I feel Harsh is a man who doesn't respect anyone. Though he is the younger brother but it looks like he is the 'head of the family' and not Anand. I remember when season 3 started Harsh used to show his superiority in front of Anand and Mahima a lot. He also used to mock Mahima for not getting valued by her husband. He needs Abhimanyu to run his hospital. Abhimanyu is one of the top surgeons of the hospital but not once did he respect Abhimanyu even as a doctor. This man actually has no respect for anyone in his family, not just Manjari. He takes everyone for granted and uses his brother, bhabhi, son for his own selfish professional gains. His behavior with Manjari is worst because he is not getting any professional gains from her.

Simple! Akshu will teach him to value relationships and stop using his relationships for business purpose. I don't know why they're showing Birlas as a doctor family. They're more like business family. They run the hospital for earning money and profits not to save lives or cure people. Harsh is a pakka businessman. He can even sell his own son for profits to the hospital. Anand and Mahima too are more concerned of their power and authority in the hospital. Only Abhimanyu is not greedy for power and money.

Manjari was financially dependent on harsh and harsh used to hit her.. if she would have speaken at that, time situation would get heated for once but i am sure harsh would have not have this level of audicity ..it's a pity mahima didnt take stand for manjari at that time..in such situations it's best to inform your parents or brother / sister that domestic violence is happening with you..

What's not tolerable is how manjari is not standing up against harsh now...i mean come on she is not that dumb.. she is a smart women who gave upbringing to smart surgeon son who adores her and she has his full support. She is not even financially dependent on harsh...that should bring confidence in her( not saying women should be confident only when their son become capable, abuse should never be tolerated at any costs) ... I mean to say earlier it was understand due to manjari's conditioning to not speak up against harsh but not she really needs to speak up. ..she shouldn't allow you are bad biwi taunts and tell him if u have so much issues let's get divorced.. if harsh is happy with that decision she should go forward...i know that would break the family, hence manjari doesn't want to do that and it's understandable but she should atleast threaten him.. as harsh is scared of losing his son.. and domestic violence shouldn't be tolerated at any costs

And let's not even talk about akshara.. there is very much difference in the time manjari comes from and akshara's.. Akshara is today's girl and if she doesn't take stand for herself in sasural then I wouldn't sympathize with her like I do with manjari.. plus akshara gets support from abhimanyu... So if she puts up with harsh and senior birlas insult and taunts am done with her...she really doesn't need to do and she is not that bechari .. she has all kind of support and she is well educated to stand for herself.. she has her music therapy job too.. it's not like she is sitting idle and not doing anything..

Akshara and aarohi situation was totally different. Like you said in that situation being mahaan is the problem.. more than Aarohi's immaturity for treating her sister like that, i would blame akshara for not standing against a bully...

Well said Born. Like I said there are are multiple ways of seeing things and when I read your perspective it totally makes sense.

I think being financially independent is very important for standing up for yourself. If not that atleast your family support. But if both doesn't come then unfortunately girl has to face a lot.

Sometimes one is so in love with a person that they can’t let go of them even when they are certified emotional (and most likely physical) abusers. Hard to explain why but it does happen. - For Manjari

Being a doctor means cannot take care of home and family duties is completely and 100% false. Speaking from personal experience, it is very much doable and is a reality for many of us. Does that mean everyone does it? No! Mahima is an example who doesn’t. Again it is all about intention. Where there is a will there is a way!
