She wanted to keep Parul and her munna in her control by reminding them that they shouldn't ever go against her wishes. Shwet was Kunal's choice not Meenu's. Hence, she kept her jewellery to warn them.

She thinks that she is not worthy of his friendship toh kaahe ka love realisation? She feels that she doesn't deserve love at all. Right from her parents to grandmother to sister to Meenakshi, all have rejected her and blamed her. She has already been disliked so much that she herself doubts if she ever receives care or concern from anyone other than Bade Papa or Badi Maa. And hence, her realisation of love will take a long time.
