When I watched it with the intention to know what the tilt was about, thats what I made out but I do agree that he honestly didn’t know her that well to trust her but he did have to think about it for a minute. Before this, they had a budding friendship happening and he was comfortable with her so that’s probably why she asked that.
Another Theory: During this time Swetha’s betrayal is also fresh in his head always, when someone betrays you and takes advantage of you, it’s really hard for you to trust another person- that could be another reason he says no to Kuhu bluntly.
About Kunal trusting others: I know right.. It’s really hard for him to trust or be open with anyone other than Bhai and Ma. And I don’t know what reasons his Ma has given him to get such blind trust Well, during that time I was willing to be lenient with him because he felt like his world was going upside down with Bhai unwell. But he was testing my last patience when he questioned Maasi and Kuhu that harshly.
@bold: And that in turn results in the lack of trust that Kuhu has in Kunal which means she isn't able to open up to him completely atm. It's a vicious cycle. Someone or something needs to break it for their story to move forward.
