Akbari Asghari is a little like Aunn Zara. The makers are the same. It even has the same grandmother as Aunn Zara..šŸ˜†..so, it's comedy. So, Fawad's character is that of a senseless villager who gets married to one of his relatives abroad - a girl who's completely opposite to what he is. Both, have their own incentives of marrying to each other. Sanam Baloch is paired opposite Fawad. As mentioned earlier, Fawad's favorite performance of his is Akbari Asghari. You can judge for yourself after seeing a few episodes. The show is split between Fawad and Imran Abbas though.

Kuch Pyar Ka Pagalpan - I have a love and hate relationship with this show. šŸ˜† It starts off amazing and then something happens midway and you're just left wondering what on earth happened to the writer. The show tends to mess with your head. šŸ˜† However, it's still very entertaining. Even with it's flaws..you enjoy it. I personally would rate this as my favorite performance by Fawad..his character is neither black or white...and something different than what you're used to seeing him in. Plus, it's hilarious in the first 10 or so episodes. Sanam Baloch is also in this show..and I personally love their chemistry. It also has Mikaal and another actress, Ayesha Khan. I would give this a shot over Akbari Asghari only because it has a mix of drama and comedy..plus, Fawad and Sanam are really good. They were the best part of the show in my opinion.

I don't know if this helps or at least intrigues you?..this basically sums up Fawad and Sanam's relationship in Kuch Pyar Ka Pagalpan. šŸ˜†

I would give it a shot since if you're looking forward to seeing Fawad. His performance doesn't disappoint even with the flawed script. None of these shows are a ZGH though..ZGH is just something else because of its script. The two above are good for time pass.

@Starstruck: Thanks for the recommendations. I guess Fawad is one of those actors who shares a good chemistry with all his costars.šŸ˜†
ZGH has spoilt me and hence after reading discussions of you guys plus feedback from a friend I have no interest in watching Humsafar which was Fawad's most famous show. I might have liked it if it would have aired before ZGH did. I dont have any interest in these chui-mui heroines and stupid heroes any more.
I'll check out KPKP and AA. I hope we soon get news about a new show from Fawad.

I doubt they will show his other shows because Fawad's most popular shows are - Dastaan/ZGH/Humsafar. However, his other shows are Kuch Pyar Ka Pagalpan, Akbari Asghari, Ashk, and Numm.

Thanks for the info...😳

For some reason pakistani shows were a bore for me when I watched them online, even if I liked them I would wait for the episode to end.Eventually I gave up,now on television I can watch even the repeat telecast. So I hope they air Humsafar, online toh it bored the crap out of me...want to see if my opinion will change.

@rockchickgirl, yes humsafar is not a masterpiece like zgh and I so agree with you that if we indian viewers were not spoilt by zgh, we may would have enjoyed humsafar. I watched zgh first on youtube and then humsafar and was so not impressed by the storyline. It was cliche. And frankly I am in minority I guess who find fawad sanam saeed more real and adorable than Fk -Mk.

Having said that, I will request you to watch it just for fawad briiliant portrayal pf a troubled man like Ashar Hussain. Romantic scenes he always excels as its his charm. But do watch scenes post epi 11, he is perfection onscreen. Ladt two episodes and his portrayal will stay eith you for a long time. Do give it a shot.

It's funny because from what I've noticed..those who love ZGH, kinda don't like Humsafar..and those who loved Humsafar, kinda don't like ZGH. I guess that speaks volumes for what people's preferences are in a show...because both shows cater different things. Then there are a few in between...but I've seen extremes also.

With that said, if you want to see more of Fawad ..still give Humsafar a shot. His performance is awesome regardless. I think this way you can also judge the show yourself.

I was thinking of watching Humsafar on TV as thats scheduled to be aired soon as per an article. Actually watching online for me takes a LOT of motivation as I need to take out time and online shows also means a reduction on download limits so it needs to be used carefully. šŸ˜†
