'Yeh Moh Moh Ke Dhaage' is an unlikely couple's beautiful story

TNN | Mar 21, 2017, 01.00 AM ISTEijaz Khan and Niyati Fatnani in 'Yeh Moh Moh Ke Dhaage'Eijaz Khan and Niyati Fatnani in 'Yeh Moh Moh Ke Dhaage'
Two different people. Two different generations. Two different perspectives on life. One look at 42-year-old Mukhi (Eijaz Khan) and 21-year-old Aru (Niyati Fatnani) and you know they are poles apart. But tonight when they meet for the first time in 'Yeh Moh Moh Ke Dhaage', these very differences will lay the foundation for an unusual relationship. A bond that is undefined and never seen before on Indian television.
The show will bring alive the vibrancy of Gujarat. From the bylanes of Ahmedabad to the majestic Rann of Kutch and the splendid colours " the look and feel of the show promises to be a delight.

Eijaz, who will play mukhiya Raidhan Raj Katara, says, "Every actor reaches a stage where he wants a life-altering role. Mukhi is that character for me. This role has been challenging as an actor and I hope my fans grow to love him as much as I have."

Saba Mumtaz, writer and producer, says, "'Yeh Moh Moh Ke Dhaage' is an ode to that endearing phenomena of 'unusual love'. It's my tribute to all those relationship stories we come across, but never understand. I want to shout out loud to everyone to come see this likeable love story of a very unlikely couple."

Yeh Moh Moh Ke Dhaage review: Eijaz Khan shines as Mukhi in new Sony TV show

Actor Eijaz Khan is back with a bang in Yeh Moh Moh Ke Dhaage.

March 24, 2017 | UPDATED 16:42 IST
A +A -

Yeh Moh Moh Ke Dhaage premiered this Tuesday on Sony TV. The show revolves around Raidhan Raj Katara aka Mukhi (Eijaz Khan), who is the village head of Amboli and Arundhati Nanavati aka Aru (Niyati Fatnani), who is an ambitious Ahmedabad girl.

It's Mukhi's sister's engagement and the whole village is being decorated for the occasion. Mukhi is on his way to airport to receive the guests. And guess what his mode of travel is? A camel. Yes, mounted on a camel, Mukhi makes a grand entry in the show.

Dressed in traditional attire, Eijaz looks like a typical Gujarati man from a village. Eijaz has imbibed the character of Mukhi and his performance is as natural as it could be. This is for the first time Eijaz has donned the desi look and he will take you by surprise with his flawless acting.

He has very efficiently got into the shoes of Mukhi, be it the way he walks, talks or sits. Eijaz has gained 10 kg for the role and still manages to look good in his rustic village get-up.

On the other hand, our female protagonist Aru is a career-driven girl, who aims to beat Dhirubhai Ambani and become a multi-millionaire. She is a multi-tasker, who manages her mother's tiffin service, works as an executive in a match-making company, runs her business of dupattas and also is a part-time guide.

Aru is assigned the job to find a bride for Mukhi, whose sister is adamant to not get married till the time his brother ties the knot.

The show effectively captures the essence of Gujarat and gives you the vibrant Gujarat feel with its colourful sets, costumes and locations. The beauty of Rann of Kutch is enchanting in the scene where Eijaz is riding a camel.

Mukhi and Aru's unconventional pairing will be the USP of the show and might be a respite from the usual kitchen politics that's served on Indian television. It will be interesting to see their story unfold and what happens when two different individuals with different set of values meet.

Thanks a lot for sharing.
My only reason to start watching the show was Eijaz...But now I am quite happy with the show and it's concept as well.

And Eijaz is Awesome...His Gujarati accent, his body language everything is perfect. No one would have been able to give justice to Mukhi other than him <3
