JENIFER VINGET (18)
Something about my background... "This is my first television venture. I have done a film, Kuch Na Kaho where I played Abhishek Bachchan's sister. I have modeled for Johnson & Johnson and Reynolds.
Something about my role... "I am playing Simran, Kumud's best pal. I have grown up with Kumud in Ludhiana, where she was born. Kumud's mom, Kkusum, agrees to send us together to Mumbai- because Kumud has secured a scholarship, which she wants to pursue. I am shown to be crazy about boys. And I am crazy about Shah Rukh Khan and keep bragging that I know him and his family very well."
Other assignments that I have on my platter... "I am also a part of Balaji's other show Kkoi Dil Mein Hai, where I play Purva Gokhale's younger sister. After seeing me in that serial, Ekta thought that I could carry off Simran's role."
How does she shuttle between the two serials... "Had both the shows not been Balaji's, it would have been difficult. But now, my shots are so adjusted that they don't coincide."
Wasn't the serial getting boring... "It had become monotonous. The viewers were getting tired looking at the same faces again and again. I wouldn't say that the serial should have wound up, not because I am into it now, but there's no harm in trying to revive a good brand. Some zest and vigour has been added to the serial so that the story moves on."

Jennifer Winget aka Sneha of Kasautii Zindagi Kay seems to be having an identity crisis. Because of her name she is often misunderstood to be a foreigner. "Many people feel I might be a foreigner but I want to tell everyone that I am as Indian as any other. My dad is a Punjabi and my mother a Maharashtrian Christian." she exclaims. Often called Sneha, Jennifer admits "I am most often addressed as Sneha, it's only when I reveal my real name that I get funny reactions." Maybe now she would be able to convince people of her desi origins better as she has bagged the lead role for Star Plus' new TV soap Sangam where she plays a typical Indian. |
Saroj Khan to grace the grande finale of the battle of the sexes! |
by Meenakshi Shankar Sep 16, 2008, Mumbai Our ace choreographer is back yet again! |
The recent one is that Karisma Kapoor is speculated to take the seat as a third judge in the show.
Our sources inform that, "Karisma has been taken under consideration for the seat of judge but things are still to be finalized. This time it's going to be three female judges on the show."
Another two jodi's have come out in light with the assumption of being part of the show as contestants. "One couple is Sayali Bhagat and her beau Shoaib Mailk. They have been approached and are quite a known face."
"Another jodi is Karishma Tanna and Bappa Laihiri. For the uninitiated, the lanky Karishma was part of Season 3 in the quest for Talaash-E-Baliye," adds the source.
When contacted Karishma Tanna to confirm the news she says, "I have been approached but I'm not the part of the show. To be in Nach Baliye, I need to have a baliye so find some one for me and I'll be happy to be part of the show".

Saroj Khan to judge Zara… |
Zara Nachke Dikha on Star One has a new judge. No, the show is not replacing Malaika Arora Khan or Chunky Pandey but there is an addition to the panel of judges for the grand finale episode. Saroj Khan has been invited to judge the grand finale episode of Zara… Saroj Khan says, "Yes, I will be judging the grand finale episode of this show." We asked her about her expectations from contestants like, Gaurav Chopra, Narayani Shastri, Delnaz Paul, whom she has judged earlier in Nach Baliye. She replied saying, "In today's times, one can't have any expectations from their own children, so I don't have any expectations from them. I will get impressed if they do better than what they have done earlier." As of now, the girl's team is ahead of the boy's team in terms of scores. But they are still determined to defeat the girls. This episode will be the last opportunity for the boys to prove themselves. The grand finale will air on September 28 (Sunday). It is a three hour episode. |
