Insecurities never excuses atrocities. Simply put Kuhu's criminal activities (pill fiasco and pushing Mish off pyramid) only makes the character non redeemable. Now toh I don't even have hope of Kuhu being human enough to stand by MishBir after the truth of Mishti's PTSD comes out.

P.S. I'll never be tired of saying how great Kaveri is for such a poorly written role.

Kuhu has some very sound reasons for her insecurities - she is an illegitimate child, accepted by her father's wife, but there is still bound to be the feeling that you don't belong. She came out of that insecurity when everyone around her kept assuring her she was wanted. That changed when Mishti came into the family and her needs took priority with the family except for her parents (not saying they shouldn't or that Mishti doesn't have her own insecurities, but you asked about Kuhu and that's where I'm focusing). I think she started projecting on Mishti at that point to cope, and hasn't stopped since. It doesn't help that she got married to someone she liked to find out it was all an elaborate ruse to keep Mishti away. It doesn't matter who actually caused her problems, it is easier and more convenient to blame Mishti for them.

When Mishti is not around or in any way can be considered (in her mind) to be competing with her, she is mostly sensible and behaves pretty well with most. She is forgiving and helpful. She also has the strength to try to handle things herself instead of worrying the family. Mishti and Kuhu are very different people, with completely different thoughts, actions, and reactions to things. People can have good and bad qualities, right? I can't see her as bad or evil because she does care about others. Her thought process and priorities are different, and a little harder to understand and accept.

This is all pre-break. I'm still trying to understand post-break Kuhu. Her current behavior with Mishti is inexcusable. My only thought is that they want to show what happens when you don't try to take responsibility for your insecurities, and people around you try to take advantage of that and you have no one around to help you deal with your problems.

@Bold

I guess, There's the difference between our opinion.

People have good and bad qualities but are not evil, is limited to people like Mishti, Abir and Kunal

These three have good and bad qualities but they are not evil

Kuhu attempted to murder Mishti, how can she compensate something like a murder attempt by being good to anyone?

For me, Kuhu crossed the line between good and bad when she pushed a child in her hatred, It wasn't only Mishti who could have died but Abir and many kids were there too

It didn't happen by mistake, It didn't happen with good intentions, she didn't own upto it and blamed Kunal for it

Kuhu cares about everyone failed for me when she didn't stop anyone from drinking spiked coffee, if you remember Kunal stopped Nishant from drinking it because Kunal is the character who is good or bad but not evil, Kuhu on the other hand didn't think about anyone, not even Kunal and blamed Mishti for not drinking it. She blamed Parul in front of everyone for the pill fiasco, she saw how Kunal was trying to accept her as his mother

What has changed after break?

Didn't Kuhu send email from Mishti's email account then looked on as everyone blamed Mishti

After break, she stole cards and berated Mishti for it

Kuhu has abused Mishti emotionally and physically for years, she is still doing it

One can justify attempt to murder and blame Mishti/Kunal/BM/BP but I don't see how it works, sometimes Kuhu is responsible for her actions

I am just trying to understand what level of insecurity forces someone to do what Kuhu does to Mishti? How is it justified? Did Kuhu ever try to work on it?

For Kuhu, the feelings towards Mishti are one dimensional. She has a problem relating to different feelings at the same time. (To her a person can never be a combination of good or bad its either good or totally bad)

Towards Mishti,it has always been hating, blaming and disdain and based on circumstances, the attributes change. Negative behavior all along like competitive when there is an activity involved, guilt when she pushed her from pyramid and fear towards her family during the Nannu debacle. She does come and tell Abir not to trouble Mishti or yell at her but its little concern at that one point because then again, this concern is more out of love for Nannu than concern for Mishti.

Even before meeting Abir to call him out on Kunal with drugging Nannu, she does warn Mishti to forget Abir. She hurts her time and time again and calls her a lost pup, a freeloader, a murderer’s daughter amongst other mean and rude things like asking her to get out of the house. There is no excuse for this kind of vile obnoxious behavior whatsoever. As kids we learn certain things but as adults, we change but Kuhu has remained the same - superficial and mean.

She even acts rude with Parul Maasi because she associates Maasi with lack of power in the RV Household and considers her weak but BB she worships when she is in fact who named her “Dragon Saas”. Towards Kunal too, pre break it was more of an infatuation towards his wealth and power and of hate for Mishti than love for him. He used her for his mission to break Mishbir up but even knowing that no self-respecting person would have stayed with him. She snatched Mishti’s Mandap, her day selfishly (we all know it was selfish no matter how much we love Kaveri). Which sane person will allow her husband (after marrying him for the second time) to drink the cold coffee she doubted had pills in while she accidentally spilled hers?

