So...I was an avid watcher of Ghum before the ML became unbearable. They've brought in a new PL now and I really want to new PL to be endgame with the FL.

But in YRKKH, I really want AbhiRa to be endgame. Does it make me a hypocrite?

I don't know why Abhinav is hailed as a hero of some sort and people think that in retaliation, Abhi needs to bring up Abhinav-Akshara's kid to show he is a good man? Really? While I agree with the supporting a pregnant woman bit - Abhi did not know Akshu was still pregnant when she left. Does it make up for his actions of the white day? Nope. But Abhinav helped a pregnant woman who he came to have a "relationship" with. Abhimanyu will have to bring up a kid of the woman he loved/loves since forever.

Abhi has done a lot of mistakes, but people seem to be forgetting that he has actually helped Akshu a lot too. The first time she ever stood up for herself was because of him, he tried to give her a musical therapy department, wanted to put her life over that of his kids, tried to get her music career going at home itself, his love actually made her open her mouth against Arohi herself. He degraded himself in front of Arohi to protect Akshu's emotions. None of that is toxic. He was wrong on the day of the death - but grief is a f*cked up emotion. Losing your kids, and a brother who you considered your child is not an easy thing. Especially for someone who comes from a broken family in the first place. Top it off with a wailing mother who spews nonsense, he made mistakes - he's been suffering to six years.

I don't understand why people think that Abhinav has been the only supportive force for Akshara so far. Abhi has done a lot for Akshu and people are quick to forget all his good deeds because of his mistakes.

People have to notice that he is trying to make up for his mistakes. After being rebuffed by Akshu, he's not gone back to beg for her love. For him, she has moved on, has had a kid with someone else, and the only thing he can do is salvage the only relationship that brings him any joy as of now - Ruhi.

Akshu, on the other hand, is an enigma packed inside 200 kg of kohl. With the whole mera pati and MS/sindoor sh*t, they've completely ruined her entire make-up. Couldn't she have brought up her son alone? A son whose identity she has still hidden from the actual father - a father who has mourned the loss of his two children for six years.

Bade Papa and Abhi gave her the option of living in a nuclear family. Abhi was quite adamant about it, Akshu was the one who wanted to become a bahu yada yada yada.

I don't know how one mistake makes AbhiRa toxic and Abhinav becomes the God.

As for who wants him. It depends on when the viewers started watching.

Most legacy viewers, i.e, me, want him gone yesterday. YRKKH is never big on EMAs/third angles so I'm guessing the writers have changed. The day Akshu moves on with Abhinav emotionally - the show will lose a lot of viewers who watch it for the main couple. This show is not like Ghum or Bhagyas. At least it'll lose me and the five-ten nurses who work with me and watch it during their night duty. 🤣

While JS has an acha aadmi character, his glorification just means that the actual leads get to act a more versatile role. We can roll our eyes and wait for his mandir to be made and Abhinav-Akshara to sleep together, so that the story can just move forward.

Yes i completely agree abhi has supported akshu in every walk of her life. Yes there was mistakes in the past but it was from both the end. Akshu tried protecting arohi. Abhi has insecurities that akshu loves her family more than him.

Post which everything was sorted and since paras decided to leave they thought of bringing one more leap and for leap to happen every show ruins mls character. So i did not even watched that epi. But abhi is been repenting over his mistakes . He never moved on his life. Takes anxiety pills. His only dose of living is roohi.

But akshu even though she claimed she loves abhi and abhi betrayed her or did not respected her for her it was very easy to move on and marry abhinav within six months of seperation is too hard to believe.

Yes a girl can marry if she likes some one and if she thinks he is the one for her. But here she just married him for name sake. She neither had any feelings for him nor tried moving on from past 6 years. So definitely it would look like she used him for 6 years.

As soon as she realized abhi is moving on with arohi because of her so called marriage she decided to give a chance to abhinav. She even said no to abhi that day as she knows that will break arohi and Manjari’s heart. Whatever she said is not wrong yes he was wrong throwing her out. But her pati jaap did not made any sense. Akshu did the same mistake which she did 6 years before that is apne pyar ko thaali main sajake behan ko de dena.

Akshu should have been single mom than marrying nav as atleast i would not have considered her as the person who took advantage of nav. And nav is not her friend or family he was a stranger. She dont have any rights to put herlife and her kids life at risk.

