I feeling like hitting him when his chauvinism speaks. It really gets me annoyed.
When he was telling Sara about what the naukars will think!😡 and even when he keeps telling her that its for her own good that she should listen to her fiance/husband.
he's really an MCP with all the double standards that men can ever have. But he's so handsome, that i tolerate him.😳😳

Guys, sorry for being a little late, but absolutely fabulous points. I really wanted to discuss and understand Kashaf as a person, and all of you brought up some wonderful points.

Thank you so much for contributing to the discussion.
@Starstruck- Hey, long time. Yes, what you said is completely true. Kashaf is comparatively mellow with Usama, but not with Zaroon. Both their egos and upbringing have shaped their personality. And you're right. She sort of uses her rudeness as a shield against everything Zaroon represents. Loved your post.
@Tripsy- You had me at "Jai Mata" shows. 😆 Yes, I wanted to say that Kashaf is rude. Misandry I understand, but her rudeness, I don't.
@ Pinkeye- Yes, I agree. She is extremely sensitive and suspicious when it comes to men. Her attitude to Zaroon is both a product of her misandry and her specific distaste for Zaroon. Great points. Thank you so much.
@ Queen - Exactly. Zaroon's attitude changed within seconds. Anyone would be suspicious, let alone a girl like Kashaf.
@ Neva Mind- Hey, yes. My point was precisely that. Kashaf is rude. Not just to Zaroon, but with everyone. I get it that she is this refreshing heroine who stands up for her rights, but being unnecessarily rude with people is not empowering. That is what second-wave feminism has mistranslated to general public. Yes, Kashaf's rudeness is her defence mechanism, her way to avoid getting close to people, but rudeness is not excusable either. It's not about Zaroon, it's about everyone.

Yeah, Kashaf is rude..and there's no excuse for being rude whenever you want. However, her rudeness stems from her internal demons. She has become a certain way where she doesn't even realize that she's being rude. She even talks like that at home. 😆 The reason why I never had a problem with Kashaf's rudeness is because I see WHY she is the way she is. Yeah, as you mentioned it's not excusable..but I have seen people like her who can be rude, outright obnoxious etc..and half of the time you have no idea why they are the way they are..here, the writer gives you some insight on why Kashaf is full of such negativity which makes the audiences understand somewhat of her personality, if not entirely (since she isn't the easiest of characters to understand 😆).

The norm is to usually be nice to people on face value even if you have countless issues..but then you do have some people like Kashaf that just spew rudeness, and don't have that facade of being nice to the world just to get by. In Kashaf's case..as I said, I don't even think she realizes any of this..her bitterness towards life, people and the world in general has just turned her a certain way.

Also...Some may confuse her rudeness with feminism or her being a strong, independent person...but I always felt her rudeness simply stemmed from her bitterness towards life. That bitterness became a part of her on a day to day to basis.

the only reason i found is her bitter past & her past experience with Zaroon... though i agree Zaroon deserves one genuine thank you... but i think Kashaf is shown one intelligent girl & she knew that Zaroon's change of behaviour is weird & hard to accept...
& more over she was jealous of all the rich people to have everything so easily & she have to struggle this much for everything... her character is not like other ordinary telly character... her character is real & has shown jealousy & helplessness & still with winners attitude...she never stops some times bcz of her winners attitude & sometimes bcz she know there is no other way out...
For the first time I can see any character which is so real...both main lead characters are real...Zaroon & Kashaf...you can connect with both...
i have no words to describe it... blame my vocabulary & lack of time...
but i think it was not hate but jealousy & her insecurity...

Well Kashaf is a complex character...unlike normal girls who flock around Zaroon all the time she doesn't like him one bit, can't stand him as well.
The hate is a mixture of things...her hatred towards life overall coz of all the failures and sadness she has seen...it is difficult for her to like people belonging to a certain class and status which has everything that she always dreamt of. Her hatred is for the whole class---UPPER CLASS. And according to her Zaroon represents that class, that status symbol for which her family needs to work hard and toil everyday.
But then her resentment towards Zaroon is specific...like she doesn't hate Osama who also represents that class and status symbol. That is coz she thinks that Zaroon is arrogant, snobbish, irritating and a highly ill-mannered man.
The second thing is that she HATES MEN----for obvious reasons. She doesn't trust anybody easily---especially men. She has an image that a man will ALWAYS be a cheat, will always play the foul game and leave the girl heart broken. It is difficult for her to trust anybody---leave a man like Zaroon who she thinks and actually is a big flirt.

P.S : Anne,I forgot to mention Kashaf it the only female character I have loved as a character till date Probably yours too. 😛
None of the tv shows sculpt good female roles. They are all about "mahaanta" nonsense. U know what I mean? 🤢

Ah...finally great that I found a forum for ZGH. On topic I feel that for Kashraf Zaroon is someone who has it all and she resents it. Something she doesnt. Lets not forget she also dislikes Asmaira and stays aloof from the whole class including her best friend Maria. In addition to that there is her misandry and his flirtatious nature doesnt help.
