Mahwish has gone to her relatives for Eid and hence she is busy πŸ˜› I haven't gotten the time to catch up on the episodes either. Have to watch the three latest ones on Zindagi's website πŸ˜ƒ

I'm also watching Aaja Sajna Milliay Julliay. Btw TOTALLY hate the name πŸ˜• Watching it only for Fawad 😳

Another brilliant post πŸ‘ I love you for this πŸ€—

The conversation at the table is so amazingly written 😳 I found it so adorably cute when he says 'Aap logo se kia parda likin behen se sharam aati' πŸ˜† And true about the conscience part. Admitting to his parents that he took them despite knowing the outcome of the visit required guts to tell but he still admitted to that 😳

How his parents reacted to his announcement of leaving for Karachi is so natural. Moulvi Sahib's 'Humein na azmao' wali lines tugged at my heart strings. How beautifully written πŸ‘ How easily he agrees to going to further larki walays to hear rejections so that his son stops talking about leaving Sometimes I think that had they allowed him to go, at least he would've kept in touch with them unlike what he ended up doing 😭 But you can't blame the parents either. No matter his ways, they love him to bits. The whole family's life revolves around him and this is shown beautifully when he gets a fever and the whole household is filled with concern with Moulvi Sahib going to get biscuits himself while Arfa hurries to make chae πŸ‘

Aww, thanks 😳 Yeah I found that behen se sharam wali line cute too. πŸ˜† He didn't know the behen would be going to his closet later and reading the letters herself. πŸ˜†

His parent's dialogues in this scene are some of the best written in the whole drama. They hit you at all the right spots. Yeah I believe so too that had they allowed him to go themselves, he would not have to resort to doing it the way he did, and they wouldn't have to go through so much pain later on. And that probably would have saved him from his eventual fate of becoming what he did in Karachi. Betting and chars on one side, but he never got involved in the really serious bad stuff in Hyderabad because of his family. Once he got cut off from them, it was all downhill from there. He probably just felt he wasn't answerable to anyone anymore. He could have really used his father's tears and his mother's slap there. πŸ˜”

Timmy bohat badtameez hai πŸ˜† A typical friend who starts making fun of even serious situations. The way Afzal glares at him though to make him shut up. Shows that he has that quality of being what he becomes later on. Even his friends are intimidated by his anger πŸ˜‰ He has that 'robe' in his personality. Robe urdu wala yaar πŸ˜† I love Ibrahim Sahib for loving Afzal and realizing that he is a great guy πŸ˜†

Hahaha yeah, and Timmy is funny. πŸ˜† But whatever doubts I had on not only these two friends but also his juway wala dost were put to rest later on when I saw them doing all they did for him.

I noticed that too... that glare he gave Timmy. And the way he flicked his cigarette away. Ghunda in the making πŸ˜† And that 'robe' uff. I remember the scene where he does his first kill, remember? And he asks Wali to call his boss. And when he doesn't, Afzal steps closer to him and repeats in a low, threatening voice, "Phone laga." Oh, my! Total transformation! πŸ‘ That's why I said in an earlier post that while he was cute in the first half, he was just plain hot in the second πŸ˜‰πŸ˜†

I like how they focussed at this stage over Shaikh Ibrahim's concern for Afzal. It is important becasue later, Shaikh sahab is going to go through some great lengths in Afzal's pursuit, and if they hadn't shown his concern at this stage, people would later have been like, "Why does he care so much about him?"

Really? I mentioned something you hadn't noticed? 😲 I feel like you've done a PhD on the drama and I'm only a beginner πŸ˜†πŸ˜†

LOL you know I had also realized just now when I started writing about it that I am WAY too much into this drama than normal 🀣 But I like it! πŸ˜‰πŸ˜†

Yes exactly. The only thing he can do is to cry to himself and that's just heartbreaking πŸ’” And no wonder he writes. Because he has to have some outlet for his emotions na πŸ˜•

Yes! That's why he writes...See? this is another example of things I figured out thanks to you! πŸ‘

Third watch? πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜† I've only watched it once properly. The impact it had on me made it a little difficult to start again πŸ˜† Us kay baad I've only watched it in bits and pieces and that too, mostly up to episode 13. When he cries in front of his friends, I always gave up at that point because lagta tha agay sadness hai πŸ˜† Though Yasmeen turned out to be quite entertaining πŸ˜† But this time, I'm having more fun watching it because I know the story tou it's like I'm focusing more on the characters and their dialogues etc 😳

Oh yeah, third watch lol... the first time I was way too curious to know what's gonna happen next to be focusing on any subtleties or characters. The plot gets very engaging after midway point and you just wanna know what's next. And during the second watch, I started noticing these little things because it helped to know the ending. Once you know what each character is going to do in the future, it's easier to analyze their present action. Then again I saw it in bits and pieces on Youtube when they had good print. And now on Zindagi again.. πŸ˜†
And btw, you're doing a pretty good job at getting your PHD in it too.. you're surely taking a very scholarly interest in it now πŸ€“πŸ˜†

And agreed, Yasmeen was a blast of fresh air! πŸ˜‰

Yaar calling her a villain is too harsh πŸ˜• πŸ˜† I guess people love Afzal so much and since she is the one who put him through all this, they blame her for his tears πŸ˜†

But if you look logically and put yourself in Farah's shoes, what would you do? A guy, well beneath her in class and status (Because let's face it, class and status matter a lot in real life whether people admit it or not), one whom she refers to as a 'mulazim' ACTUALLY comes with a proposal for her, of course she is gonna flip out at his audacity. The way she discards Mehtab as if he was nothing when he was such a rich guy shows that if she doesn't care for him, why would she care for Afzal who doesn't even have wealth as a redeeming factor? Moreover, it should also be kept in mind that she has always disliked Afzal since the very beginning because she thinks loose character ka admi hai. She wouldn't have spared him a glance if she wasn't in urgent need of his help.

Plus she knows she is beautiful and will have many suitors and that makes her even obnoxious. So insulting Afzal in front of his parents was her way of showing him his place πŸ˜• And it should be kept in mind that she doesn't know that Afzal loves her since forever and that is one fact that redeems her a little. She thinks that he has used her by turning her act on her and has tried using this opportunity to become a baray ghar ka damaad πŸ˜• So the whole insult is because of the fact that she thinks that he has tricked her into marrying him

Perfect explanation from Farah's POV πŸ‘

And yeah, that's the main reason... people are in love with Afzal and connect to him on a deeper level and that's why they hate Farah so much more. Plus, Hamza being good looking doesn't help either πŸ˜† Most of the haters are girls and for obvious reasons πŸ˜† I don't think Afzal would have garnered the same amount of sympathy had it been played by a Humayun Saeed or say, Adnan Siddiqui (honest opinion).

Yeah Zindagi does a pretty sloppy job at names πŸ˜†

I started watching it for Fawad too when it first aired but then pretty much all characters grew on me. It's hilarious! πŸ˜ƒ But I never finished it because I got used to the continuous fun in it but then like all Pakistani dramas, it got a bit serious towards the end. Don't know why they do that. Same happened with Aunn Zara. They should try making a comedy show of this caliber without halting the comic flow towards the end. Well, let's see if I can finish the show this time.
