Every marriage needs a settling in period, and even though sometimes people think that love marriages don't they need far more adjustment and settlement than an arranged marriage.
When you are in love you always tend to ignore other person's flaws or rather because you get to spend a limited time with them you don't see them. But now you are living with the same person 24 X 7, and those flaws are not invisible anymore but they are highlighted as the other person doesn't match your image of a perfect life partner that you have had in your mind for so many years.
This happens more when you have a teenage love story because suddenly you are thrown out of your dreamland and have to face harsh reality.
At least in an arranged marriage you are prepared for the unknown but that is not the case with a love marriage .

I believe that is what is happening with our Samaina and more so with Sameer, he had this idea of a perfect Naina and a perfect honeymoon but the things are not going his way so he has converted into Sameer Tana King Maheshwari . And the lack of physical intimacy and Naina's shyness and her blunders are not helping it .
Let us see how Samaina will come out stronger of this settling in period.

I feel lot of this drama is linked to post HM track...
Specially
Sameer's comments on Naina's habit of saving Money, life style...
Sameer caring less about Chacha Chachi all of a sudden

But I am not liking the VOs interference in the scenes since shaadi.. Its like CVs start some OTT drama and VOs are added to justify

So true
in a love marriage
you are completely blown off looking at how your partner reacts in private
In an arranged marriage you are not aware of such things
so its easier to gel with the routine and the life

To tell you frankly I myself am not liking this OTT drama and want to tell CVs ki bus karo.
They have highlighted the french kiss so much and ruining all the other Samaina moments in the anticipation of the kiss. I feel that we got some beautiful Samaina moments last week which were overshadowed just by the kiss.

Also, Naina suddenly making all these blunders doesn't make sense at all and the VOs being added to justify their actions is just useless. I am failing to understand what does the makers want to achieve by showing her making blunders. If they wanted to show her struggle adjusting to a high class society they could have done it logically. But for now I just feel that all this is just to delay the consummation.

Consummation delay to sensibly bhi ho sakta tha... Samaina having a romantic/beautiful conversation after shaadi about their win over the world and sameer realizing she is too naive to intimacy and he has to take it slow...
We could have enjoyed the kind of intimacy we are getting now.. and honestly I dont find it slow at all..
Just these blunders and twists around FRENCH Kiss is making it too dramatic and on top of that CVs started giving Sameer such extreme dialogs which dont match his character.

Not sure about others but I am done with wait for Kiss... Hope they should 5 mins conversation where they both sync in the feeling of finally sharing the life together with no restrictions

very nice post... i agree knowing someone and living with that person are 2 diff thing...
their personalities will keep creating rift while love will keep their bond intact...

it will be a beautiful journey i believe

Lets see how sensibly CVs will tackle it.
By the way off topic but, why don't you make a post about your analysis .

Isn't settling in period supposed to happen post-honeymoon. Samiana's honeymoon should have been about getting closer and just appreciating the fact that they are finally together and alone without any social restrictions after being in a relationship for 4 years...almost all of which was in secret. I am loving their lovey-dovey scenes but Sameer's taunts leave a bitter taste after or before each beautiful scene.
And frankly speaking, Naina has not screwed up or done any blunder throughout the HM except washing clothes. I mean she wore sports shoes, but her legs were aching which she shared with Sameer. His anger should have melted there. Then, she ate chakri, what is the freaking big deal about it. He realized it himself when he organized the breakfast the next day. Even the kiss, Naina is more than ready. About her clothes, she changed them as soon as Sameer expressed his opinion. In fact, he is the one who chose her clothes.

During the bf-gf stage, their different personalities did clash but they always found their balance in the limited time they had together in college or on phone. Let's see how they balance each other out as husband and wife when they are together 24/7 with all the time in the world. I hope they do not start to take each other for granted. But the clash does not have to be shown in an insulting or demeaning way. Having arguments about how to spend money is one thing, but Sameer taunting Naina's middle-class status is not right. In fact I am looking forward to how they will balance each other out in their marriage. I wish cvs do it tactfully, and not damage Sameer's and Naina's inherent character. They have always been sensitive to each other's emotions and feelings. That should not change post-marriage.

Wonderful post Nikki. Until and unless we stay with others 24/7 we won't know their real personality. The people in love are so blind about their partners short comings, they show always good things infront of each other when they are in the phase of wooing each other. The moment they stay together they are irritated of each other's habits that they don't know. They start seeing the difference in their behavior, both of them may take each other granted.
