Minu...
Amazing is the first word I will use for this brilliantly written and handled os.

You did not deal with just one tabooed subject but touched a few others too...

As we grow up...we girls are given the basic knowledge about periods...and in that process we do learn certain things about our body... But that's it...
Nobody teaches us how to deal with these issues...

For males. ..the situation is worse... I've never seen the knowledge about these aspects of boys being taught or even discussed...and reading a few comments from fellow members about the ignorance of it just proves so

Sex education in school does not even touch this topic...I guess periods in females is more highlighted along with the use of protection coz little or no knowledge about these has consequences...like pregnancy or STD

whereas as wet dreams in both males and females is given a grand ignore as if it does not exist...the reason being simple...people chose to ignore this as a part of growing up...

Coming to this os

I loved how u dealt with the inner turmoil of Sameer...the fear in him giving him sleepless nights was depicted brilliantly...

More than anything Sameer was unsure how his problem will be viewed by any elder in the family... This just shows how tabooed such an important issue was that he could not even share his uncomfortness with his own family...

The fact that he shared his problems with Naina...the only person he felt would try and understand him... irrespective of her gender was something unheard of in those days...
I loved how Naina made him confess to her... Giving him the assurance that she understood things (the magazines and movies reference)...and I'm glad...that though Naina laughed off initially... Her action did not dissuade him from sharing his problem wen she prodded further.

And her accompanying him to the doctor was another subject u touched... It still is a rare thing... Coz wen it comes to getting medical help regarding sexual issues... People esp males generally refrain from it... Reason... They think society will think that they are sexually incapable...which might not be the case.

Will look forward to more such writings from u minu... Loved this one

But few things I would like to clear here.A girl can definitely write about wet dreams while a boy can write about periods beautifully. The writer in you counts.

I am 23 too and taboo is always a taboo. My region is no different rather would say no region.Thats why they are called taboos. And yes! to know about our bodies (male and female) we don't necessarily need to be having boyfriend or get married.Do you think my boyfriend or any male told me about this? Its all about our own interest in learning.I would say never depend upon others to impart you knowledge.Go for it on your own.You are too a budding writer so knowledge on various topics will aid you.

I would not pen down what happens next because that would tone down the entire charm of this story. It would be more like biology class.I would suggest you to type-'Nocturnal Emissions' on google and get complete idea about the topic. Its all available in details.

With love-
Minu

First of all let me congratulate you for this piece ... And yes as a writer it's hard to bring such topics and give justice...But you did so well...
Like we girls have issues on the Tabooed subject, we never could understand wat it is for boys... Well at this age with experience and studies I know so many things ...But if I gk back in time , it was just curiosity and lack ...No one was ever there to guide us be it boys or girls...

When everyone in forum wanted to discuss the Tabooed issue prospect in an young romance ... No one ever came up with the issues with boys ...Lol... I mean their emotional and physical growth also should matter...After all even they are growing...And this is age for so many changes...

Congrats for the writing...And thanx for PM ...

Best wishes

I always told you minu, your all post are amazing plus informative.
I don't feel shy to admit that I got to know about what is wet dream by this os.
I really don't know anything about this.
But you portrait it so beautifully.
You're really amazing minu, through this os you give valuable information and message too.

Many times we thought that boys have no problem, their life is set we girl have to go through only problems. But after reading this os I got to know that they also have some issues which shake their confidence.

This is master piece minu. Nothing was inappropriate, or anything just beautiful piece of work.

Just loved this os, and it was heartwarming how Naina come forward and deal with it and filled confidence back in Sameer and stood up by his side.

Thanks for pm!

Wow!! I don't know how to applaud u for bringing up this matter in such a sensitive and mature way. Not really everybody thinks this deep, for that matter hatts off for ur thought process here. U think so deeply minu, i have seen u dealing such a tabooed things several times in ur stories in a subtle way. Thank you for that.

And to begin with, i loved the starting of this, u dealt with naina observing sameer's restlessness, then she trying to do whatever possible, to get him out of it. She has understood something's wrong and he is not really comfortable sharing it. She took her time. And then came, her entering his home. Such a blissful feeling it has, with her paying her respects to nanu gave me the feels man!!

Once infront of the tv, sameer relaxed, them enjoying eating snacks and her feeding him hayee..!! Sameer was too terrified of her seeing his geela pants oh man, this boy how much he was afraid with the changes that are happening with his body. Him thinking that he will not be able to give her kids, aww man, dil le lo..!! why is this guy, always making me fall in love with him? He was so afraid!! Naina finally unable to tolerate it asking and demanding him straight forward for answers.

Even though she didn't get what he was sayig and laughed at first, she immediately understood he was terrified with this new things that are happening to his body and was completely out of control with the situation. She dealt it so maturely, asking if he told his mamaji, bhaiyya or munna and pandit. And then suggesting what they should do next. Sameer after sharing with her, got some of his confidence back, seeing naina be there and take control and not leave him, gave him the confidence on himself that he lost.

So freaking beautiful how these two interacted and depended on each other. These things matter alot they may look simple for us now, at this age and year, but it was completely different then for them. Her being with him every step of the way, she was there with him in the hospital too. Sameer would've been so proud of his girl then!

She is literally following the vows of marriage, without even getting married!!

Minu, i adore you for coming up with this!!

Please keep coming up with more 😊

Hi Minu,

Big applause for this OS about a rather sensitive but not much known about subject. I have to admit I have been quite ignorant of this issue. I have a daughter, so while I try to educate myself and her about all challenges that girls have to face,I have been fairly unaware of what exactly wet dreams entail.

Loved the way you have portrayed them growing and tackling the challenges associated with adolescence together.

Sameer's reluctance to share the problem, Naina's bullheadedness all so relatable with respect to our characters from the show.

Very very well done dear!
