Hello Blue and others...it is nothing new if I say that I loved this post and all the comments. Indeed, my heart went out for Mukhiji yesterday...Eijaz deserves every bit of love and adulation that he is getting for this portrayal...but the surprise package of the show for me is Aru...she is a total scene stealer. Although I dedicated an independent post for Saanvi (for reasons I stated there)...I have no qualms in accepting that Aru's outburst and Mukhi's internal conflicts about Aru & their relationship was the essence of yesterday's episode ...both in their flaws as well as merits were so much into their characters...especially the Ticket swallowing scene...I can just go on watching that scene on repeat!!! However, the part which I found a little over the top (and that ways, became a bit cruel) was the bachche ka baap part...frankly speaking there was no need for that...she could have in fact blurted out stuff like mere peeche se mere pati ko raat mein bulaati ho...kya rishta hai aapka Mukhiji se...That would have been a bit more like Aru and less like an obsessive lover and a nagging wife (something I found a bit inappropriate)...but then, yes, she was totally taken in by the emotions of it all...and played that part really well...it was superb screenplay, must say!!
Lovely analysis Blue once again. And a special mention for Mallika. Mallika, your contribution to every post is so meaningful and you add a fresh perspective to everything...really appreciate it. You are not rigid and have a free mind to grasp every possible view. I, in fact have started visualizing everyone's faces based on their thoughts and the way of expressing them...and the images that I draw-up are of all very beautiful people. Seriously, once the show ends, I will actually miss you people a lot!! And Vio and Blue as far as disagreements are concerned...by now..I'm sure you would know that I am a Lawyer...disagreements and disputes are my bread & butter...😆😆so, I love such disagreements...such sane, mature and lovely disagreements...too much of agreements make it sound like a Quawalli...one singer singing and the others clapping in agreement in the background...can get a bit boring...so keep, the different perspectives flowing in...it is enriching!

Thanks Debashree...I look forward to your comments very often because you bring a perspective that I usually don't have..and it adds value to my understanding of all the characters involved.

Completely agree about Mallika,,,,she has a very centered approach and can take in many views.

Personally I try to read and comment in he direction of encouraging the writer, even if opinions differ. in some places...as you aptly said..we don't need Qawalli..we need harmony of different.
instruments.

I also agree the intense Aru went overboard yesterday..absolutely so with Saanvi. Which gave the right to Mukhi to behave the way he did and once again, took out her bag and asked her to leave. To make him so angry, they have to make Aru look really out of line right.

Thank you dearies for your lovely comments. 😳
Btw Blue (I like this better than Jalpari)... me too 'pelli chupulu' and decided in a few days. What to do.. you know when you know and that's it.

Cora, thanks for your comments on the OS too. Radha pushed me and Vio straightened me out... and that's how it turned out the way it did. But only now I realize that these things take up so much of time to write and correct and rewrite...Bah! I'm better off reading other people's work.

Love that this show has thrown up such mature discussions and lovely personalities. I really wish we could have a live chat with the writers of the show. Really curious as to how these things are shaped up so well. I have yet to see a show that has held our interest for so long...80 episodes!

Anyway... here's to many many more discussions... here's to all of us ❤️

I'm just glad CV's are showing us the different approaches by our leads and are being honest their character's by what we have seen so far of them.

Aru on one hand cannot pinpoint what is she feeling or why is she feeling but at the same time she is quiet clear that she doesn't want to leave..I loved Aru's persistence in this matter..no matter how confused she herself is about everything she is taking steps to stop this travel..though her tricks seems silly but they are very natural given of what we have seen of her. Her ticket swallowing scene was so natural. I was laughing at her antics..even today she was releasing pressure from tire and when asked she was like what did I do. 😆

Mukhi just don't want to think of the possibility of Aru wanting to stay back for him or very well.. he knows it but doesn't want to accept 😳

Anyway keeping sharing your insights, I enjoyed reading them.

_Isabel.

P.S. Elsewhere I read you using Telugu word "Pelli Choopulu".. Do you speak Telugu?

Isa,

I guess the reason is cultural too. And I know what that words means as most Indian languages have similar words or phrases.

I do not speak (much) Telugu (I am a Marathi Mulgi) but am married to a Telugu guy (Obviously, not through "pelli choopulu"!

I recently watched a film with that name and it was really a good watch.

Jalpari!

I know! Right! Ab Angrez kya jaane kaanda poha ka swad! :-D

I never had a single Kaanda poha program but to be honest, I do not think that is necessarily bad. In a country like ours where most girls and guys have almost no places, platforms to socialize, the tried and tested system of meeting through parents work.

Unless, you manage to meet someone (and like enough) in school, university or workplace, the chance meetings are not as common as films will have us believe!

(And I understand the part that someone might click in one meeting and some might take years too.)

Cheers!

@bold: Exactly... having a cash crunch on time like anything..

also time difference doesn't help either... 😳

My hubby has a suspicious look on his face.. when I stealthily log in to IF from my phone and try to keep a poker face wwhile reading all the hilarious and some times quite serious posts... 😆

My hubby is like a kid he needs my constant attention when he is home.. even wen all I have to do is stare at him lovingly while he busily plays his game on his mobile.. 😆 😆

Also my hubby had warned me already on mental health hazards of spending too much time discussing abt fictional characters and virtually making thm do romance in our imaginary La la Land... 😆 😆
