It's realistic cuz no regular boy would fall in love with Naina's OTT champu ways so easily...anyone would be weirded out as a first reaction, least of all the so called heartthrob of the school😆.

Invariably though this bet is helping him interact with Naina and learn her personality as a whole beyond her OTT padhaaku chamchi ways...it's a subconscious thing at this point.

+1 to this. Disadvantage of a daily series. We get too much time to mull over a simple action or a sequence.

It'll be nice to see Sameer 's feelings at the end this entire sharth business.

So nice to see other bbkd members!!!!

So true! Naina is innocent here but acting her age having her first crush😳, every action of Sameer is taken only as a positive feeling. She is in 7th heaven since he is reciprocating to her ! Felt sorry for her yesterday. The other girls in her class are not friendly to her at all. I wonder why.
Sameer on his part whenever she gives attention he laughs at her. Once madam stops giving him attention he starts running behind her 😆 wanting the attention again..

@bbkd- arre wah Tum bhi. I started off with your aye sinamika vm only. Still has that charm.damn Sony TV.. such potential it had .I hope Sony doesn't pull this off air like it did for Bbkd for trp sake.

Word on the 90s inanimate objects making you so nostalgic...I got so happy just seeing an old Maruti 800...was flooded with so many memories...and then yes, the gold spot bottles, canteen ke samose, the steel waale tiffin boxes😆, fountain pen se likhna, the white canvas PT shoes😆

Aww the Aye Sinamika VM...now you made me go back and rewatch it too...I loooved that last week of BBKD...so blissful it was...yeah but it still pinches that it got cut short...lucky for YUKD, so far it seems to be doing decent in the ratings so hasn't seem to come under Sony's scanner yet...*touchwood*...hope it's allowed to flourish without lame melodramatic twists and is allowed it's simple flavor.

Anyway, yes I agree on the vulnerability of Naina. She is the heart of the show and a totally relatable character for many of us. When I compare her to the other inane female characters on TV, she is just so much more believable, likeable, and well-written. The narration in the background contributes a lot to that. Hope this show is given a chance, as I am already starting to remember what happened to BBKD at right around this time. 😕

Re: Naina...so I don't really consider her totally relateable...she's a little too much on the somewhat whiny side of a goody two shoes and the way she takes 10 minutes to get a word out sometimes is kinda annoying to me...what helps though are the otherwise innocent moments and Sadiya Siddiqui's FABULOUS voiceover lending some personality to Naina.

The actress playing her is quite raw too and her voice has a tendency to get a little nasaly sometimes...but she's otherwise apt for the role in terms of the innocence.

I connect with Naina in moments like the one I described in this post...where it's the right balance of innocence and vulnerability without going overboard...another moment I loved was her ironing her clothes with so much shiddat the night before her mandir "date" with Sameer...it's little things like that that add nuance.

Overall though somehow all the elements of the show are coming together for a generally pleasant watch, so hope they keep that going :)

Oh I love Nanu's character too...so nicely woven into the storyline :)

LOL so true😆...the tables are bound to turn ultimately and then Sameer will crave for what he's now dismissing😆

I am more of a reader than a writer. Just compelled to share my views after "heartless Sameer" outcry that I happened to stumble upon in this forum as well as other social sites regarding Friday's episode.

In fact I was really skeptical about the show to start with as it was from the same production house that is connected with shows like "Diya Baati" etc.,

However I was pleasantly surprised by the content. I concur with AY. Sameer is a typical teenage boy. While everyone was trying to decode his "smirks" into "angelic blush" vs "(d)evil" category, I just saw it as a guy who is simply acting out to get at the girl who labeled him as a "thief" in front of his family & peers.

Agree that Naina is the quintessential 90's "nice" girl next door but she is imperfect as well - she is biased towards her family. She rambles about the guilt of lying to her family but the same girl did not once think about absolving Sameer of being labeled as thief even after knowing that her brother Arjun was the culprit in the first place! Nah - her family precedes everything including Sameer even if it meant an innocent is continued to being labeled guilty. As cheer leaders of Naina we tend to overlook her faults. Ironic isn't it?

I would have been surprised if Sameer even showed a liking towards Naina at this point - that definitely would be total cliche - bad boy liking good girl after 50 days.

As URnotThisBody aptly said "We get too much time to mull over a simple action or a sequence. "

THIS. Very well put! I absolutely agree...Naina is far from perfect...she has many flaws too...as you rightly pointed out, her bias towards her family to the point of blindness...she is QUITE judgemental otherwise except initially in the case of Sameer when she was making excuses for why he might be smoking...but it didn't take her a second to otherwise dismiss him as a liar and a thief quite viciously...so they are both flawed and circumstances have played their part too.

Naina is naive but also quite judgemental in other ways...and Sameer is not the typical bad boy with a heart of gold who melts overnight...they are both realistic, flawed ppl.

And yes, Sameer really doesn't have a reason at this point to think kindly towards Naina...she hasn't given him much cause other than now randomly softening towards him but by then his plan was already in motion...lol

As a personality, Sameer hasn't seen much of Naina other than her teacher's pet, tattletale ways, her stuttering in front of her father, so can't fully blame him for his opinion of Naina...the rest of his reactions stem from pettiness.

They are still yet to learn much about each other...even Naina felt a pause on learning that Sameer is not family oriented and in fact hates the word "family"...it shook her for a bit.

I like both Sameer & Naina being imperfect as it is more relatable. And you are spot on - they hardly know each other other than having mastered their "coding" rhythm.

One little thing that stood out for me from Friday's episode was Munna - granted he is the "clown" but somewhere within that clown is a sensitive guy - he was the only one that noticed Naina's despondency when she was refused a part by Lochan Sir and volunteered to get Naina. Even when he knocked on the door his tone was more sombre and there was a lack of his usual boorishness.

Maybe I am reading too much into nothing but I did not expect that from him at all. Going to keep an eye on him - have a feeling he is going to be a catalyst that is going to change the endgame!
