It is because Pakistani dramas are short and film industry is not that strong so it is kind of like how you would see a film from certain writers or directors for their previous work similarly in Pakistan PH, directors and writers are considered based on their previous work.
I will still give new writers a try if the promo is attractive or i like an actor but only actors can't hold me to a show, the overall show needs to be good.

I like that they are short and meaningful. they tell a story just in 20-25 episodes that too brilliantly.more close to reality and real life, no over te top drama and useless planning and plotting.

But one thing i must say because of limited episodes you just want t finish the show , Ashk has good story but has many faltu scenes . Numm is the shhow which i thoroughly enjoyed as it was very complex and sorry Pinkeye , i liked Fawad,s work where he was subtle but slowly became decisive . all were victims of traditions like our Khap panchyats. You tell me what to see next
Dur e shahwar is not completed yet but its nice show , relations between mother daughter . As somewhere said that grass always look more greener other side . Shukk has downloaded .
I liked the actors in Dur e Shahwar , quite bunch of good actors . So suggest next . Yes Numm remains special also because of Mahzabeen,s and Walli,s unspoken chemistry .

Me too downloading shows on pendrive and watching dem, though it's quite a task nd so time consuming.😆

I finished watching Shukk and was pleasantly surprised by it since d reveiws I had read, especially towrards d end had thrashed the show. I love shows that r based on relationships and d dynamics tht work in relations and Shukk is all abt dat. Ya it has it's loopholes, but still overall a very good drama.

Next on my list is Dastaan, Talkhiyaan and mera naseeb. Humsafar I am waiting to watch on Zindagi itself.

wow that is my all time favorite show
i watched it some years back when it was repeated on tv
and i always like Rahat Kazmi
but after watching that show i was in love with his acting skills and personality and Sahira Kazmi was also brilliant
it was truly a classic

@Bold - yeah and Rahat Kazmi was bang on as Howard Roark nd he was d Fawad Khan of his time. 😳

U knw der was an Indian serial too made on 'The Fountainhead' nd it had Divya Seth as Dominique Francon. I really liked her and she was good in her role. Also d show was very well made, but dey ended it abruptly.

It's nice dat Indian actors acknowledge dis. I can so imagine how frustrating it must be for actors with caliber like Paresh Rawal and so many like him, who r much more talented den d so-called superstars of BW, but get relegated to side characters in films or even whn dey play substantial characters, their movies don't fare as well.
