I am die hard fan of EDKV but I liked YPNTKH too.
Honestly when people were saying "it looks like EDKV" while watching the promos of YPNTKH I find nothing similar. But after watching the first episode, it really reminded me of EDKV in a good way of course. May be because the producer & creative writer are the same of EDKV, Dilip Jha & Uday Berry.

It obviously doesn't look like remake, but sequel. Looks like our dream of EDKV 2 has been fulfilled but in incomplete way as we wanted the same cast. But as u can see...the current cast is amazing too. I am watching the show for sure. I hope it won't turn out to be Ego-fight-ego like EDKV did till the end.

But here thank God CVS put brain on ML, even he looks really chalu type and always have his own point of view

FL r even different

Just hope they didn't start their misunderstanding like edkv
Just because of their MU stopped watching that serial so hope CVS don't repeat their mistakes again here

Exactly. I mean I didn't mind the male lead in the previous show because he was a broken man but at the same time it doesn't allow for a lot of maneuverability with the character without getting rid of the central conflict. Basically ShraMan could never be together unless Shravan got over his misogyny. But if he got over that then there would've been no conflict left in the story. So EDKV needed the misunderstandings but at that same time too many misunderstandings and the relationship loses its charm.

Here the male character is a guy for whom the ends justify the means.. but he is going to get burnt by that approach... but we can still have romance at the same time. The lead couple can work through their issues and get together while there is still a story going forward.

This would have been a better storyline for Ek duje- main leads have a stronger character and no drama of extended family etc.
I just watch imaging Shraman as the main leads

Me too imagining
Nothing against these actors
Frankly I like the male lead very much be it his looks or characterizations but can't accept the pair
Even FL is strong but sorry to say I don't like her acting
But I dont want to be negative now, I'm giving this pair and FL time to improve but till then I'm imagining shraman here

I guess we're feeling this cause they've directly hit a dry phase. I mean we haven't seen them falling in love gradually. Hence, give them sometime and let the leads warm up. I think they can do really well.😳

Had it been Shraman, I would be biased towards the male lead.😛

I was actually thinking on similar lines... This show does remind me of Edkv, especially the flashback with younger leads version running parallel to their present versions... And since that was one of the things I liked about edkv, I am liking it here too. Seems I'm watching 2 shows at the same time! :D Total paisa vasool! Haha

Anyway, all the 4 leads (teen n mature versions) seem to have good potential; we just need to give them some time to find their groove and after some time all will be good. :)

Ok so I would like to disagree a bit...
Not to bash EDKV but I really didnt like the characterisation of Suman and Shravan there...I thought the grown up shravan was too mean to suman and I didnt think the grown up suman retained anything like her childhood/teenage self.

I couldnt get into EDKV because I hated the characterisation...Also the serial became weird later on.

Here I think the characterisation actually makes sense. Sid's words are never directly mean...he obviously still loves Anushka ( I thought Shravan was too caught up in the hate). Namit can also articulate Sid's inner turmoil a lot better than Namik (I thought Namik was prettly wooden in the early days of EDKV). Anushka is also way more relatable than a lot of other Hindi serial heoines.

So I think the characterisation is very different and the feel of the show is very different as well. It feels a lot more urban, young fresh. I think the only thing in common is childhood/teenage love and reconnecting again a couple of years later...but thats shown in so many shows...I dont think thats something unique to this show.
