Yaar these people don't write logically so how can we look for reason and logic in their crazy stories? Akshu and aarohi's bad blood is supposedly based on a single childhood traumatic event.. But then why was it not properly addressed and resolved by a family like the Goenkas who are rich, educated and liberal-minded? It's all very unlikely and stupid.

Let's see - the Goenkas were so toxic Kartik left home due to his childhood issues and pretended to be an orphan, they were oblivious to the sustained childhood molestation carried out by a family member (Mansi/Puru Mama), drug use and general aiyaashi by another family member (Shubham), Dadi took a wrecking hammer to Kaira by bringing in regressive rubbish like calling Kartik Joru ka gulaam, questioning Naira's obvious chastity, making Kartik insecure about Naira's career and many more such kaand. The Goenkas pressured and blackmailed Kartik into a second marriage with a woman he didn't love when he was still devastated over Naira, none of them bothered to see the grief behind the gritted teeth smile (Akshara, is JUST like her daddyji no?). So their behavior with Akshara/Arohi is par for the course.

Did Abhimanyu have a traumatic childhood or not? From what they have shown so far, not really. But they have yet to disclose the entire story. Given the track record of this show its going to be a very silly and unlikely reason. Like they showed for Kartik, his being estranged for so many years and him and his sister being kept in the dark over their mother's mental illness.. I don't know how real that was.. 🙄 But that wasn't questioned so much bcz he didn't have any behavioral issues due to it except his staying away from his parents and home and the family business. Here they are having Abhimanyu behave in all kinds of undesirable ways bcz of his childhood issues. But they won't be showing any really terrible stuff in a show of this sort as the cause for it.

I think they've made a pretty good case for Abhimanyu having witnessed his father abuse his mother - and probably other things as well. Harsh doesn't hesitate to raise his hand to Manjari in front of everyone so he almost certainly was beating on her in private. My feelings on how Abhimanyu has been portrayed are clear to the world and I don't care for his INTOXICATING behavior at all. But in real life, children and especially sons who act like shields for their mothers against their fathers end up being very emotionally repressed and with anger/control issues.

So what is required here is suspension of disbelief 😛😁

Exactly! Forget suspension - what's required is for us to take our logical brain out back, make it kneel in the dirt and then shoot it in the back of its head😆

and karthiks reason for hating his father ..was alot more significant and maybe even greater…karthik lost his mom and his father married his secretary soon after…Now that is suspicious enough for even us to say…did the father mourn the loss of his wife or was he already having an affair with his secretary? But Abhimanyu still lives with his mother and father who are still married and living together as a couple ..we’ve seen them sleep in the same bed,..they eat together as a family and do everything else as a family.. I don’t think they can come up with any reason to justify abhimanyus hatred for his father for us viewers... because even children with divorced parents still have normal relationships with their mother and father even though the parents may not even speak to each other ..

Akshara is shown sensitive one from childhood.

She got to know about sirat was her stepmother from random call. How a 11 yr child react to this even kartik is not present there.

Arohi was ok with ak before truth but when she found out ak her step sister she started demean her. she thinks her mother love ak more than her. Whenever ak taking care of sirat Arohi thinks ak try to impress sirat becoz she is not her real mother.

When sirat died ar jealousy turn into haterd. As ak is sensitive and emotional one I think she can't handle that situation like Arohi and having panic attack.

His behaviour is very ugly at times..he thinks he’s always right and the only thing that matters to him is akshara ..so the only reason he shows any sort of cordial behavior to the goenkas is because they are his path to getting akshara..That’s how it appears.. because he gets angry and irritated so Easily..he has like so limited control over his emotions 🤦🏻‍♀️

That's exactly why I find abhimanyu appealing..he is ugly, rude , disrespectful to people who deserve just that. If he is respectful to people who bully him , use him, don't love him, like akshu, I wouldn't move from epi 1 to 2.

Idk I couldn't feel most of these tracks they brought in to create drama fit into the kind of family they otherwise portrayed the Goenkas as..Even now with Akshu and Aarohi.. And like you mentioned somewhere, whatever negative things they they get their characters to do, they still maintain some humanness that makes them relatable. So I guess we continue to see and get invested and spend time analyzing.

With Abhimanyu from what's been shown so far, I don't know if Harsh would've really done any extreme things with his mother. Or maybe we're sposed to read between the lines and understand that he did. Whatever. But what you say about real life kids witnessing abuse and all that, yes. True. Question is how far this applies to Abhi.

