She works with whatever little she's given and stands out.

I don't think I'll ever get tired of saying how great she's looking. She always has!

Kuhu has always been a priority of her parents, they didn't hate Mishti like Jasmeet so Kuhu doesn't consider them a part of her inner circle or people she goes to when in trouble, didn't Varsha tell Badi Ma that she is not leaving the house as mark of respect for Bade Pa but she can't live happily with Mishti?

Kunal is a different matter, I personally feel Kuhu could have chosen a better husband, I don't like Kunal as a husband, I don't think Kuhu loves him

I mean who would care about Mishti when she is finally getting the love of her life? She didn't stop Kunal from drinking the spiked coffee, I personally don't see love in this relationship and think Kuhu, with a man she loves, wouldn't care about Mishti

The reason I made this post was to understand how Kuhu is a good person or her insecurities are justified when she hides wedding cards and berates Mishti with Jas and Meenu, she knows Mishti wasn't at fault because she hid those cards, wouldn't a good person feel bad for it? How's her Insecurity rational here?

About Jasmeet, she doesn't abuse only Mishti, in the beginning, she also called Kuhu vamp based on the hair also said no one will like her because of her hair. I believe that she might have called names to Kuhu in her childhood based her Jasmeet personality. Also one thing about Jasmeet is she always read people's mind so well as she is first one in the family to know that Kuhu loves Kunal also tells her son that Mishti is still loving Abir and stop the wedding etc. Jasmeet is teaming up with Kuhu not because of the inner circle things but she knows that it is easy to manipulate Kuhu based on her insecurities. I think that Jasmeet hate kind of increased after Mishti-Nannu wedding cancellation and that track is so crap and so many loopholes.

According to me, Kuhu's love is true and completely respect your opinion. Am I justifying Kuhu's insecurities? No, I am not. That why I written Kuhu loses her brain cells when it comes to Mishti topic and it affecting her in other relationships. She thinks that she is keeping it separate but everything is interlinked and she is losing it big time. I believe that she should get some sort of punishment or realization that could be good closure for her character. As a fan, I can expect a lot of things from this show differently but writers think differently.

"The reason I made this post was to understand how Kuhu is a good person or her insecurities are justified..."

Kuhu has some very sound reasons for her insecurities - she is an illegitimate child, accepted by her father's wife, but there is still bound to be the feeling that you don't belong. She came out of that insecurity when everyone around her kept assuring her she was wanted. That changed when Mishti came into the family and her needs took priority with the family except for her parents (not saying they shouldn't or that Mishti doesn't have her own insecurities, but you asked about Kuhu and that's where I'm focusing). I think she started projecting on Mishti at that point to cope, and hasn't stopped since. It doesn't help that she got married to someone she liked to find out it was all an elaborate ruse to keep Mishti away. It doesn't matter who actually caused her problems, it is easier and more convenient to blame Mishti for them.

When Mishti is not around or in any way can be considered (in her mind) to be competing with her, she is mostly sensible and behaves pretty well with most. She is forgiving and helpful. She also has the strength to try to handle things herself instead of worrying the family. Mishti and Kuhu are very different people, with completely different thoughts, actions, and reactions to things. People can have good and bad qualities, right? I can't see her as bad or evil because she does care about others. Her thought process and priorities are different, and a little harder to understand and accept.

This is all pre-break. I'm still trying to understand post-break Kuhu. Her current behavior with Mishti is inexcusable. My only thought is that they want to show what happens when you don't try to take responsibility for your insecurities, and people around you try to take advantage of that and you have no one around to help you deal with your problems.

What is the reason for her Insecurity? Is it rational for her to have negative feelings for Mishti? What did Mishti take away from her?

I assume you made this post to genuinely seek answers for the things you fail to understand in the show, the actual reasons for Kuhu's insecurities wrt Mishti, and not to just bash the character, so I will try to address some of your concerns based on my understanding, since I had also struggled to understand the motivations & pov of Kuhu

I don't understand the blame of it on BM and BP, they are Kuhu's grandparents, they have more kids to care about than making Kuhu the centre of their lives, isn't it expected that Grandparents will care about all of their grandchildren? I honestly don't understand how Mishti's absence would mean that Kuhu gets all attention, don't BP and BM have other grandchildren?

