Sadia, all the scenes that you mentioned had hugs in the novel 😭 I think Sarmad decided to not have any hugs at all.

Done with Humsafar. 😊
I have mixed feelings for the show.
Things I didn't like-The story was way too cliched. It was like watching a better version of some of Ekta's K love soaps of the last decade.I don't say it was completely bad but when a show is as much popular as this you expect something great and extraordinary. With no intention of offending anyone I didn't find the chemistry something out of the world,it was good.(I think that the popularity of the show sometimes work as a disadvantage because somehow the expectations automatically are higher).

Having said that, the performances didn't disappoint me.What surprised me in this show was that every action, every scene had a meaning, had some relevance with storyline which gets revealed when you watch it along.Like Neerja said I too liked it more after the leap and the scenes I enjoyed the most were of the small family of Asher, Khirad and Hareem.
I liked the post leap scenes majorly, the scenes b/w Hareem-Asher-Khirad.The heart sugery sequence had to be the best one and there the Asher-Khirad scenes for me were the best. How Asher comforted Khirad throughout the pain and gradually he could see through her innocent self and finally realizing getting attracted to her,her love despite everything that happened was brilliant. This shows that their love was pure and true.
Pre-leap,apart from their other scenes I liked their marriage scene also, they had a spark (of chemistry)in them because of the awkwardness from both sides.(Asher was brilliant there)I liked their scenes with Baseerat also and then they had to eliminate him for the drama.
What I also liked that they had Batul Khala and Afsheen by Khirad's side and its not like they help and later disappear, they remain till the very end which they deserved because they were Khirad's pillar of strength in the hard times.
Overall,I would say I liked the show because it had great execution(the director 👏) and some scenes were just mind blowing and heart touching. Some of them I have mentioned (the hospital scenes) and also Asher meeting his daughter after years.
The OST deserves a special mention as it is the best part of the show for me.It is so haunting
and I could say one of the main attraction for me.

I love the Ost even though i had someone translate the lyrics as i could not understand , still it haunts you . while going somewhere this OST goes on playing in the car and one thing i found that guys are loving FK also . Humsafar is a story where ZGH is more real in real world . I liked Mihira Khan as Khirad even in the starting when she was quite and spoke very les . it were her eyes only . And post sepration somany scenes which makes you touched . Khirad just rubbing herself and Asking Betule Khala dirt to be removed from her clothes . Mahira just went in to her act as Khirad after that . Her calling to Asher when she was in hospital . So many small moments .

Ekta used to kill the show stretching them into years . Have not scene any of her shows as they put me off . Yes just saw little bit of KZK as somene told me . Both leads had good chemistry but as she must be following Bold & Beautiful American soap opera , went on marriage round like merry go round . So i think its not right to compare this Humsafar anyway with K factor shows . Here MIL is not some facing making person . She did for what she had reason .
!5 th episode when she comes to his office and is not buckle down under his penetrated looks with hatred . She calmly says for what she came and leaves . Asher having her daughter,s picture and crying and controling himself . His that time acting is done so well . After sepration , there were lots of scenes . Khidar Crying while doing her prayers and Asher comes and sits besides her and her asking in childlike voice that Hareem will be alright . Asher looking at her . Very beautifully done emotional scenes . Mahira as Khirad did excellent job where she kept quite and spoke less, just throwing a look at him . People are really excited about Humsafar . FK as Asher has lived the character as perfect son , perfect father , perfect friend but his trust factor was not that strong . As was discussing with someone , she just said how could he distrust his own mother when he heard ans saw whatever was enacted before him . And his mother nailed the last stroke when he wanted to talk to Khirad and her mother told him quietly that she went away with Khizar . So can not Blame Asher also he was also the victim who was also tormented soul as Khirad was .
Humsafar is more on to motions .As you said i liked post separation part and them acting like family . FK has excelled himself as Asher as he has more emotionally charged scenes .

I think Hindi shows have authorized this hugging and all . 😊. Why do you think people are watchng Pak dramas , because of no trash . Again people are watching Idiot box for Zindgi channel . Without going for hugs ,you can feel the emotions what can be bigger achievement where romance is in the air with only looks that effects more and seems pure . I remember the scene where she is telling Asher saying Hamari Beti and her teachers telling that she has got the intelligence of her father . Look in to Asher,s eyes . He gives her support when she is totally broken . Because of pure emotions shown in Pak shows classes are watching again TV . And naturally slowly will reach in small towns also .

I brought the reference of K shows because there the two lovers would have same villains trying to pull them apart i.e. a third lover and the MIL.(But they were disgusting as they continued for years with meaningless plots). Humsafar is way better than those shows,it had a reasonable pace(neither too fast nor too slow).

well said Neerja.. the way khirad maintained her dignity, and the disgust for Asher was so visible from her attitude, her words which forced Asher to think, get confused, develop inner conflicts that why is the woman so disgusted with him when he was so faithful towards her.. i love the fact that khirad's love and disgust had so much strength and unsaid power to develop that sort of desire and want from Asher's side, his isolation wasnt the only reason for wanting her back, but also the fact that he realized how she is quiet but she has suffered too, she has suffered with a baby whose father wasnt there with them, no wonder i love Asher so much and respect khirad so much..

I just felt he was also going through inner turmoil when Khirad left the papers and picture . He wanted to trust her and do not . Asher was shown to be a polite , caring and loving person , Who never wanted to hurt anyone and irony is he himself hurt the person he proclaimed to be part of his existence but still he believe what he was shown by his mothe and he could not in his dream ever could think that hs mother is ruining her own son,s life . I can not expect our own Hindi makers to make even Humsafar kind of drama . There was time years ago but not now . This one is subtle , not a bit loud and lst two episodes just were amazing with FK,s emotional outbursts where not once he was loud . Khirad looked very pure and innocent ,kind of fragile . Asher was also watching her and must be going through turmoil . what to trust
