In yesterday's episode, two different individuals showed how Kartik's love made them strong.
The first was Kartik's dad, Manish. It's very clear that despite his outward hardness, when it comes to his family, Manish will do anything. He clearly is a wonderful son. Only he seems to be the one in the whole household who can calm Daadi down and reassure her that everything will be okay.
I loved the Manisha and Kartik jail scene. Kartik is still hell-bent on ruining his life because Naira didn't believe in his innocence. His lawyer pleads with him not to ruin his case in court but Kartik tells him that he will say what he has already said to the police. And it is here that his father intervenes. Manish tells Kartik that he never lied about anything and couldn't lie, yet he was going to make a false statement in court. It is ironic, that Kartik got the belief and trust from the one person he hates. His father. His father knew that Kartik could never have done anything wrong and even if he had struck Akshara, he would not have walked away. h]He would have stopped and helped her. Manish knows his son so well. He knew that his son could never do anything wrong even by mistake.
And Naira.
Naira is being eaten away by guilt. Because of her accusations, Kartik might end up going to jail for a very long time for a crime he didn't commit. But now that she knows he is innocent, she is empowered by his love. Her love for him has made her so strong, that despite feeling unwell, despite time running out, she is doing everything she can to catch the real culprit. Kartik's love drives her and gives her the strength to carry on despite everything.
Both Manish and Naira are doing everything in their power to free Kartik yet they are both on opposite sides of the fence. Their love for the same man drives them to do whatever they can to set him free. If only Kartik can see their love.
