After Kumkum Bhagya and Kundali Bhagya, Balaji's head honcho, Ekta Kapoor is all set to make Ye Hai Mohabbatien's spin-off. The new show is titled Yeh Hai Chahate and is inspired by the classic Hollywood film Sound of Music. The show will be based in Delhi like the parent show Yeh Hai Mohabbatien. It will feature Karan Patel aka Raman and Diviyanka Tripathi aka Ishita's new extended family.
Sources tell us that Ekta had a closed-door meeting with Star Plus team where the deal of this show was sealed. The show will go on the floors in March. Ekta will be signing one of the top actresses for the lead role. Moreover, she is searching for someone who can dance as well as sing for this role. Star Plus' earlier attempt with spin-off of Ishqbaaz, which was titled Dil Bole Oberoi, did not work well and went off-air soon. But it seems that Ekta has convinced the channel to make the spin-off as successful as Yeh Hai Mohabbatien. Along with Yeh Hai Chahate, Ekta will be launching two more shows on Star Plus. One would be a reboot version of Kasauti Zindagi Kay and other would be a supernatural like the famous show Naagin. Seems like Star Plus is all to set to revamp its shows to offer a stiff competition to Colors TV and Zee TV. In 2018 some 8 new shows will be introduced and most of the old shows except Ye Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and Ye Hai Mohabbatien will be bumped off. Among the new offerings is a new show Kullfi Kumar Bajewala that will take over Ikyawan's slot. Another satire called, Har Shaakh Pe Ullu Bhaita Hai will start from this month.