during baba track when Kuhu had come back to Maheshwaris, BM & Kuhu go out one night & on their return Kuhu confesses to BM that she had lot of fun & they should do this often & BM confirms that she got so busy in taking care of Mishti, (because Mishti needed her attention being in a vulnerable state) that she missed out on spending time with Kuhu, so clearly Kuhu didnt get the amount of love & attention she craved from her BM-BP because they were occupied with Mishti(who clearly needed their support & care atm)

another example is that when the maheshwaris get to know about kuku friendship (post Mishti-Kunal breakup) they clearly tell her to forget Kunal because Meenu insulted them

but Meenu also insulted them(Kuhu) by offering the rishta-swap, but BM accepted the rishta for Mishti

so clearly BM-BP prefers Mishti over Kuhu but it should not be a problem because Varsha-Shaurya are there to prefer Kuhu

but we have never seen any incidence where they have taken any decision without BP-BM permission/approval, because they are the head of the family so as their daughter Mishti is accountable to them directly

after kuku divorce reveal when Maheshwaris visit Rajvansh Sadan, BP asks Shaurya for his decision & he says he needs BP's suggestion to decide for kuku wedding, seeing all this drama Kuhu takes the matter in her hands & clearly refuses to sign divorce papers

Didn't Mishti help Kuhu and Kunal after her breakup with Kunal?

do you mean after Mishti-Kunal GD? yes she does & also confesses to Abir that 'GD tootne ke baad laga sab kkuchh khatam ho gaya hai' she was feeling guilty but kuku's love story gave her hope of establishing better relations between 2 families, which she thought were ruined by her rejecting Kunal

if Kuhu's motivations for helping Mishbir can be questioned then Mishbir's motivations for supporting kuku/Kuhu can be questioned too

What did Kuhu do? To get married to Kunal, she became a part of Meenakshi and Kunal's vicious plan against Mishbir and tried to break them up

Kuhu's later on herself confessed to Abir 'main pyaar mein andhi ho gayi hun', inspite of doing all this Kunal still gave her divorce papers, so for me it was a poetic justice for kuku, they had started liking each other (as seen in the Mishbir GD mahaepisode) but had to separate

Here too, Mishti was leaving India to make sure Kuhu marries Kunal, she was going away from her love to give Kuhu, the love of her life

Kuhu did not know of Meenu's blackmail for Kuhu, and Mishti revealed Kuhu's birth truth & insulted her, but then came back because Abir brought her back

does Kuhu know about all the facts in this incidence?

Kuhu got married to Kunal, who didn't love her, Kunal broke her heart on their wedding night, she got to know that Kunal used her all along, treated her like "Nothing", not even worthy of his hatred

What does Kuhu do? Blames Mishti, why?

because thats what Kunal told her, all this was a plan, to make Kuhu believe that Kunal loves her & then when the families fix their rishta Kunal breaks it, which later got to the point that it would be more impactful when Kunal leaves Kuhu at mandap and Kunal ran away from his wedding, so the Maheshwaris will be humiliated & will never consider Abir for their other daughter Mishti

the whole saazish was just to keep Mishti away from Rajvanshs/Abir

She got what she wanted, Kunal used her and blame goes to Mishti 👏

None blames Kunal, who used a woman to break his brother's relationship, Kuhu has NO bad feelings for people who USED her, instead she HATES on someone who HELPED her

Kuhu blamed Kunal as well, both pre-leap & post-leap

Who was Kuhu's support system throughout her divorce with Kunal? Abir

and Kuhu also supported him after his breakup

Mishti revealed Kuhu's divorce to everyone, was it wrong? Yes, did she go without blame?

Mishti was slapped in front of everyone

not in front of everyone, in front of Abinal who were present in the scene, & Mishti slapped Kuhu for pills fiasco too

(though I personally did not like both scenes, I hate this slap-fest, violence in any form in family shows just to add to drama is unacceptable for me)

What has Mishti done to Kuhu after her marriage with Abir? Is Kuhu letting her live a day in Rajvansh house without making her life a hell? What has Mishti done to her? Can anyone explain?

when Kuhu breaks the necklace she apologises to Mishti & tries to explain that it was accidental & she did not intend to break it, (she was angry for Mishti getting necklace but calms down as soon as she remembers Kunal's words 'main tumhe aise hazaar haar laa dunga') but Mishti refuses ti listen & decides to punish her by not letting her participate in the Shivratri preparations, even when Kunal 7 Abir ask for her help, Kuhu restrains herself & sticks to Mishti's orders

also:

kuhu came to know on her wedding night only after grah pravesh that abir brought kunal back during their 1st wedding when he had ran off, but she never blamed or even held Abir accountable or thought of him having a role in putting her through the whole fake wedding, she always blamed kunal for fooling her

after the kuhu divorce reveal, when Meenu talks to Kuhu, she clearly says that I love Rajvansh family but I cant stay in same house as Mishti & only agrees to give her marriage a 2nd chance & not leave Rajvansh house when Meenu encourages her that she should not leave her haq

during mishbir pehli rasoi, when Kuhu breaks the necklace she apologises to Mishti & tries to explain that it was accidental & she did not intend to break it, (she was angry for Mishti getting necklace but calms down as soon as she remembers Kunal's words 'main tumhe aise hazaar haar laa dunga') but Mishti refuses ti listen & decides to punish her by not letting her participate in the Shivratri preparations, even when Kunal 7 Abir ask for her help, Kuhu restrains herself & sticks to Mishti's orders

