Naina was so relieved to see Sameer and she thanked God for whatever happened today. Atleast now Sameer won't be angry with her and would forgive her for the punishment he got because of her. With all these thoughts in mind, she ended the day with a decision to say sorry to Sameer the next day in school and explain her version to him so that she could start a new friendship with him. She knew that it was very necessary to apologise to him, otherwise he won't be able to forget this incidence. She couldn't wait for the next morning now and kept on dreaming of him and went off to sleep late night.

On the other side, Sameer came back home and saw Nanu taking rest in his room. He went to him but didn't speak anything thinking that he was asleep and turned around to leave from there.

Nanaji: arey Sameer...tum kab aaye?

Sameer: Nanu aap aaram kijiye hum kal baat karenge...

Nanaji: tum yahan baitho mere paas...main theek hu...chinta mat karo...mujhe tumse kuch poochna hai...

Sameer: jee Nanu poochiye...

Nanaji: Sameer maine dekha ki tum us ladki...kya naam hai uska...haan...Naina...usse kuch naraz ho aur usse theek tarah se baat nahi kar rahe the...kya baat hai beta? Sab theek hai na?

Sameer: aapne theek kaha Nanu...main usse bahut naraz hu...jo usne kiya...uske liye main use kabhi maaf nahi karunga ...

Sameer narrated the entire incident in school to his Nanu and he listened to him patiently...

Nanaji: Sameer...kabhi kabhi jo sach hota hai...wo hum dekh nahi paate aur jo sach nahi hai...usi ko sach maan lete hain...us ladki ko dekhkar aisa nahi lagta wo aisi hai...jis tarah se usne meri madad ki...wo dil ki bahut achhi ladki hai...ho sakta hai use bhi galat fehmi hui ho?

Sameer: agar use kuch galat fehmi thi to use mujhse clear karna chahiye tha...na ki Principal se meri complaint...use to main sabak sikha kar rahunga...

Nanu tried to explain but Sameer left the room in anger. He couldn't forgive Naina so easily...after all she complained against him to the Principal...when she didn't even know that what was the entire matter...no ...he couldn't forget his insult which happened just because of her.

Next morning in class, Naina was waiting for Sameer to come so that she could talk to him. When he entered, a smile came onto her face automatically...she kept on looking at him but he didn't even look at her and passed by and sat on his seat. Naina was not expecting this kind of a reaction from him and she became very sad. She just wanted to talk to him once but he wasn't looking at all towards her. She decided in her mind that she would talk to him during recess break.

The bell for recess break rang and all the students started to leave the class to go to the canteen. As Sameer was getting up, Naina called him and asked him to stay for few minutes as she wanted to talk to him...he wasn't interested on talking to her but agreed on her insistence. When everyone went out, Naina spoke to him.

Naina: mujhse ab tak naraz ho? Baat nahi karoge mujhse?

Sameer: main tumse kyun baat karu? Tum meri dost nahi ho jo main tumse baat karu...aur waise bhi...main to ladai karta hu na...jaao...jaakar Principal Sir se keh do...

Naina: Sameer main aisa kuch nahi karna chahti thi...maine wohi kaha jo maine dekha...mujhe laga tha tumne mujhe maaf kar diya hoga...

Sameer: tumne jo kuch dekha tha...zaroori nahi na...ki wo poora sach ho...tumne poori baat jaan ne ki koshish bhi nahi ki aur... Aur waise bhi...main maaf karu ya nahi kya fark padta hai?

Naina: agar tumne mujhe maaf nahi kiya tha to tum kal meri books lautane kyun aaye the ghar?

Sameer: wo isliye kyunki main tumhare ghar waalon ko dekh chuka hu...agar main nahi aata to tumhara kya haal hota...wo main nahi chahta tha...kyunki tumne mere Nanu ki help kit hi...mujhe koi shauk nahi tumhari madad karne ka...

He said this and left from the class room. All her dreams seemed to be shattered in that very moment...tears dropped down from her eyes and she wiped them off. She didn't go to the canteen and didn't have her lunch as she couldn't face him today. She kept on crying throughout the lunch break and after that also, she could not concentrate on the studies. Swati kept on asking her but she didn't tell her anything. Only thing she wanted was a wayout so that he forgives her and right now she couldn't think of any such idea.

During a class period, her class teacher called her to make a list in the school register. Though she wasn't interested in doing anything right now, but she couldn't deny her teacher. So she agreed to make that list. To her surprise, she found out that the list which her teacher wanted her to complete included the details of all the students in the class. While making the list she came to know that 2 days later, it was Sameer's birthday...she became elated to know that and thought that Ganpati Bappa had given her the idea she was searching for...with folded hands he thanked the Almighty. She would definitely try to do something to make his birthday special for him so that he forgives her.

