Well you do have indepth knowledge or how a story should move forward. For me everything is at face value. I never went into deep tissue analysis. Call me a trp phank, it is okay. I need a proper narrative. For example Imlie, the back ground story revolves around naxal effected areas but the main theme is step sisters falling in love with the same man. Though Imliya has moved on and the sub tracks are toxic in nature, still 4 lions has done a fabulous job in comparison to DKP.
For me Akshu's vocal chord operation was a nightmare. I ended up watching two and half men for detox.
Somehow I feel Harshad is not able to salvage the poor writing. He did in Bepannaah along with Jennifer. Here he too is faltering. The same goes for Pranali. She was mind blowing as Saudamini
I hope season 2 writers give a good narrative for some of shelf life.
It is a matter of prestige as the previous generations ran for a long time.
Can you share details of the hospital scene in Ek's show? which one has a better screen play
I am not asking ITV to suddenly be solely logical. But even in that narrative that you are currently enjoying the writing has to be somewhat acceptable and matches with the characters to create the cohesion in the story they are trying to portray. You have two leads who have an age gap but are people complaining about that? Or they focusing on the story and chemistry of the leads?
For instance if all the hospital scenes in YRKKH were just them sitting across a desk or in the patient room doing some checkups I would be fine with that. Its the surgery specific episodes (Akshara, Manish, Manjari) that irk me. Cause you need to display some sort of knowledge. If you don't know then don't film it. Manjari surgery was actually okay. It was over acting outside of the surgery that was horrible. HC usually excels in emotional scenes especially when it comes to mothers. But the repeating line "I am an useless son." I just felt you can protray that feeling differently with some nuance and set up the scene differently to make it more impactful. I blame dialogue writers and director.
I don't really watch Yeh Hai Chahatein so I cannot say if the show is actually any good. This happened a bit back after Akshara's surgery episode that some of us on the forum like to refer to as the buttering surgery 😆 But I happened to see a scene where the male had just rescued his daughter and is being transported to the hospital. He gets rushed to the emergency room. He flatlines and you see the doctor tell the nurse with paddles in hand to charge the defibrillator and he uses to get him back. Now, I understand for drama purposes writers were going with the Abhi tells her to breathe and she comes back. And also probably due to censors and what not the crew could not show the defibrillator being used on the FL due to the paddles having to be placed on the FL's chest and I guess filming that up closed maybe considered lewd for the time slot? (I don't know just making an assumption here). Point is for a show that has nothing to do with medical drama could show a scene like that, that makes sense while you have a show where several characters are doctors and run a hospital have nonsense medicial scenes? Comes down to writing and direction.
