I want to see abhi turn his flaws into dust and thats a good message imo

My point exactly . If they wanna send a msg , it should be this .

I do understand where abhimanyu comes from. A lot of his frustration stems from the fact that he is helpless in protecting his mom coz his mom continues to take abuse and still respect harsh. N with aru his instincts r correct mostly . If I were abhimanyu I won't trust aru either . N akshu is equally responsible for messing up the equation bad so she should not be complaining , nor act blind when it comes to aru. Frankly I don't see trauma anywhere in their lives 😳 Everyone nowdays get angry doesn't mean it's ok..it means as a society we r doing wrong.

As for professionals , I believe they are more responsible towards their patients hence try to control their reactions . Compared to all other professions , they can't allow themselves to be carried away like this everytime..like how abhimanyu turns aggressive and how aru thinks it's fine to compromise her morals and ethics. Akshu's trauma won't affect anyone other than her family but abhimanyu and aru will.

But I am regretting this badly since this space hasn't changed at all and doesn't allow dissent.

Not liking Abhimanyu is a crime apparently. Shouldn't have answered the title which posed a question "Who doesn't like Abhimanyu Birla". Only realizing it is apparently a statement that can't be countered.

Bye, Take care!

PS: I just hope people stop posting stuff saying all opinions are welcome, when it's clearly not.

You should come back. I agree all opinions are not welcome here but that's ok. We all are different people here and think differently and we cannot change others too. At the end of the day they all are fictional characters. If you watch the serial for any characters you still love you can appreciate them and create your own space. I used to like your posts even though we both were at opposite ends. Now we have lot of people who are neutral here too but I leave it upto you. But lot of people here miss you guys.

Your right life is not lala like this serials. It's very different.. Yes 5% are lucky to meet Abhimanyu and happy in this world but keep expectations low. But no one is perfect too and who doesn't get angry these days ..yeh rishta forum is perfect example for that .. Every thread someone is upset either for Abhimanyu, Akshara or Aarohi bashing 😂😂😂 no one wants to understand that people can like all three too or hate all three too and just love Neil and Harnish .. But unfortunately Aarohi lovers are considered Abhira haters and vice versa..

welcome back nisha ..I missed seeing you over here..I dm u few days back bt I think because of network problem u didn’t get it..

And about the trauma part - what Charu said.

👏
very well written.
And who in this current new gen doesn’t have a traumatic past?

Vansh was born out of wedlock where his father died when he was still in his mom’s womb. To save face she married a man who illtreated Vansh - subjecting him to emotional abuse and making him feel worthless since he was a small child. Then his “father” abandoned him and his mother had a mental breakdown. He was always compared with and made to feel less than Kairav by our very own Mimi (KDadi) and Manish.

Kairav lived 5 years of his life thinking he had no father, no family. He had heart surgery. His mother accused him of endangering Vansh’s life leading him to have severe stress and anxiety that he had to seek medical help at the tender age of 7-8years. He was kidnapped. He saw his mother die infront of his eyes. He saw his Sirat maa die, he saw his dad die.

I don’t see Vansh or Kairav acting like problematic adults with no accountability and being painted as “swoon worthy good guy.”

@Bold I dont think it is fair to imply that Abhi should not have issues just because Kairav and Vansh do not. Simply because everyone is different, people have different coping mechanisms and in this case, the writers are not interested in the latter two for us to see how they were affected.

This is the problem with most people, if they see someone is behaving different to them then that person is deemed abnormal which is why most people will not open up as they will be scared of the judgments.

Also, someones past does not justify any wrong actions, the trauma is simply there as an explanation. I don't want to watch Abhi's shortcomings to be glorified or glossed over. I want him to improve and thats the right message because people can have issues but it's how you overcome those issues, is what matters. You can either blame everyhing on your past like Arohi or own up to your flaws and seek help to better yourself (which I hope Abhi does). Frankly speaking, I'd love to watch such a character arch.

I think I understand why Abhi is the way he is because parental dispute is not a very nice experience for a child. Your childhood is what shapes you and if you've only seen quarrels or bitter emotions then most likely, these bad experiences will affect your social, behavioural and emotional development at risk. Espeically if your parents are doing this because theyre supposed to be your guide. This is also a major reason why most people tend to avoid adopting older children because they know those children will come with an emotional and mental baggage. Not everyone is the same so not everyone will be affected the same way.

See i have mixed feelings with that. On one hand, I do agree that health professionals have a duty to their patients so your point makes sense. On the other hand, I personally do not think one can control their mental health so easily. Most of the times doctors in particular are afraid of seeking help because of fear of losing their license but I think that is harsh. Doctors are not magical people, they are humans too so I feel it is unfair to expect them to be "responsible" all the time. That's pressure which can easily hinder their mental health even further.

My problem is , is this really a mental health issue or not ? Coz all of them are selectively crazy a diff times. Akshu isn't getting panic attacks anymore ?😕 abhimanyu is fine with everyone excluding harsh , as long as he gets what he wants ... Aru confuses me . I don't wanna attribute her actions to her past. She has been using it as a shield to bully akshu n cover up all her weaknesses coz she has the best excuse..akshu is responsible for everything . However , abhimanyu and aru managed to be successful professionaly . So def they r capable in some way. They also have a fairly good family life .

If abhimanyu us scarred in real sense , he might get the same traits as harsh n hurt akshu the same way sub consciously .. I guess that's what witnessing lifelong abuse does to a child . I am not a psychological master so if somebody can help me I will be grateful..... A child sub consciously picks up the same behavior and imitates iit.but then it should be with everyone right? And then. Where and when does the healing start ?

I think it's a matter of lazy writing. For example, they had Akshara playfully teasing Arohi moments after she had had a dream of Abhi. It was the most out of character moment for me in the entire season so far. So the writers are not focusing on consistency and I dont blame them simply because Indian shows rely on trps and runs everyday so I dont think they would have time to reflect and polish their script as opposed to a season based show.

I'm no expert either but my sister is in this field (she is an assistant to psychologist right now) and she does deal with patients who have been affected due to parental conflicts and imitation is not the only affect. Sometimes parental dispute will have the opposite affect of imitation and thus leading to poor social skills and repression (such as, low confidence, inability to make friends/get employed, relationship issues etc). This is mostly because they are so traumatised by the arguments between parents that they become fearful of having any sort of conflict whatsoever which makes them prone to shutting people off in order to avoid conflict. They may even start to allow others taking advantage of them just because they want to avoid conflict.

Everyone has different coping strategies to stress and some people are like Abhi who become an adult at a young age because they feel the need to help their parent (in his case its manjri) and this explains why he is bitter towards harsh because I feel he blames him for stealing a major part of his childhood which should have been happy rather rather stressful. And I also feel he has emulated his father in some ways. Harsh was shown to be putting Manjri down and bypassing her opinions. Though Abhi respects Akshara (because he does not want to repeat history), he could not accept that she would refuse him and this is something I feel he has copied from his father as harsh probably would not take manjri's decisions seriously either. Of course we knew Akshara was lying but nonetheless, it was wrong of Abhi to force her to accept. Any other person would have been hurt but they would have ignored Akshara after the rejection as it's her choice but Abhi let anger take over and pressurised her to admit her feelings and even mandhandled her (That track was indeed good because not one person was right, every single character had good defences). This stubbornness stems from harsh I feel (both genes wise ad from what he witnessed as a child).

Bohot lamba ho gaya. I shall stop.
