Custody Track: In Depth Analysis

Custody Track! Something which most of us predicted would happen when the leap was first introduced. Now I intent to make a very detailed post regarding who’s right and who’s not (I tend to blabber) and the rest can all advocate on Kaira’s behalf.

First thing first, we know the following things till now:

1) Kartik refused to let Naira go to SS in today’s episode. Naira told him “she’s the mother, hence will decide what’s best for her son” and that Kartik doesn’t even know the basics about Kairav, so how can he expect him to stay at GV without her.

2) Kartik will eventually agree to Naira living in SS with Kairav. He will end up spending the night there. Vedika would come to SS next day and confront Kartik on how he does things which suit him best. She will tell him he’s being unfair towards both her and Naira. In reply, Kartik would tell her that he’s only bothered about his son right now. He doesn’t care about what Vedika or Naira does. Vedika would realise that Naira would always stay in Kartik’s life through Kairav and its best if she commits suicide. She would be saved by Naira.

3) Naira is the one filing for custody. Most probably because she promised Vedika that she would leave the city with Kairav. Kartik won’t allow Naira to take Kairav away from him, so she wants his full custody.

4) Apparently, Naira will be fighting her own case and Kartik will hire the best lawyer there is. The lawyer’s role would be a strong and powerful one and she’s gonna be there for a couple of episodes.

Things I have deduced till now:

1) Kartik and Naira’s marriage is over. Kartik is married to Vedika for now. Him fighting for custody means Kartik intents to stay married to Vedika and Kaira see no future with each other.

2) Kartik or the Goenkas won’t be aware of Vedika’s suicide attempt or why Naira has taken the drastic step. As usual, it would lead to more misunderstandings like it was in the divorce track. I doubt Kartik would warm up towards Vedika during the custody proceedings. If anything, he might start losing his temper on her.

Now coming to the case proceedings and who’s most likely to win:

Kartik:

Aim: Can’t let go of his son whom he has met after 5 years

- Financially strong with a stable family, but a second wife who’s suicidal (doubt this point can be raised in court)

- Was kept away from his son for 5 years which owes him a right to not be separated from his son again but at the same time means he doesn't know much about him for whatever reason that maybe (Naira), so he’s not really capable of taking care of Kairav on his own

- Hasn’t really done anything borderline illegal, except for maybe kidnapping his sister’s son (that was presented as an act of love though, and again, depends on how ugly they are gonna get)

- Anger issues.

- If they want to dig deeper and show a really ugly fight btw parents then even his alcohol addiction can be brought into play. His brother died of a drug overdose, so it runs in the family.

- Connected to his son through a phone call. He knows kairav was interacting with a stranger without Naira’s knowledge. He ran from the house for this stranger, could have been kidnapped as well. He brought the stranger to an unlocked house, spent an entire afternoon with him, while Naira was missing.

- Kairav came to GV with Vansh, again, without Naira’s knowledge.

Coming to Naira now:

Aim: Win the custody to take Kairav away from Udaipur, hence fulfilling her promise to Vedika.

- First thing first, she ran away, hid about the kid, kept him from his father, etc

- Despite being a single parent, one can say she raised a decent child. Couldn’t afford the luxuries but did satisfy his necessities.

- Probably wants to move to another city with Kairav for Vedika’s sake, hence depriving him of his father.

- Can getting her character questioned work in her favour? It doesn’t really prove Kartik to be crappy dad but let’s put it on the list because that’s the crux of the matter.

- Has a history of running away from childhood

- Wants to keep her son away from a woman who clearly doesn’t want him in the house but I doubt she would mention that in the court.

- Would probably lecture on feminism and motherhood since she is fighting her own case

Sorry I can’t think of anything else which would help built her case. Suggestions are welcomed.

Personal opinion:

If Kartik isn’t forcefully demanding Kairav to stay in GV, Naira shouldn’t have initiated the custody case just to oblige to Vedika. She has no business interfering in Kartik and Vedika’s married life or the lack of for that matter.

Maybe she thinks Kartik willingly married Vedika and wants to pursue a future with her, but what about Kairav? She can be indifferent to Kartik’s emotions but shouldn’t she be prioritising her son over a third woman? Stay in SS but let Kairav meet his father whenever he wants instead of taking him to another city.

