Hi Guys,
How are you doing? How was the weekend?
So I was re-watching the episodes (don't judge!!!) with my sister-in-law. She is my weekend binge-watch partner. I introduced this serial to her and now is in love with it. I actually saw the entire journey of Naina and Sameer at one go, till now. What stuck me was the relationship between Sameer-Naina and the five elements. Here is what I think:
1) Air:
Naina is a very timid girl. The way she speaks and behaves with everyone is very revealing. She is afraid to speak up, afraid to stand up for herself, especially with her family. It is quite understandable. She has grown up with her uncle and aunt in spite of having a father. No matter how much they love her, it is still not the same as growing up in her own house. And her elder aunt never fail to remind her of this. She always this "perfect" girl.
Sameer gave her the sky to spread her wings. With him, she is not 'perfect' anymore, does not have that burden to be 'perfect'. She is as free as the AIR. She is bold, mischievous, prankster, unafraid. She talks to him about anything and everything, she gets angry with him, she scolds him, she laughs with him, she explores the world around her. She is serious one minute and childish the next. Nothing stops her, nothing holds her back. Sameer enabled that. He gave her the SKY.
2) Earth:
Sameer did not have family in the truest sense except his Nanu. He did not have that stability, that quite assurance that there will always be someone who is there for him to fall back on, the one who will always be with him. He got that with Nanu when he moved to Ahmadabad. He got that with Munna and Pandit.
But, Naina is different. She showed him that, just because his mother does not love him, that does not mean no one will love him. She showed him that he deserves love, he deserves to be cared for, deserves to be happy. He was without an anchor. She completed his family. She is his EARTH, she grounded him.
3) Fire:
Naina did not understand passions. She did not understand the madness that comes with love. Sameer ignited her inner/hidden FIRE. He stoked the hidden embers within Naina's soul. Her passion is as intense and as desparate as Sameer's.
4) Water:
Never was Sameer able control his raging anger, at himself, at his mother, at the injustice and unfairness of the world. Naina calmed him down with her gentle understanding. Her love was the WATER required to cool his anguish.
5) Space or Sour Or Spirit:
Naina and Sameer are forever connected through their SPIRIT. Their SOULS have become one. Their love transcends all the SPACE in the universe.