If abhi was wrong she did wrong too by trusting some strangers. For her kids safety she should have kept her sorrows aside took help from kairav. Was kairav was paraya for her that she could not even ask him to help her with settling in kasauli but rather she trusted complete stranger.

No matter how much goenkas are ignorant atleast kairav helped abhira in one or the other way. Her grief was so big that she did not even though about her unborn child.

I'm not going to defend Abhi or Akshu because people have already made up their minds about them. People who consider AbhiRa toxic or Abhi toxic will continue to do so. People who love Abhinav will continue to do so.

I only commented because calling Abhi toxic despite of the way his character was in the beginning is wrong. People dislike the way he "manipulated" Akshara to confess her feelings. The truth was that nothing short of a suicide threat could have jolted Akshu out of her sacrificial mode. And the moment he knew the truth about the fire incident - he acted upon it. The moment he realised Kairav's truth - he brought out the truth in front of the media. Currently he has realised his mistakes of the white day - he's trying to do better with what he has. I can never defend his actions but he's now concentrating on the other women in the house. That is Ruhi/Arohi/Shefali. Realising and correcting your mistakes is human.

As for Akshara - I only dislike her for hiding Abhir's truth from Abhi. Abhi should not be mourning the death of his children when one is alive. As a father, it is wrong. He may have wronged Akshara once, but he loved the kids just as much as she did. Akshara does not get to decide everything for Abhir all alone. No matter what Abhi's faults. The rest - who she trusted, why she did so - makes little sense on paper. It was just to bring in Abhinav as a saviour.

On the same channel we have another FL who was a single mother and brought up the cutest bean all alone. Only now does she get a new ML - she doesn't need no man. Can't believe this but Ganja is doing a better job of third angles than Rishta. And their ML is far too gone so most audience wanted a new ML/PL. Here toh the PL is a gift no regular fan of the show asked for. Divorce and PL same day without any rhyme or reason. No TRP aunty or online audience even wanted a new lead. We just wanted Abhi's redemption and a strong Akshu. Look at the online love for SaiYa and compare it to Abhinav-Akshara. Even the makers will have to laugh. 😆

Very sensible post. I am not the OG viewer, I might've been 10 or so when ye rishta started and I remember it used to play on the tv. My mother used to love this show and now when I tell het about it, she doesn't believe its the same show because of the way they butchered the characters.

Now what I believe is, people started watching this show for two reasons (HC and/or Ye rishta legacy) and I can be wrong. I started watching it for HC and I still watch it for him. People didn't know how the leads would develop or so but Abhira did make a name. I wouldn't say I religiously watched this show because there were some tracks that were boring and I would stop/keep up with the promos and then come back.

Coming to the current track, I know a lot of people are complaining because its taking longer than usual for the leads to reunite but what will cvs do after reuniting them? The show will solely not run on two good looking people romancing and that's exactly why shows don't run on goody good romance but problems and issues because that's what the audience wants. Right now there is so much to be shown such as both the leads realizing their mistakes including everyone else realizing their mistakes. Abhir's truth, and then Abhi making his place in Abhir's life as a father. He loves him as docman but accepting him as his father will be completely different and will rely on Abhinav's exit.

Coming to Abhinav. I think people wanted a toxic abusive drunk Abhinav who would have been abusing Akshara and Abhimanyu to come to her rescue but it didn't go that way. He's an amazing man yet people have a problem with him? So good men in ITV are not normal yet we crave them in real life? Why is it so hard for us to accept that people move on? What's the problem with Akshara moving on, Abhinav dying/leaving, and Abhira uniting again. Akshara can't reunite with Abhimanyu after moving on? Will she no longer be good for him? Abhinav saved a stranger, took care of her during her vulnerable time, took care of her child like his own, and never expected anything in return but if Akshara does something for him its cringe? People question the actor's acting just because they don't like the character? I think some fans don't realize how far they can go but I don't blame them because I remember people had issues with the age difference between Abhira for the longest time and I used to be like why don't I see it lol.

I don’t watch ghum actively but from whatever I’ve seen long time back I was repulsed so I stopped watching…I’ve not caught it again but read the news…really like harshad Arora n his acting so I’m not surprised if he is being lapped up…he is quite good

I think some fans don't realize how far they can go but I don't blame them because I remember people had issues with the age difference between Abhira for the longest time and I used to be like why don't I see it lol.
