Also the problem with some of the users on this forum is that they have double standards with regards to Aarohi and Abhimanyu..they call Aarohi very bad names but cannot hear anything mild even against Abhimanyu for his similar mistakes. Those who find Aarohi an interesting character and want to see how she is developed have just that in mind, we don't "support" whatever wrong she does, we don't like it and don't want her to do so.. what is problematic is that people think that those who understand Aarohi's nature and can see what her motivations are, are seen as people who don't value morals and ethics. This discussion has just gone around in circles since the beginning.. it's pointless I guess.. I just want to say that those who don't like Aarohi should refrain from using bad language against her.

See my point is not about appreciating or criticizing any character or actor. Its fine till the point the argument sounds healthy and upto a limit.

I have seen many many posts where it feels like people are mocking each other for their choices. That is wrong.

Everyone has different opinions and different ways to look at things.

And you not that actor or character to get all defensive if someone is using any kind of tone for them.

If someone is using bad language as you said which is unparliamentary, not suitable as per you to be on the forum then report it.

I love abhimanyu as a character but if someone doesn't like him, cool coz he is impulsive and all or none kind of a guy and not all people would like someone like him. So peeps stop asking people to not post here if they want to give valid viewpoint. And mostly i have seen people who have been here since beginning of season 3 and few trolls might be here, but lets not club people into arohi supporters are all abhimanyu haters.

Abhimanyu as a lover ok.. because, the passion and intense he has for his love is what every girl craves for.. if it goes beyond the line and turns into madness, just like how he behaved with Akshara even being engaged to her sister is not acceptable.

Abhimanyu as a husband is not at all ok.. because when you marry someone, you should be able to respect and balance all your relationships on both sides.. arrogance doesn’t work within in the family. If I’m in Akshara’s place I’ll never marry someone who behaves rudely with my sister or any other family member. Even if someone is wrong you cannot openly rebuke and shout at them, there are many other ways to solve it

Being a middle aged woman who experienced love and happily married now feels this way. I may be wrong in others pov.

😆
True that. Real life is not as filmy as reel life.

But I also feel that irl there are some really nice guys who may not be angst-y, obsessive, impulsive like Abhimanyu but more mature, calm and sensible . This angst-y love doesnt last coz it’s cute and all when shown in tv or read in novels but irl it’ll lead to endless arguments 😅

Probably that’s why Akshara and Naitik were such a hit. Their simplicity of love and life resonated with many couples. That’s why they felt real- their arguments, makeup, dilemmas, responsibilities and between all that their love - they stood with each other through thick and thin.
Guys like Naitik (and Mohit) may not fit the criteria of hot/angry ML but that’s what made them special - they were realistic (and I don’t mean “perfect”)

Agreed. I haven't come across "angsty" men as such and their love stories must def be problematic . In tv shows audience loves such characters coz they love the transformation ...from.angsty hero to love sick puppy 😆.everyone likes to see a passionate and intense man who is an achiever , who holds an opinion and doesn't act dumb around his family. But they look good only on screen coz in every story, end mei sab acha ho jaata hai... in reality it's tough to deal with extreme emotions.

Imo kartik wasn't bad either (naitik , mohit and naksh were a league apart) but he lost his senses around his family. He was a good lover but a poor husband . He couldn't balance his family life. Abhimanyu may face the same issues coz he acts and then think or doesn't think at all.... Plus he needs his mom and akshu as the guiding light . Wait until they marry, abhimanyu will go kartik way..bec separation and Milan is the only way dkp knows to drag yrkkh and separation means butchering both the leads.

I do love Abhi because he owns his flaws. He doesn’t pretend to be perfect unlike some other characters...

He won’t even let a fly harm Akshara because that’s how protective he is of her and this is because he loves her so greatly that he cannot bear to see her in pain. However, this very quality is also his downfall because it can quickly spiral into a nasty obsessive trait which is never good.

But I enjoy watching problematic characters (Abhi is problematic believe it or not) and how he alters himself to become the better version of himself is what I want to witness. That’s character growth for me and it is much better than watching perfect pious and pure characters which is not realistic.

Those who are saying they don’t like Abhimanyu Birla, are you kidding me? How can any girl not love Abhimanyu Birla!!!! His Attitude, his credentials, his personality, and his courage 😍 he is an ideal man at-least for me. My friends n I crave for such a guy in our lives who can do anything and go to any extent for his loved ones. Who encourages his loved ones to take stand for themselves and choose their happiness. Who encourages his girl in her career and goes against everyone to support her when anyone points finger at her including his own dad or mom. Who gives the girl utmost special place in his life like only she can call him Abhi, only she can sit on his bike, only she can touch his hair etc! Hayeee😍 he is soo pure, he loves so purely!! His love doesn’t have any boundaries, conditions or limitations. Either he is all in or all out and when he is all in he doesn’t back out at any cost. He feels the pain when his girl gets hurt, he will be sad when she is sad, he is happy when she is happy! His world revolves around his girl. May the ones who wish for a lover like Abhimanyu get a lover like him.

Naitik was very well written but even he had issues. He did not even let Akshara enjoy her own wedding functions because he was insecure of his cousin and did not once try to listen to aksharas side of the story.

Otherwise their love story was very realistic and I loved the supporting cast too.

And I don’t necessarily think that having obsessive or problematic male leads is an issue as long as it is dealt with appropriately. This is because there are people out there who are different because they have certain tendencies or behaviour that is not deemed as normal and it’s not always their fault because half the time, those people are struggling from past trauma. And I think this needs to be addressed.

I agree with everything but this..I myself enjoy such characters.. normally that is..I don't find abhimanyu problematic compared to other heros who I liked in the past..but we need to set the accountability too..these r grown up adults (in abhimanyu and aru's case , they r professionals) , mature enuf to understand trauma and how to heal themselves ...

Ok if anyone says it's not easy to heal the past trauma , for how long can they continue shitting around ? coz by this logic even aru is a victim... If they can't get over their past trauma , they must not be allowed to marry or love coz they will spill their trauma to their spouse . Life is full of trauma for those who see trauma as a trauma . It can also be an opportunity to grow and learn something..in abhimanyus case, how NOT to imitate harsh. In akshus case , learn to see the reality ..in aru's case , stop holding others responsible for your half grown brain. Ppl go through far worse situations than these privileged kids.

If they wanna give a msg through the trauma (be it aaru or abhi or akshu) , it'd rather be this ..than justifying idiocy bec their past was traumatic.
