Chapter 5
Naina was teaching Sameer and Preeti when they heard a commotion outside.When the trio went to the balcony, they saw Megha Ben running towards a guy, all teary eyed. The guy was on crutches and had a bandage on his head. She went and collapsed into his arms throwing him off balance. He regained his balance and hugged her back. An elderly couple was walking behind the guy.
Hearing this commotion, the entire society left what they were doing and came to the balconies.
Megha Ben's parents came and helped the guy and his parents to their house.
The trio rushed to Megha Ben's house and the sight that greeted them warmed their hearts and souls. Naina was standing in front of Sameer with Preeti.
Actually the guy Megha Ben was supposed to elope with on the day of her marriage, jitesh, had been hit by a truck while coming to the railway station to meet Megha Ben. He had lost his memory for last few months. When he recovered he expressed his desire to meet Megha. When the family called at megha Ben's residence no one picked the phone.
Megha Ben's father informed jitesh's family that yes the family had left the town for sometime after Megha ran away as she thought that jitesh had betrayed her and she had tried to commit suicide.
Both the families realized that the last few months had been full of trial and turbulations. Jitesh looked at megha Ben and asked why? You didn't trust me? You could have just called.
Anand chachaji intervened and said now all's well that ends well. Now that jitesh is well and the kids have reunited let's forget all the miseries and start afresh. It was decided that Megha Ben and jitesh would have a small marriage ceremony by weekend. Everyone rejoiced. Jitesh forgot that people had gathered around them and pulled Megha Ben into a hug.
Such was destiny, Megha Ben's marriage would take place before Pooja.
Megha Ben's father requested Sameer to bring some savouries- samosa, kachori and some sweets.
Sameer said ok uncle.
Chachaji said I'll accompany Sameer.
Meghaben hugged Naina and pulled Preeti into the group hug. Chachaji saw this and hugged the girls and said god bless you Megha. Have a great life.
Sameer who was standing behind Naina was overwhelmed as he remembered Megha Ben hospitalized at the same time as Naina. He was overcome by emotion.chachaji saw this and pulled him into the group hug.
Naina was electrocuted! Sameer realized this and held her hand with one hand and wrapped his other hand around her tiny waist and pulled her to him. She looked at him and he smiled. Once the group's emotions were settled and Naina got over her shock, they retreated from the group hug.
Sameer and chachaji came outside and stood on the stairs. Chachaji asked Naina to get his wallet from his house. Naina was still in shock.she looked blankly at chachaji. Chachaji shook her beta get my wallet.
Naina regained composure and said ok, she looked at Sameer who smiled and lowered his head. My baby Nainu... Daydreaming at the slightest touch.naina returned with the wallet when Rakesh shouted oye ameerzaade tumhaare nanu ka phone aaya hai... Hum to receptionist hai... Aao sir phone attend Kar lo...
Sameer said chachaji I'll be back in one minute. I don't know why nanu has called.
Naina noticed that there was something amiss in Sameer. The phone call had vanished the color off his face. She wondered what was wrong. Without a word she questioned what was wrong.he smiled and said nothing. Chachaji asked Sameer beta you ok? Hanji uncle .. all is well let's go, replied Sameer.
Sameer... Careful...
The words died in anand's throat. A collision was averted with a car.
Sameer are you ok?

My mother has had a baby girl. When my dad died she remarried and moved to Delhi with her husband and step son. She meets me sometimes. We have a strained relationship. My nanu is all I have. I always think that sometime she will realize how much I need her and will come back.now I think with the new baby, our relationship is over. I will have no place in her life. Sameer you are like family now. When Naina was born, her mother passed away due to complications. I know her tayiji and somewhere Rakesh Bhaiya too associate her birth with her mother's death. But for me that's bullshit. I have loved and raised Naina as my own daughter. Never associate loss of a loved one or your conflict with a loved one with the arrival of a bundle of joy. Make your own relationships.

Once they reached they handed over the savouries and sweets to the women. Naina came and stood besides Sameer.
She asked what's wrong. Explain.

Chachaji came and said Sameer has a flight tomorrow evening and an exam tomorrow. Naina eat and then take Sameer and Preeti and make them revise.

The trio studied till 2 in the night and then called it a day.
Next day Sameer breezed through the exam. He knew everything. He thanked naina, said goodbye to everyone and went home. He reached home at 12 in the afternoon.
He packed quickly and then slept as he studied till late last night.
He was woken up from sleep. He dreamed that it was Naina.

Sameer checked and it was closed.he smiled sheepishly.
Within a second, he got up and pulled Naina to him and kissed her. Naina lost her balance and fell on him.
When he parted for air, he said thanks for teaching me, I knew everything in the exam today.

Sam and nanu reached delhi. They entered the house and Sameer greeted vishakha and gave her the card Naina had made.
His mom was in tears and speechless. She ruffled his hair and kissed his forehead.
He went to the baby's bed and saw her with wonder. He told his mom, she looks like me. My sister. Vishakha was touched by sameer's acceptance. She had been so apprehensive.He kept the teddy near his sister. He then took her hand in his and smiled at the difference in their sizes.
His grandfather was so relieved. He knew the Sameer that stood in front of him was a changed person. Much calmer, so mature; he smiled when he thought of the reason.
Just then Mr. Somani came in. Sameer said hello. He nodded.
Mom, will she tie me rakhi? Yes of course Sameer.

Sameer felt a drop of tear touched his cheek and rolled down. He looked up and saw vishakha cry.

Sameer and Rohan also struck a civil relationship. Rohan was a teenager. He was struggling with the awkward phase of braces and pimples. Sameer said dude it's a matter of few years before you grow out of this.
It was a pleasant stay of three days before nanu and Sameer headed back to Ahmedabad.
Naina was woken up to Preeti singing sun sun Didi Tere liye...
She freshened up and went outside. Sameer was back and Rakesh sir was in his elements making him clean all the fans.
Sameer looked at her and winked. Naina was so happy seeing him after three days.
She just wanted to pull him down and kiss the daylights out of him...
She was happy her darling was back just before the start of the wedding preparations.