She’s right to assume that Kairav would want to stay with her and that she knows almost everything about him unlike Kartik, but whenever she points that out, she appears really insensitive to Kartik, to me at least. The only reason Kartik doesn’t know anything about Kairav is because she chose to keep them separated from each other. It’s not like he’s a bad father that he needs to be reminded every time of how he comes second in his son’s life.

Would have disliked had Kartik initiated the custody battle but he hasn’t. Now that Naira has provoked him, I don’t expect him to stay silent and let Naira take his son away from him forever. Of course he’s gonna fight back because he clearly deserves to be in his son’s life. Wish Naira could respect that.

In all this, I feel sorry for Kairav. Poor kid has only just recovered from a heart condition and doesn’t deserve to a part of this tug of war between his parents.

Kaira are clearly still too immature to be parents. They just can’t think sensibly, by keeping their anger and egos aside, even for the sake of their kid.

In the end, I am curious about few things:

1) How ugly are they willing to get? Till now most of their fights used to be in private or in front of their family, but would they publicly drag each other through the dirt now?

2) Where does Vedika fit into all this? How is she gonna realise that she stands no chance with Kartik? Would she come out of her delusions or would Kartik finally man up and come clean to her? How and when is she gonna leave? I doubt the marriage would he declared invalid in this track, so if not, how will it ever end?

3) Who’s gonna win? I personally think Kartik would have a stronger case but he would back off at the last minute because his love for Naira always overpowers everything else. Maybe this would make Vedika realise how much Kartik loves now. I don’t see Naira backing off until and unless she feels Kairav wants to be with Kartik. I don’t see that happening but it’s a possibility.

4) Where’s Kaira and their soul mate connection in all this? Have they lost the ability to empathise with each other? Can they still claim to love each other after all this?

Also just a disclaimer, I have genuinely tried to think from a neutral POV, but ngl, I have been team Kartik from the beginning of this track. I started warming towards Naira when she moved to GV and am quite okay with her in the show right now, however, once the suicide drama and custody track starts, I am sure I am gonna side with Kartik. So the post might sound a bit biased.

Also, custody track doesn’t really sound that bad except for Vedika still being in the picture.

What i think is

Kartik would have a fair idea because swrna would tell him...to choose between naira and vedika... or to give up ... but because he is so angry with naira till now he will warm up slowly during the custody case.. he if wants then will talk to naira once if not then he will go to a lawyer...most of your points i agree with. About kartik...

but seeing the promo gave me different feelings about this. Like how there should be only 10 -11 episodes max regarding this case. That means they will sooner or very sooner will back out. About it i think kartik is going to be the one because naira has lived with his son..and kartik knows how it is to live without a mother also it will mean that his love will win ...which atleast i would be glad about.

About suicide ....there would be a convo between naira and vedika ...without it she wont take this step. Something would really trigger naira tk take this step. What i think is vedika will tell how much she loves kartik and maybe lie that how much kartik wanted a life with vedika...seeimg this... she will feel that kairav and she both are coming in between a family ...or newlyweds. Because till now naira has shown no emotion during teej or havent told kartik how she feels is because she still.has misunderstanding about kartik liking vedika and he wanted to move on ( convo with swrna ) so she doesnt know the story from kartiks pov. Thus she will try to take kartik away ( which is dumb). About custody i agree with each and every point. But i have one question that singhanias will play no role in this ?

Vedika when will see that how much hurt and pain naira and kartik are going through...or maybe that stuck somewhere will happen during custody and thus kartik will start warming up and back off at last. Vedika fits in actually intiating the custody case. Not kaira..because they both have there buckets of misunderstandings regarding each other...but vedika today already did cross limits about talking kairavs illness so there is not extent which she will go to. Maybe she threatens naira that if she did not take kairav away she will kill herself.... in any case naira is totally being unfair with kartik.....no one thinks about this bond.vedika if has any feelings would realize these things gradually .

Also here would like to add that why do no family member tell both anything. What are elders for ?

Bottom line i agree with everything you say ....i just hope they end this track positively.

Track won’t be long because the actress playing the lawyer has said it’s just for a couple of episodes. Two weeks I suppose?