Rest of the time in school, she was thinking of ideas for his birthday but couldn't think of anything good. She decided to discuss with her friend Shefali because she always gave her good ideas in such matters. After reaching home and quickly gulping her lunch, she went to meet Shefali so that she could plan something soon.

Naina: Shefali...meri jo dost hai na Kavita...use apne us dost ko manana hai...magar use kuch samajh hi nahi aa raha wo kya kare...parson us ka birthday hai...par ab tak uske paas koi idea nahi...usne mujhse poocha...par tumhe to pata hai...aisi baton mein...mera dimaag nahi kaam karta...tum hi kuch batao na...

Shefali: dekh Naina...teri us dost ko bol ki wo apne dost ko ek achha sa gift de de...jisse wo use maaf kar de...

Naina: gift...wo kya?

Shefali: hmm...wo to sochna padega...tu ek kaam kar...use bol ki wo apne dost ko friends cap gift kar de...ya fir Teddy bear jispe friends forever likha ho...jaisa Prem ne Suman ko diya tha...

Naina: Suman...Prem...kaun...

Shefali: arey tum bhool gayi...Maine pyar kiya me Suman aur Prem...

Naina: nahi nahi...wo yeh sab nahi kar payegi...

Shefali: to fir wo ek greeting card gift kar sakti hai...jispe wo apne dil ki baat likh sakti hai...tu uske saath archies gallery chali ja...aur choose karne mein help kar de...aur bhi bahut gifts milte hain... wahan dekh kar choose kar lena...

Naina: par main kaise choose?

Shefali: tum nahi...Kavita...tumhari friend...use choose karna hai na...tumhe sirf help karni hai..

Naina: haan ...achha...koshish karti hu...

Somehow Shefali had a clue that Naina was sharing her own feelings with her in the name of Kavita...but wanted to wait for her to tell herself.

Naina left her home and went to the nearby Archies gallery...she wanted to choose something nice for Sameer for his birthday but everything was very costly there. She didn't have the courage to face her father and Taiji's questions and their comments about the money she gets as her pocket money.

She felt a song play in her ears...' Aamdani athanni kharcha rupaiya...bhaiya na poocho...na pooch haal...natija than than gopal'

Sadly she came back to her home and was very sad today. All her dreams of pacifying Sameer's anger seem to fade away and she felt as if she lost him forever. What she should do...she kept on thinking all the time. Her Chachaji noticed that Naina was upset for something...she was not eating properly today also she wasn't concentrating on her studies. It was late night and Naina was standing outside in the balcony with tears in her eyes...she was lost in Sameer's thoughts when Chachaji came there.

Chachaji: Naina...kya baat hai beta...soyi nahi...bahut raat ho gayi hai...dekh rah ahu...aaj bahut pareshan ho...

Naina: Chachaji...meri ek dost hai...parson uska birthday hai...main use gift dena chahti hu...par mere paas ...

Chachaji: tumhare paas utne paise nahi hain...yehi na...

Naina nodded her head in yes.

Chachaji: Naina...dekho beta...tohfe ki keemat nahi dekhi jaati...uske peeche ki bhavna dekhi jaati hai...tohfa mehenga ho...yeh zaroori nahi...par wo poore dil se...pyar se diya ho...yeh zaroori hai...tohfa lene waale ko yeh pata chalna chahiye ki tohfa dene wala use kitna pyar karta hai...

Naina thought that she could never express how much she loved Sameer... She just wished Sameer himself understands when he sees her gift...Naina always felt that whenever she was in a dilemma...her Chachaji came to her help...how easily he found out the solution to her problems was so amazing. She could never thank him enough for his support and his thoughts...which were ahead of times. She wished her father was just like him...unfortunately that wasn't possible. She understood what her Chachaji said and decided that now she would definitely come up with a good idea to make Sameer happy. She kept on thinking and after some time came up with an idea...she was happy at being able to make a decision and peacefully slept at night.

Next day in school Sameer was walking with his friends group. They were all talking about his birthday celebration the next day. All of them were asking him for a party in class as it was his first birthday in this school. He told them that although he didn't want to celebrate his birthday...but for them he would give the entire class a treat in the canteen and also they'll all go to Law garden in the evening for a party. Naina overheard them and was happy that she would also get a treat along with the entire class. Also she was sure that Sameer would definitely forgive her tomorrow after seeing her gift which she had planned for him and she was desperately waiting for the next day.
