship with both husband and devar and now she wants him to get married too..why spoil the life of another girl...feel sad for Jassi though as she is on the path of disaster. .I fail to understand if the devar bhabhi do really love each other or just wanna make love..the later would be pathetic. .but am glued to the show and also feel the pain Jassi and Viren are going through

They kind something like that of Jassi -- not having an immediate family, maybe.
It was when the aunt slyly taunted Jassi's status by telling Beeji would get such well-to-do in-laws with Nimmi.

The way Jassi had an expression, and how the others reacted in the background, it hinted at something..

Jassi started as grey character. But by involving innocent Channi she becomes dark. Don't know if they will show anything bad about Narinder. Why did he not take Jassi to sharjah for 5 years? Did he have any affair? Let's c what they show.
Many people are angry because of the bold concept. But it is reality. It happens more often than people think. It used to happen 100 years before too. In olden days, child marriages were common. MOst often the bride used to be child whereas the groom was much older. In many cases, the bhabhi used to be same age as devar. It was more like two little kids becoming friends. Later when they grew up, sometimes that friendship used to become romantic. Rabindra Nath Tagore had affair with one of his bhabhi named Kadambari. They were nearly same age. The elder brother..the husband was much much older than the bhabi. Also he was debauch. When Tagore got married, Kadambari committed suicide. Since it was a taboo in those days, the Tagore family bribed the doctor to write it as "natural death". THe secret remained. It is only recently that the secret came out. A bengali film was made too starring Konkona as the bhabhi. Tagore was devastated. He wrote many poems and songs in her memory. And yes, just like Jassi, even Kadambari had said she would not mind if Tagore got married. But the truth was she felt bad.

When our floors get dirty, we can clean the dirt or hide it under the carpet. But will hiding clean the dirt? We only fool ourselves by doing so. This is reality. The show is just depicting the harsh and bitter realities of our society and the complex human relationships. It is not everybody's cup of tea. Everybody wants their reflection in mirror to be beautiful. No one likes the ugly truth.

Ditto. This is reality, and it shows complex human nature, relationships and society. Jassi is not perfect, hell even outright selfish. But it is fascinating to watch. You feel bad for the other characters, the situations, as well as emphasize with the protagonist because she is not painted as without flaws. It is what it is. It's nice to such lead characters especially female lead characters. Everything else, Desi shows need the leads, especially female lead, to be all 'good and seedhi-sadhi.' Sometimes, you gotta admire Jassi's nerves of steel, man. Her turning it back onto Nimmi's father about his plans for Jamai ka Ghar, maintaining a dignified and self-righteous stance throughout, etc.

About Naren not taking her to Sharjah, well practically it made sense. There are many such married couples where one works abroad or away for some years. It is not always men either, in South India it is common-place in the case of both men and women . However, here, she wanted to go with him, and he made the decision that she wouldn't It wasn't a mutual decision. In reality too, it may often be a decision not taken mutually. But in terms of *why* he didn't take Jassi along, the mindset behind it makes practical sense. It may not always be easy to get spousal visa, easier lodging, less money to spend--and also, he wanted her home to take care of the house, Beeji and Varinder.

If he himself has gone to establishments, affair, etc, that is possible. Though it could also be possible he didn't. I don't think the fact that he didn't take Jassi along with him means specifically for a reason such as an affair. It's just something practical financially which many couples do. Anyway, they may show that he did have an affair, or maybe they will never address it and confirm or deny anything. Or they may show he didn't, which would be a very gutsy narrative choice actually.

About Tagore, agreed, but it wasn't recently that the secret came out. I think it was always speculated and speculated. Tagore wrote enough about her and his Charulata was always speculated to be loosely inspired from his own life, also afterwards when Satyajit Ray made it into a film.
