I'm a Pakistani, but I can agree with you there. I rarely watch Pakistani love stories. Mostly, I watch light-hearted comedy or something with a deep message. It's best if they can combine the two though.

Some TV shows I genuinely liked:

Ghisi Pitti Mohabbat

Ishq Jalebi

Ehf-e-Wafa

Sinf-e-Aahan

Parizad

Pyar k Sadqay

Hum Tum (had plenty of plotholes though)

Sang-e-Mah (a bit slow-paced)

Raqeeb Say (again, slow-paced)

Hum Kaha k Suchay Thay (also a bit slow-paced)

Currently watching:

Tere Bin [I do not condone that slap. It was totally unnecessary and out of character for Murtasim. It pretty much ruined the essence of Murtasim's character for me. The only reason I would be okay with this marriage now would be if Meerub's motivation was revenge. I was a little disappointed in Amna (Something Haute) for being okay with that slap.]

Mujhay Pyar Hua Tha

Kuch Ankahi

The ones I haven't yet watched, but plan on watching:

Dil Na-omeed Toh Nhi

Ek Thi Laila

Alif

I concede defeat with you guys that pak dramas can’t do true Justice to the romantic genre, there is so much constraints with the censorship rules pity all that potential wasted.

I am watching the same ones you are watching. I don’t think amna condoned the slap, didn’t they keep pressing on it for a whole review to the point of it being annoying. But we all have no option but to let it go if we want to continue to enjoy the show. It is out there what can we do, god I hope Wahaj yumna said noooooooooo.

I definitely have to watch Alif snd parizad

No, she didn't condone it, but initially, she was willing to let it slide. That was before the entire context of the slap was revealed. But still, a slap is not something we can let slide. So she did speak up against it the next episode after all the comments. Hassan was always against it. One can easily see how swooned she is by Murtasim. I don't blame her. I am too.

same feelings bro… but there are some people who just want them to reunite just for the heck of it and they ship this toxic couple. Let’s just give it to them and khatam karo