I don't know why I often see this that aarohi is a hardworking doctor and akshara does nothing more than roam around with her guitar. She must do something in her life. Saying this aren't people following the 90% crowd that goes around wishing their son / daughter to be a doctor or software engineering. Isn't what akshu doing also a profession. She is a therapist and specializes in music therapy.

Next becoming a singer and playing instruments is no child's play. The hardwork, dedication, practice behind it isn't a simple one. You train yourself since young. I have seen people who sing how much they sacrifice over things and maintain themselves like no touching cold water and ice cream. I have personally wanted to learn music and did it for 4 long years and realised that is not my cup of tea and left it but I have friends who did the best in it and their hardwork and dedication is another level. Those strings in guitar you need to take good care of those fingers of yours or you might get hurt easily.

Their is no good sister and bad sister that are portrayed here. Both aarohi and akshara had done their fair share of mistakes and been the good sister and bad sister for each other.

If ak running away with abhi is wrong then aarohi doing fraud playing with people's emotions at their vulnerable point is wrong.

A trauma doesn't need to be death. If they are subjecting abhi trauma of seeing his father mentally abusing his mother then I will give my applause to makers for addressing the life of 70% indian kids. Seeing your mother getting abused mentally and put down by your own family is not a simple thing for a kid. It has a lifetime effect. Abhi had been taught well by manjari to respect woman. Why? Because she had been a personal victim of not being respected and doesn't want her son to turn to be one.

So far we don't have much clear picture about abhi childhood unlike akshu Or aarohi. Though their are points I would like to point out.

1. Abhi wasn't a born doctor he became one after years of hardwork. What if he was once in childhood had been treated like manjari and neil.

2. They all love him and respect him with a added motive that is all want abhi to stay in birla hospital. Mahima thinks abhi can't leave the hospital. Anand time and again tells abhi is the face of hospital.

Yes these people made him what he is today but no one has the right to hold him back right. A bird teaches it's kids to fly not to stay back in the very same place.

3. This is why when abhi met akshu he wanted her love which was so pure and didn't come with any conditions. They had a talk yesterday how abhi will be earning less and akshu should work along with him. By that he didn't mean a job but how they need to build a family of their own with lots of love and peace. That's all they need love and peace which both never got in the environment they lived.

4. Neil sits at home all the day. Parth sits at home all the day. But what is the difference in it. Neil is an orphan who gets degraded easily by these people. During first tilak anand introduced parth as doctor when all he does is sit simply at home. But Neil and manjari wasn't even introduced that is down right insult.

And abhimanyu had seen all these and grew up and he is a smart guy too. He knows the family loves him but their love comes with an application form with conditions applied tag in it.

As an young kid he would have seen all form of insult and abuse his mother went through and he could not have been able to do anything. So he distanced from his father became a strength to his mother.

I mean the Goenkas (and especially Dadi/Mimi) were pretty awful in S2 (but I think you've watch S2 right?). So much of this is impressionisitc...

Harsh is prone to anger and violence (he yells, hits people and does tod-phod - just like his nawabzada). He's clearly verbally and mentally abusive to Manjari. It's kind of shocking to me how he literally never has a kind word to say to her (even when she's obviously trying to get some affection or good humor out of him). I can't imagine having to grow up with parents like that. I have friends who did and have the mental scars to show for it. To me, it's clear Abhi is used to protecting his mother and there are enough dialogs linking his hatred of his father to his treatment of his mother. So, to me, it seemed a plausible scenario.

As you say, aage aage dekhte hain hota hai kya... (and let's hope its not just all ridiculous dance numbers, infantilized or toxic excuses for romance, unnecessary demonizing of characters - what am I SAYING *wake up girl wake up*😆)

well said.. i really wonder how people can comment about such sensitive topics. I agree its a show. But i don't really understand how can people justify harsh's behaviour towards manjari. She is a woman.. as per current story she dedicated herself to take care of all birla kids but still she is facing so much humiliation. If people think akshu is worthless then think about million homemakers who sacrifice their career for family like manjari.

Everything has a limit. Respect all traumas and all profession.

The one I went on and on about you said it in these simple words Yaar.

No profession is something to looked down upon nor a trauma has a rating to take care of.

Makers didn't show partiality in any character. They made all of them to make a mistake and will take them all to a redemption path too. So when they don't show any partiality why should we up a character and down another character.

A woman staying home and bringing up her kids and others kids is no simple thing and to think such a woman is not respected ultimately all these kids favour goes to her that is their way of loving her, respecting her and showing their gratitude.
