Who is writing for Abhinav and why Abhimanyu is not written more maturely? It looks like he is the new villan in the show. I stopped watching after the leap as I couldn't stomach the crude way he gave divorce to Akshara and abandoned her. I thought they'd get back together just like Kaira. But for me abhira was finished that day. My colleague was going mad over this Abhinav in yeh rishta. So I had to know what's going on as I thought Abhinav is the alt character of abhimanyu. I was really surprised to know Jay Soni is Abhinav. I saw him in Kuch rang last time. I went through the post leap epis this weekend and I can't believe his character is written so well. They are writing his character with so much maturity and sensitivity. Him fighting with his insecurities was done so well. I wanna know what happened to Abhimanyu? He is the worst form of a manchild right now. I saw how Abhinav was against the case and wanted to tell everything to Abhir. He went against Manish Goenka for his son. This should have been Abhimanyu's stand. He is the biological father of Abhir and he should have gone against everyone when he himself was against the case at the first place. Taking a child from his mother in the name of custody is not shown as a good thing in itv unless the mother is a vamp. Manjiri has crossed every limit of stupidity. But HE is the lead. His mother says something and he just acts. Not thinking about the consequences. They have made the child a toy. No one is thinking how he'll live without his mother? He is a kid for god's sake. What is Abhi thinking? He can't even show someone empathy without being dragged by his mother. Like why? No wonder my colleague likes Abhinav so much and thinks he is the lead. She is an ardent fan of Akshara and Abhinav as a couple (what's their couple name?). To be honest HC deserves a better character. I cannot feel Abhimanyu's DDP at all. If the leap was to degrade Abhimanyu then it is complete now. I just never thought he'd be worse than Anurag Basu.

We'll, this thread has about six pages discuss ekta's show, so just keep it in check.

Abhi show writers ek doosre se copy karenge toh aapki galti nahi hai😅 so yeah, don't go for pages talking about some other character while losing context of this forum, the show and it's characters

Kartik was not butchered like this(kaira time). His marriage to Vedika was mostly Mimis doing. He was at least guilty and repented for his action for so many years. But here, I don't think writers are doing any justice to the characters. I want to sympathize with Abhi but he has absolutely no idea where he went wrong. He just apologized for the Sirat thing. I was like.. what??😳 Then he asked Akshara why she didn't message him about Abhir and I really laughed. This was the Abhimanyu pre leap that I had prob with. He was impulsive, has volcanic anger and didn't know how to restrain it. Akshara paid for this. Akshara was stupid too. But Abhimanyu's action was borderline DV. So I can't feel for him.

About Akshara and Abhinav, imo Akshara got better. I like Abhinav for now. I like Abhinav's bond with Abhir so much. I have no idea how they'd take it to abhira way(if they do). Kasuali time was simple and fresh. Akshnav as a couple are my kind of ideal couple.

But the comparison fits imo. Parth is abusive physically while Abhi was not. That doesn't justifies his action on the divorce day. Also the writers gave one of the idiotic itv verdict for custody. The divorce that didn't go to court is validated but custody goes to father just because he is rich? I can't 🤣

Harshad is fantastic actor stuck in crap show, and same goes for Jay Soni (he wasn't in Kuch Rang as far as I know). His character has dealt with all issues so maturely that one would fail to see shades that real Male Lead must have - toxic shades. Hence, we always try to see if this one-dimensional character could get some shades of grey, green, blue and Yellow. But let's see what makers have in their mind.

@bold : Jay Soni played the character of the Bengali doctor guy Sonakshi was engaged to in first season.