It’s more like not Kuhu’s insecurities but her behaviour that is inexcusable, unjustified and questionable

Her insecurities might get an excuse or justification, for that matter

She can have insecurities just like Abir, Kunal and Mishti have(serials normally use insecurities to project positive or negative, but there is a difference as your moral compass leads to what you do or the manner you behave in)

But how she behaves is her choice and she prefers going down the drain rather than fighting her and others insecurities (or the stupid people (writers) can be blamed who forget how these characters should be developed) kuhu could be so much more and better but creatives have ruined her character aur ab aur drama ho ra hai roz

She has become just like Kunal - anyone can manipulate her - also anyone can make her do as they please as long as they accept her said behaviour and excuse her wrong doings and give her importance

One thing is true Kaveri is a good actress, she is hated for her negative shades and was/is loved for her positive ones

Agree with most of what you have said, actually everything. I haven't seen post break episodes so won't comment on that at all.

My imagination of what happened when Mishti was brought into the MH is a bit different from yours because we were left to fill those gaps according to our understanding of the characters. I saw the little Kuhu episodes recently (in my attempt to make the Varsha-Kuhu VM), so I filled the gaps that would join both the shows somehow. I know you haven't asked but mai abhi likh rahi hoon toh likh hi deti hoon because you already know how I am with replies. So, in my imagination, Kuhu was pretty happy to see Mishti because she finally had someone who was around her age in the house, but Mishti had a lot of baggage which the family members probably wouldn't have shared with Kuhu at that time (I say that seeing how BP-BM run things). Mishti would have closed her off because of her own struggles and the family members would have been more involved with her, leaving Kuhu with no one to share her emotions with. I say family members because of whatever scenes we have been shown where the other family members talk about Mishti or rather interact with her. During Holika Dahan, Shaurya had called her his daughter Later on, when Kuhu was drunk and standing on the ledge of the hotel and Mishti tells her that Varsha is worried, she says, "Ab kya kiya unki beti Mishti ne?!". I don't remember other instances because I don't remember the show that well and I've only re-watched 10episodes.

How I imagine it, by the time, Kuhu would have gotten to know about Mishti's struggles, they both would have had their own defence mechanisms in place. Mishti didn't trust anyone enough to let them in (contrary to what Kuhu would have wanted from an elder sister) and Kuhu who was lonely and saw Mishti being praised for all her hardwork and achievements in studies would have started feeling forgotten.

The competition thing is something that has been fueled by Mishti and taken a notch forward by Kuhu. In the backdoor pilot and the 1st episode of the show, we saw Mishti mention that she can't let Kuhu win in the cycle race, whereas Kuhu is worried about how everyone in the house will praise Mishti if she wins, and then she refers to tortoise always coming 1st in everything which is when we see Kuhu getting super annoyed and pulling a prank on her.

Kuhu's so-called insecurity and jealousy and her actions as a result of them were still kind of believable before and her behavior has always been questionable - but now they have been stretched to a point where you feel like muting the TV whenever the character starts talking.

Writers have ruined her character and I see no hope now!

Also, before we had one Kuhu whose life constantly revolved around blaming Mishti, now we have 4 "Kuhu"s in the show.

No idea where Makers are going with this?!

And I find it amusing that the topic is about Kuhu, but justifications are given for Kaveri! No one is questioning Kaveri here from what I can see.

Funny thing is, I don't really think anyone is interested in calling Kuhu a victim, nor is Kuhu the kind of person to love being victimized (I personally think she'd hate being called a victim). And one thing that is so, so important to remember: You can call someone's behavior inexcusable, but it's not fair to invalidate someone's insecurities/feelings/emotions. Insecurities are an incredibly human thing, so human that we can't control what insecurities we get and from where we get them. I totally agree that when Mishti came back, Kuhu totally lost her marbles and acted completely differently than how we would see her acting otherwise. I'm definitely not justifying her behavior as of late, because there were so many more peaceful/less confrontational ways she could've chosen to go about things. But I wouldn't go so far as to call her insecurities or feelings about something invalid, because it isn't something that can be easily controlled, at least without the support of understanding family members and possibly even a therapist. The minute we start invalidating someone's emotions and saying, "well, you're not allowed to feel that way!", we start sliding down a slippery slope leading a more harmful mentality; a mentality that believes in gaslighting people based on how we think they should feel.

I personally think that this track is almost throwing Kuhu under the bus repeatedly, but not quite yet, because they want the character to have a convincing redemption in the future. And it's incredibly frustrating to watch as a person who has admired and appreciated her character and how wonderfully it has been executed on screen by Kaveri.
