His parent's dialogues in this scene are some of the best written in the whole drama. They hit you at all the right spots. Yeah I believe so too that had they allowed him to go themselves, he would not have to resort to doing it the way he did, and they wouldn't have to go through so much pain later on. And that probably would have saved him from his eventual fate of becoming what he did in Karachi. Betting and chars on one side, but he never got involved in the really serious bad stuff in Hyderabad because of his family. Once he got cut off from them, it was all downhill from there. He probably just felt he wasn't answerable to anyone anymore. He could have really used his father's tears and his mother's slap there. ๐Ÿ˜”

Hahaha Arfa is supposed to be younger but she keeps an eye on him like older sisters do ๐Ÿ˜†

Oh yes. Afzal did have this habit in indulging in wrong stuff right from the start. No wonder he chose Farah ๐Ÿ˜† Even while living with his parents, he started doing drugs and placing bets which are enormous sins considering he is the Moulvi's son. He is one of those boys who are just naturally inclined towards bad stuff since childhood but it is his parent's upbringing that he is doesn't cross the boundaries. But in Karachi he is given a free hand. Even though he still remembers his parent's teaching, they aren't there to stop him from becoming a gunda. So he becomes a gunga with a conscience ๐Ÿ˜†

Hahaha yeah, and Timmy is funny. ๐Ÿ˜† But whatever doubts I had on not only these two friends but also his juway wala dost were put to rest later on when I saw them doing all they did for him.

I noticed that too... that glare he gave Timmy. And the way he flicked his cigarette away. Ghunda in the making ๐Ÿ˜† And that 'robe' uff. I remember the scene where he does his first kill, remember? And he asks Wali to call his boss. And when he doesn't, Afzal steps closer to him and repeats in a low, threatening voice, "Phone laga." Oh, my! Total transformation! ๐Ÿ‘ That's why I said in an earlier post that while he was cute in the first half, he was just plain hot in the second ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜†

I like how they focussed at this stage over Shaikh Ibrahim's concern for Afzal. It is important becasue later, Shaikh sahab is going to go through some great lengths in Afzal's pursuit, and if they hadn't shown his concern at this stage, people would later have been like, "Why does he care so much about him?"

True. I liked Sajid because I felt he was a genuine guy but Timmy and Bablo prove their friendship too ๐Ÿ˜ณ

SPOILER ALERT for anyone reading this! I Coming back to you, very true. He is such a hot gunda โ˜บ๏ธ I was telling my cousin just the other day that after watching Pyare Afzal, I don't find gundas that bad ๐Ÿคฃ And yaar I remember when he killed Wali, my heart sank! At that moment I felt Afzal's character was ruined for me because I thought how would I love him now? But man how wrong was I! The moment he got sad, my love for him came back instantly. Afzal is the only Pakistani character who indulges in so much wrong stuff but the love for him only increases ๐Ÿ‘

By the way, I can swear that as soon as he kills Wali, he becomes SOOO much more hotter And as he gets money, his dressing gets better too and then OH MY GOD!! He could kill people simply with his looks โ˜บ๏ธ

So Farah claims she is NOT the girl who wrote him those letters, and everyone believes her. This belief only gets stronger when Afzal shows up at his house while Farah and Lubna are still there, and Afzal confirms to his mother that she is not that girl. And then gets yet another slap ๐Ÿ˜† ... this time in front of everyone there. Last one if I remember correctly..

Afzal: Yeh woh nahi hai Ammi jo mujhe khat likhti thi.
Ruqaiyya: To phir uske ghar kyun nahi le kar gaye humein?!
Afzal: Le jaunga eik din. Usee din ke intizaar mein jee raha hun.

From the looks Afzal gives to Farah in this scene, I think this slap in front of her was what finally made his intended move to Karachi an ego issue. He will make it his zidd to not return to Hyderabad. Pretty much all his actions from here on will be driven by this ego and zidd.

This episode again had some really good dialogues by Moulvi sahab ๐Ÿ‘

To Ruqaiyya:

Dekho Ruqaiyya begum, maa baap ke chain aur jaan ki chori koi chori nahi hoti. Yeh to bachon ki amanat hoti hai. Jab chaheingay le leingay.

To Afzal:

Dekho miyan, chain chahay hamara sara le lo. Lekin abhi iski jaan na lena. Baray kaam ki hai tumhari maa meray liye.

To Farah:

Kya hai beta ke, waisay to imaan buhat mazboot hai mera. Aur yeh bhi jaanta hun ke aulaad Allah ki amanat hai. Lekin beta jeetay jee yeh amanatein khuda ko lautanay ki himmat nahi hai. Iklota beta hai is liye darta hun ke kaheen jazbati ho kar ghalat kadam na utha le, ya mujhe chhor kar na chala jaye. Is liye uske saamnay bhi zyada tar is tarah baat karta hun jaisay mein apnay Abba ke samnay kiya karta tha.

And of course, the most heart breaking scene was the below, when Moulvi sahab asks Farah for forgiveness on his son's behalf ๐Ÿ˜ญ

He does that because he wants no more trouble for Afzal from her side, since he doesn't want Afzal to leave them. But it's too late. Afzal has already made up his mind. He is shown packing his clothes... He takes a few of the letters with him. But he leaves behind the black suit that Farah bought him. He knows he wont be needing it anymore.

Man I wanted to whistle yesterday when Arifa barged into their house. And even the phonecall. Wooot.

I liked the phone call so much better. Cheer doongi! Zameen mein gaar doongi! ๐Ÿ˜†

Anyways yesterday Arifa rocked by giving it back to Farah. She shut her up real bad.

Yeah that could be the intention of the writer. But in addition, I think it was also to show how much in Farah's control he is, without even her knowledge. As I mentioned in a previous post, Farah gets flak for being selfish but Afzal is pretty selfish too. With only Farah in his mind, he is almost blind to the plight of his parents. Both him and Farah just have a different way of going about their selfishness and egos.

Now it is such a difficult choice argh
And How pathetic has been hum tv in the past year, not a single nominee for best drama lol

Woohoo! Pyare Afzal is going to totally dominate LSA's this year.๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ And yeah, pretty ridiculous to not include supporting actor category when fashion gets so many useless categories. Everyone knows among all industries LSA covers - music, film, tv and fashion, TV is the largest and most influential one. You count on its celebrities to bring the glamour quotient and star power to the event. At least give it the respect it deserves.

Yeah I ve also felt some people are just wired for bad stuff. It attracts them. They cant help being pulled towards it. That's where we get the black sheep of the family from. And Afzal definitely is one.
