Ah Kanks thats a very well written post.
Before saying anything at all about the show, let me clear one thing-I disliked the show 😆 Even before I had begun watching it. I read an overview and immediately found it very repelling. I cannot bring myself to even consider Sanam-a sister. I have a sister of my own and I love her to bits and ofcourse its the same with her. We'd NEVER EVER do something as vicious as this. So,no,I cannot bring myself to grow fond of the storyline.

That being said, one thing I noticed about Maat, was the fact that with each episode, they built some sort of curiosity. Not interest exactly, just plain curiosity to know what would happen next. How sick can Sanam get,how much pain can Aiman actually swallow. So,thats a positive for a show,I think.

Also,I SORT OF liked the 2-3 episodes towards the end.I'll tell you why. Coz the basic moral which came out in the end was the fact that even though Aiman suffered through out her life, even after Faisal ditched her at that stage of her life,Hadid stayed with her. And not with his parents.

When she said "Yeh Sheh-Maat hai Sanam",I felt a sense of...I wouldnt call it happiness. A sense of relief I guess. Hope as well,in a way. There might actually be some truth in "Achche logon ke saath achcha hota hai"-well not exactly. It could be re-phrased as "bure logon ke saath bura ho kar hi rehta hai."

So,yeah. Thats about it. Still,I wouldnt call Maat,a show that I liked. I would have appreciated the show more,if the sister rivalry was thrown out of the window.

Btw,Aamina and Saba are phenomenal actresses! Both were brilliant. 👏

Faisal and Saman both deserve each other . how can a man in his senses ,can forgive a person who ruined his and along with others life . Saman was selfish ,it was always me ,myself and Aiman going on giving anything she asked for on platter , spoilt her and then she thought everything was hers ,only she has to ask . And Why did Aiman married Faisal when she very well knew that he never loved her and has ditched her . I will just call her stupid . Marriage is for ever , she rejected good proposals just to take care of Hadeeb . And how can she be so blind that Sanam did not for once hesitated to go for faisal when Aiman told her that she always loved Faizal . And still you are blindly trusting her . Agree she is your younger sister and you love her . But repeating of same mistakes is not called stupidity .
ON and off i saw this show as story was good and more over does not drag . Here in all this I find Aiman to be blind .

I do not want to compare this show with Zindgi Gulzar Hai . This show has powerful dialogues which were very real to real life . And totally opposite in contents ans substance .

Btw I disliked all the male actors in the show, lol. Except for the guy who played Hadid.
Whats with these shows being aired having uncle type men as heroes? Specially when they are being paired opposite young women. It would have made sense when he is supposed to older as per the story, but thats not the case. Maat,MQMD,Noorpur..And I saw Ishq Gumshuda's promo too. That man legit looks like my neighbour uncle.

Also I did not find Maat realistic. Sibling rivalry is common, but any sane being would NEVER be so evil to one's sibling. Aiman was too blind and Sanam was too selfish. And I just wanted to punch Faisal in the last episode. What the eff seriously?

Aiman should have walked out with dignity , giving him tight slap on the face . And she should have claimed for the property

I honestly wanted her to actually take revenge. The Hadid factor was more of karma. But I wanted her to do something on her own. Make them pay! Come on!

What happened to Aiman's mother's house? Why did she not go there after leaving Faisal? Was anything about it mentioned in the previous episodes?

^I assumed she passed away. Aiman herself was made to look so old thanks to cosmetics and grey wigs.

I am already fed up with these revenge dramas in Hindi shows . One can always walk out with his / her head high , with dignity and ,it should have been Aiman who should have thrown Divorce papers on Faizal,s face .
