Was Abhimanyu trying to defame Abhinav?

I don't want to go into who was at fault and what not because there are so many other threads going on but what was Abhimanyu trying to do?

1. He repeatedly said he will make this the best birthday ever for Abhinav. He in fact took the initiative to plan a surprise party for him when no one really asked him nor did he owe him any kind gestures.

2. When Abhir wanted to take his papa to the game room, Abhimanyu stopped him and took him instead. He was leading the surprise party so wouldn't he stayed back and helped instead of leaving himself? He would have been more of a help than Abhir.

3. Why did he want them to drink when Abhimanyu knew there was a party in the next two hours? Nav didn't know so he was okay with drinking but was worried about getting scolded from his wife at night. Abhimanyu himself decided not to drink but made it seem like he was drinking so Abhinav can continue to drink to a point where he would be drunk. They could have gotten drunk after the party no? Why didn't he take Kairav with him when Abhinav insisted?

Looking at everything, it looks like Abhmanyu wanted to bring Sharma jee back to the party drunk? He wanted to defame his image in front of everyone including Abhir?

Well if he wasn’t the ML of the show and didn’t have the impending reunion with the FL, then I would agree with you it’s a logical conclusion

But they will make it seem like he is doing all this to have a fresh start, redemption of sorts, maybe to make his son abhir happy or to show thankfulness to sharma ji

they will somehow nav due to his stupidity fell off the cliff cos they have to somehow keep abhiM innocent .

All the scenes you mentioned, is it build suspens for TRP audience. Even my mom was like , abhiM behaved suspicious today. See for the curiosity factor.

All of these points for sure raises a lot of doubts regarding AbhiM’s true intentions. But I’m sure makers are probably going to come up with the lamest excuses to prove him innocent at the end.

I’m upset thinking about how is Akshara to be expected to go back to the guy who will always be linked to her husband’s death, even if it was unintentional. He’ll be a walking talking reminder of this day for her 💔 it’s cruel tbh

True, there is no way they will show him responsible for his death or even somewhat had those intentions but after watching the episode it seemed like he was trying to defame rather kill him. I won't be surprised if Abhimnayu accepts that so that it seems a little realistic but again like you said that won't happen since reunion is on the cards.

Both Akshara and Abhir (if Abhir finds out). Extremely difficult.

No literally, poor guy had no intensions to drink by a cliff but will still be held solely responsible for his own death.

Abhi did drink but he had to drive back home so he was drinking under the limit, he wasn't drunk, everything else happened in front of people who would doubt Abhi and will act like witnesses against him

He can say that in his defense that he had to drive back but how will he defend himself in getting Abhinav drunk when the party was in two hours?
