Ever since they axed the few shows in sony, I have been thinking the same thing. But I think the probability of the show being cancelled is pretty low since it was doing well in the TRP chart before the lockdown.

I do feel that once the shoot resumes and the shows are on air again, there will be a cut-throat competition to win the TRP race. This will of course affect the storylines of the shows. I think the first victim of the this TRP race will be Kuhu. I fear that they will change her character for the worse in order to create more drama, which of course means more TRP.

But yes I agree with you that the shoot is unlikely to resume in the next few months because COVID can spread rapidly and infect a very high number of people in a short period of time. Where I live, there were barely any cases in March but now there are more than 4400 people dead, so I am sure that the lockdown in India will not be lifted till the end of summer. ( Which I think is the best course of action) Let's hope for the best 😊

After writing the post I also felt that am probably unreasonably jumping the guns. It can't be practical enough for a channel to completely go for a new line up of shows. Also Mr. Rajan Shahi has three shows with the channel, two of which were already doing well so I doubt if they would look to upset an important producer.

There would definitely be an added pressure for them to engage the viewers again and perhaps they would look to introduce something very dramatic right away. But that said there's still a long time before the shoot finally resumes so I would reserve my speculations for the storyline for a much later time :)

I have to say I think this show will survive because TRP was high when the show went off air. They left on a cliffhanger and the fandoms are still super active so I don't think we need to worry about its survival.

I am more worried about what Nikki said about the makers butchering Kuhu's character.

But even before they get to that I guess they have a whole lot of brainstorming to do over how they are gonna go ahead with shoots. It is going to be very tricky and risky even if we are speaking of a time two or three months down the line.

Truly a crisis which has brought about an unprecedented situation for all businesses.
