I also love villa then book about faith hope and story forget its name,Angel's fall, blue smoke.dont get me started I could go on for all day

Enjoy it's one of my favorite

Declan is a sweetie and I love how he is so assertive and knows what he wants. Nora knows how to portray love man I just love reading her. Blue Smoke is my another favourite and High Noon. I finished re reading Sandra Browns Alibi and loved the characters there too. It’s 80’s setting but the leads are amazing.

You are talking about Carolina Moon my other favourite book they made it into TV movie too with Oliver Hudson and Claire someone can’t remember the last name. Her recent book Obsession is very good too.

Do you have any other good recommendation?

I have read that book multiple times. Her Carnal Innocence and Divine Evil another amazing reads. Divine Evil was very dark but I loved it the story was mind blowing and the climax honestly I did not anticipated that.

yep divine evil was dark hero a cop and heroine a sculptor was it copper.i actually forgot the climax lit bit about boy helping him and her father's friend was the villain and satanic cult was horrible

In Northern light also we get a scarred hero who is not afraid to bring his emotions in the open same as in midnight

The first time I read Divine Evil I was 18 and I had freaking nightmares as I was at my aunts house in South Carolina for my college. I didn’t wanted to leave my home and my aunt was wondering what’s wrong with me lol 😂 second time o read I was 24 and that time I loved it.

SPOILER ALERT

The baddie was the wife of the mayor. She was the main satanic cult priestess and she left but said she can find another. Gave me the chills I tell you that book was very very dark. I loved it though. Very much like Helter Skelter the true crime book by Vincent Bugliosi based on the Sharon Tate and la Bianca murders back in 70’s in California.

I love reading about men who aren’t afraid of their emotions and Nora’s lead men always accept their feelings. That’s why I guess I love that colours show because the guy reminds me of Noras lead. I hate when men are all over the place, puts me off really.

Hi guys,

My post first post in this forum..

Read so many discussions with many wanting Aman to redeem..

The title track itself says about the characters..

Roshni has angelic heart( fictional purely).. she's supposed to be made of glass.. fragile and easy to get hurt..that's her character... she'll always keep loving Aman..no two ways about it..her characterization makes her incapable of hate.. she's a sweetheart and will keep doing so..however annoying it may be..Well, that's her!!!.. there's only ONE Ayana..not only that her powers are more useful only when her loved ones are in danger..selfless love..so Ayana is defined as such, from the beginning of the story, title track ..heart of gold, sacrificing, forgiving..kiddish as kids have pure heart...the maximum she will do is ignore Aman out of her own self respect. I expect this much only from her.

Aman has demonic shadow, he's supposed to represent someone made of stone..difficult , straight faced but loving in his own weird way..just like a stone. His characterization is such..well, such guys are also fictional.

He'll also always love Roshni..no matter how much he dances with other girls..not that he slept with anyone after loving her...that's his way of showing his helpless love cum anger ..because he's also incapable of hating Roshni..and the more he's angry because he loves her the most..that's the kind of stony love he has.

Now, it's a fantasy and I'm happy Gul has stayed true to the characterization till date..each of the leads behaving as they're defined in the beginning.

Together, they win...separated they lose or are in danger...it's their love story, lovestory of a glass and a stone.. literally..😃

Nevertheless I'm enjoying the leads, find them worth watching, roshni is likeable and charming, Aman , vsc does a good job of portraying the layered shades..both make for a watchable couple...interesting story ..Enjoy!!

Going by Amans character, this tym, he'll misunderstand Roshni is a positive way..he won't blame or shun her..rather he'll feel she's not interested in him for her self-respect..and he'll keep his distance..that's him.

Cheers!!

Ya mayors wife I totally forgot .

the first book I read other than Harry Potter was when I was in college. Before that I mainly sticked to children's book.

Then get bored and started searching something more suitable for my age.i was searching something in magical genre and three sisters trilogy caught my eye

And I liked nora robers way of writing.i think I have read almost all her books

Then searched authors similar to nora and started reading judith ,jude, linda, anderson,Karen etc

I was a potter head .I love magic in hp books

I think that may be the reason I got this attached to yjhjk.

And I cant let it go even if the makers show me crap🙄😥😪😢😭

You know funnily enough I have never read any of HP or LOTR books I am not into that genre. I am a voracious reader and for me story is a must. Don’t care for the leads if the story sucks and I think that’s why am so upset at the current track.

I get the magical element but to have a ML who was bad, then he becomes good, and then he becomes bad again based on a flimsy MU is not interesting at least for me and I guess looking at TRP majority feels the same as well.

They changed the story from:

- first aman was human with Jinns shadow

- then he was a jinn

- then mum was a jinn

- brother too a jinn but sisters are not at least for now

- he loves the FL after she died for him and tree bloomed

- his baby mama turns up and he believes her blindly and not his wife whom he loves and who died for him

- baby mama admits her lie but he gives her property

- Alia the non baby mama curses their love which btw was joined by God and thus evil triumphs over good

- he is currently on an insulting spree but still sleeps with her

You see why I am pissed? I had loved this show the first 60 or show episodes but since Alia I want to hit the writers. Are they on the same planet or what?

That’s why am back to focusing on my reading. I am a very fast reader as well so I can finish a book in 3 hrs. Currently am re reading Nora Roberts and then will start on Catherine Andersen and Deborah Smith.

Vibha,

Haha...agree there are loopholes in the story..

They are losing consistency with the logic..but I guess Aman was always half good- half bad..jinn or no jinn..it's only Roshni's selfless love which had some impact on his behavior...else nothing...from the very first minute, he was rich, powerful yet doomed , nothing without Ayana.

I think the writers while trying to stay true to the characters are creating logically loopholes in their fantasy world.

HP, my favourite, and affinity for fantastical magic is why I got sucked up here..but HP had very few logical loopholes...don't even remember them.

The base of any fantasy story is strong foundation, which is clearly lacking now as they have shook their own foundation thanks to an extension.

Still, I feel this show fares better than many others...on itv

Flawed Nawab loves flawless common girl...

Probably I like flawed heroes more than the ideal ones LOL...

I'm still wondering how come I like this hero...if anyone here knows me earlier, I always was supportive more of the female leads..somehow here I just like them both..may be they're not real but fantasy characters LOL
