@bold: Bhai Kuhu ka koi bharosa nahin.😆 That would be so cool! I've never seen a female character in ITV who is interested in cars but isn't a 'tomboy'.

I wasn't completely going by the VM. But it did make me think, what if, in fact, Kunal was the one who saw and fell for Kuhu first and Kuhu simply appreciates how good looking Kunal is. I imagined that their personalities are similar to what they are now but their story/conflicts would be different. Kunal is still devoted to his family and Kuhu still dislikes/hates Mishti. They get married happily but their journey of falling in love and getting on the same page is through small experiences and conversations. As I said, Kunal has already fallen for Kuhu and her nature while for Kuhu, seeing her parents, believes in working on marriage. So even though she doesn't initially 'love' Kunal she's happy to work on her marriage and find love.

These are just some unedited thoughts of mine so they may not make complete sense.

Oooh!!! I like this thought of him trusting her but saying 'No' because he wants to know the truth.

I was thinking that he was trying to say something else and when she questions him, he just tells her the truth because he doesn't know her enough to trust her yet. I mean, does he trust anyone apart from his maa and bhai? During the sleeping pill thing also, he was asking questions to anyone and everyone because his Bhai was unwell. So, it makes me wonder how much does he trust his other family members?

I don't think I have ever seen a girl be more interested in cars. Sach kahoon to I can't remember a male character also. But in my head, it would be so funny if that happened. The girl was just impressed with the car and the guy gets completely baffled because even though she is impressed, it's not him she is impressed with. And then the whole rishta thing happens.

I just realised that in most of the shows I've watched, the guy usually falls for the girl first. Not saying that the opposite does not exist. It does but usually, the girl falls for the guy after marriage or if it's before marriage, it's usually a teenage show. Have you guys seen another show where the girl falls for the guy? The only one I can think of right now is Shararat, and that was long back.

When I watched it with the intention to know what the tilt was about, thats what I made out but I do agree that he honestly didn’t know her that well to trust her but he did have to think about it for a minute. Before this, they had a budding friendship happening and he was comfortable with her so that’s probably why she asked that.

Another Theory: During this time Swetha’s betrayal is also fresh in his head always, when someone betrays you and takes advantage of you, it’s really hard for you to trust another person- that could be another reason he says no to Kuhu bluntly.

About Kunal trusting others: I know right.. It’s really hard for him to trust or be open with anyone other than Bhai and Ma. And I don’t know what reasons his Ma has given him to get such blind trust Well, during that time I was willing to be lenient with him because he felt like his world was going upside down with Bhai unwell. But he was testing my last patience when he questioned Maasi and Kuhu that harshly.

All of a sudden I've forgotten all the ITV shows that I've watched over the years. But I'm sure there have been 1 or 2 where the girl falls for the guy. The only one I can think of right now is mahi way. I'll come back to this when I recover from my memory loss.

@pihu: I think there are many itv shows where FL falls in love first, though she may not confess & fight for her love like kuhu, infact I cant recall any itv FL who has been so vocal & open about her feelings for ML like kuhu

but in many ekta shows I think FL falls for ML first, or atleast realises her feelings first, like in both Kasautis, prerna falls for anu first, even navya fell for anant first, I think

that thread is beautiful! I love the way the writer expressed his inner guilt and torment. When you read something like that, it gives you a better perspective into the character.

The only one I could think of was in kuch rang, sona falls first. But I agree with peace, a rare number of itv heroines have fought for her love from the get go. Usually they wait for the hero to realize. Kuhu was adamant and believed that Kunal was the one for her and went through so much to finally be a part of his life.