Also, festivals are gonna start from mid-October right? Yrkkh can compromise on its tracks but not the festivals.

Obviously Vedika and Naira would have a conversation. I just feel that Naira doesn’t owe Vedika a happily, married life with Kartik. I would have liked if Naira confided in Kartik about Vedika’s insecurities rather than handling the situations on her own, like always. How does she not realise that every time she does that, she ends up further messing the situation rather than solving it.

I have no expectations from the family members. Goenkas, except for Swarna, would obviously provoke Kartik to gain full custody. It’s the ideal situation for them. They get Kairav, Naira is out of their lives and Vedika gets to sleep with Kartik.

Also, I don’t think we would get a final verdict. Something might happen in between, the lawyer might somehow provoke Kartik to take a stand for his love, Vedika’s confession about how Naira took that step on her persistence, or something that would make Kaira realise that it’s not all about Kairav, but they as well.

At the end of the day, their feelings need to be rekindled. I see the track doing that rather than proving who’s a better parent.

But again, yrkkh cvs are unpredictable. They love Vedika. Anything can happen, like Kaira’s divorce, Kartik-Vedika’s marriage. If they keep getting the ratings, they would stretch the track till New Year’s.

Also in other news Vedika would ask Kartik if they can start their marital life right after Naira and Kairav leave and Kartik would end up spending the entire night and next day at the Singhania’s 🤣

First of all after face off Kartik always said publicly if naira want she can go...he shows his interest only to kairav before family...in week moment once he said how can I let u go naira...but always concerns about vedika's feelings too..

Now coming to custody case I think kartik's fact is strong but eventually he gives up...bcoz he knows the pain of losing mother

And Naira has said openly that she doesn't want anything to do with Goenkas. She has gone as far as to claim that she doesn’t love him anymore.

Makers have still not revealed anything about Naira during her pregnancy period. How she got to Goa what happened nothing so that is still to be explored. Anything can be possible and honestly speaking I see alot of scope for some logical explanation to Nairas decision to stay away. With her health history and what she has been through from losing a child to sexual harrasment and let's not forget being forced to feel guilty for standing up for her respect which caused family financial down fall and then her husbands change behaviour which got rude day by day and then the big blast the horrendous question. Honestly speaking any woman will lose her sanity. I know max people feel more sympathetic towards Kartik but I can't. He always plays the victim card and gets away. He has never suffered to same extent as Naira and he has always been the one to physically and verbally hurt Naira in his anger even shove other women in Nairas face when they are not together be it Ashi or Vedika. Naira even when she lost her memory didn't give 2 hoots to Rishab forget trying to hurt Kartik like that but still Kartik had the nerve to doubt Nairas loyalty and her character. Naira lost one child and with the trauma Kartiks question caused her I can understand her fear of not wanting to come back to him and risk losing another child. Honestly speaking if I was Nairas place I would not wanna go back to in-laws like that but I would go back to my family. For once can Kartik own up to his mistakes and what pain and suffering he caused Naira instead of playing victim or dono Ki galti dialogue. As I said there's so much scope but it all depends on what makers choose to show. I have alot expectations from the court drama with some major revalations and I hope makers dont let us down.

If upcoming events follow the way we r predicting , Naira has done great unjust to Kartik by deciding to run away again. For this reason I think Naira will be at the receiving end at the end of the track. Her case is not at all strong combined with lack of legal guidance now that she is her own lawyer, she is most likely going to lose it. I think Vedika's allegations on Naira and suicide drama will come out but still Kartik will be super pissed with Naira, he has time and again warned Naira of not telling him whom to live with and here she's going to take a decision for Kartik by keeping him separated with his son so that he lives with his wife forcefully. Also he hates her hiding things from him, so he will continue with the case and win Kairav's custody meanwhile finally deciding to say goodbye to Vedika. Or probably Naira will get to know how much Kartik suffered in these 5 years, under what circumstances got married and how she got manipulated by Vedika, so as a way of redeeming herself she gives away her motherly rights by withdrawing the case and giving custody to Kartik voluntarily. In both the situations, the three of them will bond afterwards and gradually their feelings for each other will resurface and both will reconcile.
