Actually. it depends on the contract of the actors. If the contract says that the PH and channel who own the IP of the show can telecast old clips of the actors without his/her permission or without compensating them for it, then the actors has no say in it. This duration can be for 2 years, 5 years or 10 years, depending upon the show and the actors popularity. As this is ITV, I assume it must be for a considerable amount of time.

Also, we can't take ITV show like Rishta as a separate season, similar to a Hollywood show. Even though it is Gen 4, it is still the same show running continuously. If you see on Hotstar this is probably Season 67 or something.

Mainly, it depends on the contract between the actor and PH. I am very sure PH and the channel have rights to use fbs of all actors from Gen 3 for the next few years.

yes it depends on contract. When gen 3 was signed it was mentioned that it was trilogy. You can find those interviews. Gen 4 was not on the card. So i doubt gen 3 cast would have signed such things. And the actor we are talking about takes longer time to take any script so he is not a person who would agree for such clauses.

@Bold: I highly doubt that. This is ITV where there are big big chances of going on a leap or leads getting replaced or sidelined due to low TRPs in. months. These are very common clauses. There is no way it was not in the actor's contract. It is possible that the actors were compensated when they were hired or let go, and the time that their fbs can be used will be for a short time after they have left, etc...which will also depend on the actors's popularity.

We have to understand that even if the actors are famous, the channel and PH in this case are huge too.

The clauses can be normal but channel modifies clauses based on actors. Like i heard colors has clauses that actors who work in that channel has to complete atleast 3 projects in colors before taking any show in next channel.

If i take example of shard malhotra. He did kasam,naagin and khatra khatra khatra and then he took muskaan in star bharath. Similarly other actors too have to work on 3 projects. But the clause was modified for bepannah cast.

So it depends on cast and actors. As if they need some one they had to give up on some clause if actors don't agree to it. Negotiations happens like what we can negotiate. Popular actors and actress can negotiate in their contracts is what i believe as they have options.

That's the thing I'm not getting especially as a mother that's when your

lioness spirit should kick in and you're more strong for your child to protect

from anything or anyone. This Sahiba is acting like Kajal on Gen 4
