PART-2

It had been a long day today. Naina was tired and just wanted to hit the bed. She comforted herself on the seat and rested her head on the window grill. She loved calm serene late nights. The full moon added to the beauty and charm of that night. The tranquility of the moon dissolved Naina's stress

Meanwhile Sameer was attending a call from home. He informed them that he would be late. He asked his parents to sleep and not to wait for him. Sameer's parents knew that Sameer was a blessing to any parent. He had done much more than their expectations. After disconnecting the call Sameer saw Naina staring outside the window into nothingness. She was humming the song:

Yeh raat bhigi bhigi, ye mast fizayein

Utha dhire dhire who chand pyara pyara

Kyon aag si laga k gumsun chandni

Sone bhi nhi deta mausam ka ye ishara

Naina had a song for every occasion. Naina had a very sweet voice and she could keep humming almost all the time. Sameer had a sweet smile on his face for a reason unknown to him. That song was contagious even Sameer began humming it but just in his consciousness.

Ithlati hawa nilam sa gagan

Kaliyon pe ye behoshi ki name

Aise mein bhi kyun bechain hai dil

Jivan mein na jane kya hai kami

Kyun aag si laga k...

Ye raat bhigi bhigi...

"Naina! Called Sameer in a voice barely audible to himself. He again called Naina this time Naina came out of the trans she was in.

Sameer- Ye samose main apne liye kharid rha tha socha tumhare liye bhi le lu.

Naina- Thank you sooo much Sameer( with biggest smile on her face) Tum na sach mein bahoot ache ho. With this she began devouring the samosa like a 4year old kid.😛

Sameer took out his laptop and began working on it. Sameer was a person who could work anywhere any time. He never carried his work to home coz when he was at home he had his business to manage.

Naina finished her Samosa composed herself and continued with another song

Raat ke humsafar, thak ke ghar ko chale

Jhumti aa rahi hai subah pyar ki

Dekh kar samne, Roop ki roshni

Phir luti ja rahi hai subah pyar ki

Sameer was gently disturbed by strands of Naina's hair which had somehow managed to escape from her tightly tied pony tail. Sameer could not focus on his work now and his gaze was plastered on Naina.

Sameer was wondering:- Kitni contradictions se bhari hai ya ladki, ek pal mein sabse samajhdar to dusre hi pal chhoti bachi. Kabhi express train ki tarah bolti jati hai aur kabhi jheel ki pani ki trh puri shaant..😊

Sameer came out of his sea of thoughts as the bus jolted to a halt and Naina came back from her dreamy world when the sudden halt caused her head to be hit on the window grill. She let out a mild ouch realizing that the suhana safar was over.

Naina-Sameer mera stop aa gya, good night and thank you

Sameer- main bhi chal raha hoon tumhare sath, is waqt tumhara akele jana thik nahi hai.

Naina- Sameer please don't worry main chali jaungi, tum aur presan nahi ho

Sameer- Maine apne cousin se kaha hai car lekar aane to main yahin rukne wala hoon tum jao ghar main yahin hoon.

Naina -allright Sameer good bye

Naina's Flat was 500meter away. Naina was walking her way to her flat. Naina turned back to see Sameer watching her go, she smiled and was again in her humming mode. After Walking some distance she realized that somebody was following her. Nana began walking faster and tried calling on 100 which was busy, she tried taking out pepper spray from her bag which she forgot to bring today. Naina was scared to death realizing that, that assailant was nearing her. Naina determined herself to face him bravely. All the safety punches she had learned from youtube began flashing in her mind and she consoled herself thinking she was about to reach her home. Before she turned, a hand groped her from back to which she instantly turned to give a hard punch but to her despair there was not just one but they were two. Naina had no idea on what to do then, She closed her eyes and she screamed with fullest of her lungs "Sameeerrr!

When she opened her eyes Sameer was there at her rescue. Sameer had sensed those goons approaching her and hence appeared like a savior for Naina. Naina had never felt so much relieved before. Seeing Sameer and the building lights turning on by Naina's scream those molesters accelerated away but Sameer noted the vehicle number and reported it to police.

Sameer was fuming red with anger😡 but his fury melted away when he saw the tear drops trickling from Naina's pretty innocent eyes. Sameer placed his hand on her shoulder and found her shivering terribly. Naina advanced towards Sameer and hugged him like a baby. He rubbed her back lovingly to console her, that it was over. Naina murmured in his arms. Thank you soo much Sameer.

Sameer was deeply pained seeing Naina crying. Smiling Naina was the only way he could imagine her. He vowed not to spare them come what may and to give those molesters their due.

Naina retreated from his hug, held his hand and thanked him again. Naina was a brave girl. She was someone who could wipe away her grief with her tears. With her tears went away her agony. Now she was fine. And after being in Sameer's solacing arms there was nothing better she needed.

They walked together till Naina's apartment. Naina bade Sameer good bye. Sameer waved her back. Naina reached her room locked the door and stood with her back taking support from the door. Yes, She was smiling for reason unknown to her. May be Sameer's goodness was more powerful than the harshness of this world.
