What intrigued me from the live segment was when he was taking about the phase where Kunal hated Mishti and that he discussed this with several people including the director. He was consious that there should be a distinction between him been 'bad' and being able to justify his anger as for the love of his brother. So young actors are concerned with whether their characters are justifiable/redeemable.

That made me think whether the same question was brought up about Kuhu. I mean she dislikes Mishti, the female lead of an Indian TV show! I wonder if Kaveri addressed her concerns about her character especially after the promo and the Nishant track ended; there was an increase in her 'agressiveness' towards Mishti. Before the leap we saw a realistic progession in their relationship. Again, we know the situation and circumstances had changed but her dislike for Mishti is now so obviously affecting her relationship with the other members of the RV family like with Parul, for example and she's also started to take in everything her chachi spews. There was a distinction earlier. Were these changes in her character adressed? What was the directors response, I wonder?

We've understood why Kuhu is the way she is because we've taken the time to dig deeper or we relate on some level but most people only see the surface level drama. So why have we stopped getting these obvious insights into her thinking through dialogues? Was it intentional to make her more dramatic? Is is that her character is much more disposable because she's a parallel female lead?

I'm sure Kaveri must have felt somewhat uncomfortable with the sudden turn that Kuhu took, but minus those ugly promos, I still find Kuhu's actions consistent with the original sketch of the character. Like Ritvik said, Kuhu has always been a character that loves everyone a lot, but can be gullible and easily influenced. Even in regard to her behavior with Parul, it isn't out of malice. It's out of fear that her chachi put in her head. And since she can be so easily influenced to a fault, she makes terrible mistakes. That's why just like you, I'm curious as to how Kaveri must have felt when asked to film those promos. They color a picture that is supposed to be grey, black and white instead. They make a deeper, meaningful plot extremely shallow.

Oh well. That's ITV for you, I guess.

Thanks Snow! It's so funny that you say that because after being guilty of cramming temptations myself, your shaadi 2.0 VM is actually what inspired me to slow things down.

I hadn't heard this song before Peace recommended it either but I immediately felt like this particular verse had Kuku divorce calendar written all over it!

Thank you!! ❤️ Oh that's easy -- I only make a VM if listening to the song automatically brings scenes to mind. The divorce calendar came to mind as soon as I heard "pal pal ginke guzaara" and then as I was editing I decided to make the whole thing about the fake marriage, grace period, and divorce papers.

As for Kaveri and Kuhu, it looks like she's been shafted from our vantage point, but I think Kuhu (with all her ups and downs) is actually perfect from a career perspective. Kaveri doesn't really strike me as the type of actor who wants to stick around the daily soap genre forever, and with a character like Kuhu, she avoids getting typecast into that mahaan FL brand, which is very hard to break once you've found lasting success in it. All the TV actors who have broken into bigger media either seem to have done supporting roles, offbeat roles, or shows that didn't last too long or make a lasting impact -- I am thinking of people like Mouni Roy, Mrunal Thakur, and Radhika Madan (more examples if you include the guys). I think Sushant might be the only example of someone who was huge in mainstream TV and went on to be huge in films as well, otherwise there seems to be very little translatability. A role like Kuhu gives Kaveri a lot more flexibility, I think and that's exciting to think about. 😃

Kuhu fell in love at first sight. Yes, there was a time when she felt like a loser in love but then she decided to be brave and give love a chance. She literally waited so much for Kunal and in the future too,she definitely would. She endured all his insults just to win his love. It was her constant efforts that softened kunal's heart. She had always dreamt of her prince charming and finally, it was time that brought her closer to Kunal, fulfilling her dream of #epiclovestory.
