Sameer's mom is totally unaware of her son's plight...she loves her son but on her terms...i hate it when she keeps on saying ...he is ur father blah blah..can't she see...the man insulting and pulling down her son all the time..

and she expect him to respect dat man ..

Had she for once hugged sameer and asked him his pain..gave him a moment of love..

Sameer would have been another person..

More dan her evil husband..she is her son's culprit..

There is definitely lot of communication gap between the mother and son. And this is why I feel Vivek's villainish role is such a sucker for the whole plot. It would have made sense if Vivek would have been a regular distant step father. Not outright villain that they made him out to be. Then Sameer's Mom's stance would have been a bit better. She overlooks Vivek's rudeness because of plot convenience. Even minus Vivek , Sameer's mom (what's her name?) is pretty far from her son emotional and really has little idea about what qualms he suffers from. That is a relationship to be mended across the show I feel where Naina would have a good role.
