Wow Kshithi...the moment I saw the topic, I, like many others here was reminded of the series written by Manisha...

I really did not think on those lines until the post by Manisha...now that you too have put forward your views, I would share my take too...

1. Air: What you said was true here. Naina always had big aspirations, dreams, a desire to be set free...as you said fly high...she always had wings for that, but she was a bird who had been told by others that she can never fly. She tried to believe in n conform to those around her. But then Sameer entered her life, n emboldened her to try...to try and do what all she had been withholding herself from doing...

2. Earth: I agree with you cent percent here. Sameer found his anchor, his earth in Naina. Finally, he felt stable in life.

3. Fire: Well my asanskari mind kicked in here. 😆 But yes, Naina did explore the feeling of loving n being loved. Her desperation to become Juliet, so that if ever Sameer has to kiss anyone's hand, it has to be hers. I would like Naina to understand more of this passionate fire soon.

In addition, I also feel fire symbolizes jealousy. She's possessive about Sameer...remember when he was clicking Kamya's pictures in Abu, she was all green with envy (I wish they had elaborated that scene further. It had ended quite abruptly with Sameer chasing Naina n then poof...gone). She was also jealous when the leaves of that sacred tree fell on Kamya and not her. She was jealous when Kamya said she has an "S" on her hand. I hope we get to see both their possessiveness for each other in future episodes.

Also, another take is the fire Naina breathed on Sameer. The Samerr Maheshwari, who never cowered away from anyone, found his match in Naina...after the fight post the hand kiss, n after the bet revelation.

4. Water: Yes Naina did calm down Sameer. He learnt how to control his anger n the sense of being betrayed. He realized his own faults too n started giving importance to mending relations over his own ego.

5. Spirit: This is my favorite amongst all. Yes their souls have become one...perhaps they had been one since a long time. Remember the telepathy between them? The way Naina could sense Sameer on the phone, or when he was around (even if out of sight). And now how Sameer can sense Naina over phone...n when he stopped in the hospital.

I would say the Universe has already joined them...destined to be together...It waited till the opportune moment n Sameer packed up his bags not to go to Delhi but come with his Nanu. He not taking admission in a convent coz of his step father n chosing the current one coz Munna had told him about it. The chewing gum, the cutting of Sameer's hand n duppatta...the meet cute...all pointed to an existing connection between these two souls. Remember how they've landed up together at many moments, just by chance...eg the debate on anti smoking...Naina herself says that time...ek Sameer tha jo kudrat ke ishaare samajh hi nahi raha tha!

Wow. Its amazing how you blended all 5 elements with Samaina.

Very apt thinking.

Loved the way you connected those with characters of Sameer Naina and I can relate that now.👍🏼

Coming to your post-
Yes.the reason he said they are not two people but one lies in exploration in dynamics of their relationship.They are not self sufficient as the world perceives them to be.
The beauty of their relationship lies in awareness about each others strengths and weaknesses and accepting it.
Acceptance is what they need from the world for their imperfections and flaws.
For Naina,she needs space/sky to be wind sometimes and no doubt Sameer gave her that.
For Sameer,the fire within him could only be tamed with water drops of love by Naina
For Naina and Sameer It takes strong heart to love and stronger heart to love unconditionally.That's how they are rock of each other and feather of each other.Deriving strength and weakness from each other.Each caring to provide happiness and care just like earth does.
