In the end we should think beyond show, a character , his daughter , his wife to understand these laws as they are laid down to protect rights of an artist. So i was able to understand by keeping my liking for a character aside i hope you will be able to understand as well.

PS: DKP can not afford hina's clips or photos anymore as she is a well know popular actress. She might have only permitted them to use the initial entry video hence they just add it once in the beginning of every season.

Whatever clips that they add in between actors or his prs will be aware of it. As they have to ensure those will not impact actors career.

They used Hina’s photos in S2 and now showing all characters FB’s in S4 from last season though they don’t mention the names or show photos of the useless n disappeared characters. So that proves they don’t need any permissions to post pics or videos of their own damn show and the characters they created unless they r morphing or doing something illegal. It’s just how important and relevant that character holds in the show and season.

Until unless a person get paid for a character till character will be mentioned his or her photos as well as videos as that character are production house property...

There is a major difference between character and actor. DKP can replace akshara maheshwari and use her as much as he can but they can not use hina khan post her contract ends.

Exactly and show is owned by production house and channel who paid actors to work in it…not actor’s own show to give permission and all

Yeah Abhira is sunshine girl plus the actress playing it has amazing voice modulation…

I also know how annoying it is for gen 4 fans to see multiple posts of last gen character which they are not even aware of .So since i know the pain i do not even visit edts or other posts.

Except some posts or cc or posts that i am tagged into.in the end this is open forum and consists of all gen fans. I have suggested vijay to split the forum but until that happens everyone has to learn to adjust.

Actually. it depends on the contract of the actors. If the contract says that the PH and channel who own the IP of the show can telecast old clips of the actors without his/her permission or without compensating them for it, then the actors has no say in it. This duration can be for 2 years, 5 years or 10 years, depending upon the show and the actors popularity. As this is ITV, I assume it must be for a considerable amount of time.

Also, we can't take ITV show like Rishta as a separate season, similar to a Hollywood show. Even though it is Gen 4, it is still the same show running continuously without any break. If you see on Hotstar this is probably Season 67 or something, so there is no fixed season per se.

Mainly, it depends on the contract between the actor and PH. I am very sure PH and the channel have rights to use fbs of all actors from Gen 3 for the next few years.
