Like Murtaza-Nigar's daughters, Sidra's husband was also not shown in ZGH.
Likewise, the ceremonies are not high scale. Aiman's wedding was almost negligibly shown.
The point is showing only to-the-point stuff and not wasting time.

Maybe budget limitations is the reason. But in ZGH, how Murtuza treated his daughters from his 2nd marriage would surely have added more meaning to the whole story. After all, how the girl child was discriminated against by him, was a very important aspect of the story.
If Sara's 1st husband could be given scree space which was important to establish that track, Murtuza's other 2 daughters should have also got screen space.
According to me, this was an outcome of the direction lacking in more than many ways, no budget.

Coming back to Maat, did Azar have 2 kids or 3? They kept saying 3 and then someone talked about 2...

i just loved the ending however was still feeling that whatever aiman suffered she doesn't deserved it but it was her decision only which was wrong getting married to faisal a douchebag but aiman did gave SHEH MAAt to saman in her most important relationship that is her son even though she has selfish reasons behind this. Hadid was only reason aiman was living and she have him. at last saman got nothing same with faisal they deserve each other

Btw I disliked all the male actors in the show, lol. Except for the guy who played Hadid.

Whats with these shows being aired having uncle type men as heroes? Specially when they are being paired opposite young women. It would have made sense when he is supposed to older as per the story, but thats not the case. Maat,MQMD,Noorpur..And I saw Ishq Gumshuda's promo too. That man legit looks like my neighbour uncle.

Yeah what's with the buddhas playing leads. Saare jawan chokre kahan gaye?

Yeah they are making shows in less budget but bcoz of that as a viewer we have to assume so many things like 'Ye hua hoga..woh hua hoga' and in maat when Azar was flirting with Saman that time he was a father of two kids but after saman's divorce when Azar's wife was requesting Aiman's mother that time she said -Mein Azar ko kabka chor deti agar mere teen bache naa hote'. So sometimes he was a father of two kids and sometimes three 😆
Two or three whatever it is..
the fact is that they don't go to school bcoz every month they go for foreign trips and that too for 2-3 weeks 🤣

😆 😆
I was also thinking the same. When i heard the dialogue 'Faisal 30 saal ka hai koi baccha nahin hai' I was like 'Where are the 30years old actors of your tv industry ?'
Shukr hai faisal k smoking scenes nahin the..
In noorpur ki rani i saw a male lead with ciggaratte all the time. I didn't like the smoking scenes in Aunn zara and zindagi gulzar hai too. Aunn zara and noorpur ki rani had so many smoking scenes. Being an indian viewer i was not comfortable with it. We have never seen such lengthy smoking scenes.

At one point I was wondering if Fawad's popularity has something to do with him being the only male who looks 30. 😆
I havent seen any shows apart from ZGH and Malaal. ZGH there wasnt much of smoking. Malaal I think there wasnt any. What made me a bit uncomfortable was sex determination test done in ZGH. Since thats illegal in India I had to remind myself several times its shot in another country. Another thing was a husband's lack of involvement in his wife's pregnancy. I mean Zaroon was eager to be a good father...even later he is shown to be a doting dad...but never accompanies Kashaf for her checkups.

@shreya, zaroon did go with kashaf for her check ups but that was referred to as him saying to Asmara aaj kashaf ke saath commitment hai and him asking kashaf aaj shaam ko doctor ke paas appointment hai na, chalte hai aur mummy ko bhi saath leke chalege. It was shown in epi 24 where he brought rose bouquet fr her. But later when kashaf left him or may be in some other instances like doctor ne tumhe gender bataya was shown as if he was not at aware of things.

Regarding smoking not seen on tv or films, and being uncomfortable as an indian viewer, individual choices I guess. Bur indian news channels and entertainment channels show far more disturbing things to shake me up than just a man smoking. But yes gender specification test was a surprising fact as its not openly discussed legally here any more.

@Pinkeye: Ok I remember that now. They never emphasized that though. I guess I missed it as some important things like Kashaf coming to know of her pregancy and later the gender of her kids she goes alone.

sorry the thread is about maat but since u brought up Zaroon's involvement in Kashaf's pregnancy ..I think he was very much involved..n he did accompany her for checkups remember when he brought that rose bouquet for Kashaf that day he asked Kashaf to take Rafia along with them for Kashaf's routine checkup..also he kept asking her for her health n if she was eating properly or not..he was also deciding theme for baby's room..only when kashaf was at rafia's she had her sex determination test..I think Zaroon was all the more caring n loving post Kashaf's pregnancy!!!

These little things do catch our attention, as its a different set up. That's what I meant to ask in my thread:

What catches your attention in Pak TV shows?

Also its not about the things that we are used to which are worse and therefore smoking is mild compared to that. Its just that there are things which are done differently here, and one notices it.
We are so used to watching films with warnings "smoking kills". Its not about if it is effective or not, if its right or wrong, its just something we are accustomed too.

Sex determination is also something that crossed my mind. I guess its not illegal there, so its ok for them. If you notice, many of their scenes have people talking on the cell phone while driving, and sear belts not worn. It happens here too, but at least in a city like Mumbai, it not so common. Most of the times that kind of a scene in real life will have the Pandu hawaldars also present!😆

Another thing is having 2 wives. Having extra marital affairs is one thing, but having 2 wives at the same time in the same house, is something that will surely cause an "oh" from our audiences.
I have loads of Muslim friends here. Even they look down upon it, even though it is accepted in their religion. They too have raised their eyebrows when they watched Shuk and have shuddered as the story went along. They were also so mad at Murtuza for marrying again and also even more for the reason he married again.

Another thing is I find that the lower middle class or middle class section of society, where finances are big constraints (ZGH, Maat, among others), they live in fairly large independent houses. That's very different from what it is here, but the decor somehow is completely alien to my eye for that kind of economic section. Matching bedside lamps, large single beds, fruit juice being a part of daily life, being some of the things that always catch my attention.
But then maybe that's the way it is for people in that economic section in Pakistan. One would never see that in typical homes here in similar families.

So I guess its just basically a matter of what one is used to seeing and what not.
