I am silent reader in this forum since YehRishta started in 2009 & have enjoy it as fun place to read all discussions and thought provocking insights of many regular members...today I decided to make account because i am shocked at how low members stooped here. its is in good fun as you may say, but i say its insulting and pathetic especially in a public forum...if you don't know what am talking about read last four pages in 'U Me aur TV 30th May' discussions...

numerous silent readers come to the forums every day. it might be inside joke to you, but i have been here for very long time know who you referr to...sometimes redundant posts by same person frustrate even me to see over again on the screen, but who are you to judge how someone types?...So many people in forums don't use emotions or punctuation or grammar...you don't know the person personally so you don't have right to ridicule them in public forum as though you people are the only ones here.,,.,,hundreds of people read these posts every day.

FLGators, tafseer, etc...i always find your posts interesting to read & had lots of respect for you...but simply because you are ablle to type perfectly & write long posts which others praise doesn't give you right to make fun of other members.

this behaviour is exactly why so many silent readers may be deterred from posting in future. like myself... why should I post if i am always in fear of ridicule by someone on the internet who has no idea who or how i am? \...this is not highschool--this is internet. internet etiquette & manners should be upheld responsibly!!!!!!!!!... you should know about that FLGators-- with your perfect English and understandings of the world...

this is very rude behaviur in public forum. you will ask why i care since i'm not ridiculed. I have been ridiculed in the past for my English and inability to write &speak properly but i learnt & now am a bit better...why do you want to hurt someone like that especially when that person is with you inthe forum?

i had so much respect for you people until you decide to stoop so low.

...these are some of my thoughts, i didn't mean to offend. and i'm sorry if there is mistakes in my tying and not up to your level.

@taalca - Well, I am a little surprised by your rudeness. On the outset you say you appreciate some of our posts, if that is the case by now you should know that I have never personally tried to belittle any person here on the forum. Also, if you really did appreciate our posts, I didn't see that until today😕 You were quick to jump on us when you didn't like what you read & concluded I lacked internet etiquette. Well, my parents taught me etiquette too, which is to appreciate anyone's good work. A simple click on the 'like' button would have sufficed. However, you chose not to but now you open an account just to make personal accusations on people you don't even know😕

A lot of thought goes into my post & I make sure I don't offend any particular group of people. But it always is a personal opinion; personal opinions never quite match between any 2 individuals so I still may end up offending those that don't agree. We are all here to respectfully agree/disagree each others opinion. In fact, I believe in more the merrier to make it lively debate.

I am not sure what your personal agenda is with this post. I was going to ignore this post of yours to avoid unnecessary confrontation but there are allegations that need to be addressed. I am here to have a good time with no personal agenda & so I try to take great care to maintain that. If you really felt so strongly like you said you did, you could have simply sent a PM like you asked us to if we had personal issues with any forum members.

For the record, I have no personal issues with any forum member. This is just a show & hurting anyone intentionally isn't on my agenda. I looked at the quote you chose to include; it was specifically to Asawari who is a good friend of mine and she chose to take no offense but you did😕 I specifically use the "ROFL"(🤣) emoticon so that she & whoever reads it gauge the tone of my post. I do not take pride in my typing skills nor do I think I am literature major. I am guilty of over using the emoticon too, so forgive me on that one but it's just a personal preference to indicate my mood😆 I am learning from everyone here be it about joint families, marriage, and my Hindi has improved by leaps & bounds just by interacting with friends here. Please don't conclude who we are as individuals just by reading our posts.

There are some posts I disagree on & I either chose to ignore it or respectfully disagree. This is a public forum and we are allowed to voice our opinion. However there are certain ground rules we require to follow and I am fully aware of my responsibility. I take this as a personal attack since you mentioned me by name & chose to add my quote too. I hope you refrain from posting such malicious posts in the future. There was no personal agenda for me in my posts; I am sorry if you felt that way. Please do not put words in my mouth based on your conclusions. Thanks for letting me know that you disliked my post. Once in a while drop in to say when you liked it. It will put a smile on my face😃 Thank you for your feedback...No offense taken😊

well, @taalca, i won't say anything coz everything has been said by my friend in the above post...but i would like to say that if u had problems with our posts u could have simply PMed us n not open such an insulting post here...is this called etiquette..?
i don't think so that we ridiculed any member's improper writing skills, or grammar...it was just for fun n we didn't mention any member's name...it was just among us who were discussing it...
it feels good ki u read our posts n appreciate it but this post of urs is not a good way to introduce oneself...

anyways, if u felt that way then sorry...

Thanks Jaya for your support. I would have ignored the post but my name was on it. It was a personal attack. If I don't say something forum members get to read only one side & that too the other persons perceived notion.

I don't think so that the post were offensive or we were rediculing any member for having improper writing skills, or grammar. The discussion was among frnds about the future track of YR. I dont think anyone should be offended by it...

@Taalca - You mentioned one of the post of Sari Di... were she replied to me...I would like to make it clear to you once and for all...I dont feel offended by her reply so why were you???

@taalca-di,v r not having any english classes in our frum so dat v will take care of our grammar n punctuations,its just for having fun,chat between friends n enjoyment.v r not posting anything to reveal our perfect english or to show,how highly educated v are,v just accept everybody here with all dere qualities s friendship n conversation doesn't require any boundaries of mannerism,proper words,flawless english.so pls di,now ur post is an insulting one for us.n d 2 girls,whose name u mentioned r just super writers n v enjoy dere posts,dats our first priority,not to check dere english n words like a strict school english teacher.n like dis only,v welcome u to our forum with all ur flaws n good qualities n v will never want to hear anything against our buddies,hope u understand😊

@taalca di-first of all according to IF rules u can't attack anyone as one of my friend's said...secondly this is just a forum where we all share our views accordingly...if one day really sumthing wrong happens we r having that right to speak up n share are views...we r not to ask anyone whether whatever i posted is right or wrong...it depends...if sumone likes the post n wants to quote it she can quote it thousand times...no one is there to stop her from doing that...it's a discussion forum after all...it's not necessary that everyone is agreed to the person then also they quote...if u don't like we quoting a post than how can we help it...n reading ur post n telling how much ability who has n who can write how much by using emotions..i mean this is a family forum n not a coaching centre where we all r taught to speak correct english n use particular grammatical words...this is a forum where friendship n love between everyone is there...we can't hear anyone pointing r friends out for their qualities or anything else...we r here to discuss but not to show how good author or topic discusser we r but to discuss r views...nothing wlse...n reading sarita di's n taffy di's n all others whom u want to point out r our best buddies...we give their topics their posts the first priority...we leave everything n read their posts first...

sorry to say but it was strange to read out the topic...i never knew ki this kind of a topic wud cum up where a member wud point out others qualities n tell what's wrong n what's right...being a member u may first understand other person before hurting her feelings...hope u understand n we happily welcum u to our forum n hope that u enjoy our discussions whether u like anyone's posts or don't...!