She doesn’t know the meaning of love other than that which serves her interest, purpose, namely BP/BM, her parents who provide for her, Jasmeet who caters to her whims and fancies of bashing Mishti. If Jasmeet were to switch sides to support Mishti, she will hate her too.

It has always been about her, her greatness glory and anyone who comes in the way of that is evil. Where everyone like Maami, Jasmeet fuel her with their waah waahi and support, Mishti has been the only one that has called a spade a spade and Kuhu hates her more because of that. Mishti has helped and supported her all along even by slapping Kunal to show him the right way but she refuses to see the good in her; “only that she is Mishti Mahaan and I hate her”.

On a deeper psychological level, Kuhu I feel is a confused admirer of Mishti because she cannot figure out why everyone loves Mishti and why she is actually Mishti Mahaan and she and Jasmeet enjoy breaking her because they never can be the gold that Mishti is.

Where Mishti has used her insecurities to love and heal, Kuhu has used her insecurities to hate. The Yin to Yang.

Arre Makers will make sure to create a situation where Kuhu eventually helps Abir a tiny bit with something and that will be her redemption, all that she is doing now will be forgotten in an instant.

No one in our show ever gets called out for any of their actions anyway except Mishti and Abir and ultimately these two only try and make up to everyone.

So I am kind of prepared that the track will end with MishBir saying sorry to Kuhu and all the other family members.

He was the one who tricked mishti to meet abir during raat jaaga night so that they can clear off their misunderstandings

Kuhu's did help mishbir but her main intention was to keep nannu out of a loveless marriage....

And if we are really analysing that ways 😆 Then kuhu should be grateful to abir for life 😆 if he didnt bring back kunal on his first wedding day , toh shaadi hoti hi nahi ...

But really kuhu deserves a thank you for taking a tiny stand for mishti there where she shouts at abir vo itna kare toh bhi kitna zyada lagta hai 😆

Bhai yeh bahut galat baat hain nanko ko koi uska deserved credit nahi deta😔😔😔

Bechare ne toh meenu se bhi lad para mishbir ke liye phir bhi log usko credit nahi dete. 😔😔

Why should kuhu be thankful to Abir just bec he brought his brother back on wedding day & hidden it from all Maheshwaries. That dreadful day is the only reason Kuhu's life spoiled who was tricked in fake marriage.Abir also have not apologised for the incident neither kuhu held Abir responsible for hiding truth.I wished the marriage had called off that day itself then we could have witness a different kuku story.

Kuhu is always used by cvs when their particular plot/track flops e.g nishmish track her full character growth took U turn just bec nishant left.Similarly the current PTSD track is not working they are back to use meenu/kuhu/Jasmeet.Within one week they are winding up the track .

Not only kuhu even kunal track of birth truth & divorce truth they have to implement in between Nishant track / Wedding to get back the audience they lost during horrible Nishmish attack.

Oh god! Nobody can die from that height! Can we stop calling it an attempt to murder please, because that is not what it was.

Not saying that it was correct of her to do. Not at all. It was 100% wrong but let's call it what it was. An attempt to physically hurt. It was so not an attempt to murder. Thoda toh realistically baat karte hain. And the pills thing was an accident. Why do people talk about it as if it was intentional. She stopped herself from putting the pills in. Yes, she did not stop anyone but people do that when they don't want to be caught and blamed for something. Look at Abir for example, he is taunting everyone left, right and centre so that nobody finds out what happened. You go into fight or flight mode when things like this happen.

Also, thanks for clearing it up with your multiple replies that it was actually a post created to bash Kuhu and not understand her character because quite a few people have tried explaining it here but you seem to circle back to the only 2 incidents that paint her in a super bad light.

This is a request from someone who suffers from mental health issues (and is in touch with professionals to get better).

Please don't talk about these things as if you understand mental health and also malign the memory of a deceased person because your recent posts (and this one as well) have time and again proved that you are not an expert. Someone who understands mental health issues would be very empathetic and not dismiss people's emotions and gaslight them. All you doing here is triggering other people and it's a humble request from my side: please please please don't do that.

@Bold

What? Is height responsible for death or physical injury? Its not that I didn't expect justification but I really didn't expect the minimum height required for people to die justification.

It wasn't "Wrong" it was a "Crime"

Do people actually believe that what Kuhu did wouldn't lead to death when kids were involved in it?

People die from slipping on the floor, There's no height limit, Kuhu wasn't being considerate when she attempted to physically hurt Mishti (As if it makes it less of a crime or makes Kuhu a better person)

I never claimed that I like Kuhu not did I claim that I want to understand her character, I have maintained, I want to understand what's the level of insecurity which leads to something like this. Kuhu gets bashed anyway, I don't have to go out of my way to create a post for it

I have mentioned many incidents in multiple posts but these two stand out for shaping my opinion on Kuhu, I don't see "She is good to Ketu, thoda crime kar liya to kya hota hai?"
