Aliya and Ruhi ( older version) do not raise the bar of the show

There is no sparkle in their performance

The same goes for Mihika - her heart is not in her role fully

Adi is good at emoting but with Aliya he falls flat because range of Aliya and Ruhi( Oder version) is limited

All the old cast has a celluloid presence

Raman and Ishita call the shots undoubtedly

But to save footage and because of poverty of imagination in the story line the other characters are given roles to play beyond their capacity for sustained periods which they cannot sustain because of lack of range - same applies to the storyline - there is no range- to pull a story line is alright Burt you must catch the range , the network so to say

The writers are not able to grasp this bit

The absurd can also work but it has to be handled with craftsmanship

Either the craft is lacking,inadequate or indifferent

All these three impressions reveal themselves- the jail scene- the hospital scene- Ruhi crying- Mihika shouting- Aliya gambling- Adi sticking by her-

It is hardly leading anywhere

The show seems to have gone into the hands of amateurs - story- direction - choice of actors- the continuous footage given to them

Hope the damsel in the new avatar is given some time to be seen on the screen to make a difference

If its a question of saving costs then it will be like Divyanka is endorsing another line of clothing -Something which she does very often -

Hope the managers of this show do not waste everybody's time but give some good twists and twirls so that it comes back on track

Totally agree with you... The serial with get TRP's if audience can connect, the emotions are explored.. I understand that there is pressure on them with absolutely no time limit but then looking at the competition they have been dealing with it from many years now.

I am watching old episodes of YHM currently so can tell you where exactly the CV's faltered.

YHM lost its touch from the episode where the old house was burnt... That was the first time when Raman's emotions were sidelined and that was one track which everyone was looking forward too as Ishita unknowingly repeated Shagun's fidelity actions and hurt Raman to the core... Later when she got to know of it also there was no apology from her side... This was the track from where CV's started losing their range and exploring the emotions of others.

From that episode , Ishita's journey of showing her as abla naari and the one who commits no mistake began. This was the episode from where Raman's characters downhill journey started who from being a smart CEO was turned into a screeching , screaming, dumb person and the other characters became mute spectators.

After this episode itself YHM started becoming a shadow of what it was. From here onwards whatever track the CV's picked , they were weird and they never were able to catch the depth of the story or give it a closure.

I dunno if after the old sets got burnt the CV's got changed or the major crew members changed but this was the episode from where the actual downhill of YHM began.

About the actors, I agree that the actors who emote the characters of Aaliyah, Ruhi and Mihika are very mediocre , nothing personal about the actor but Aditi's voice is very screechy which leaves the audience irritated whenever she opens her mouth. Her voice modulation in dialogues is also not good.

I just wish that whatever change happened after the old set got burnt, they get those people back on the project and then am sure YHM will never go below 1st position .

Perfect analysis. After that Mani track where Ishita unknowingly "apparently" repeated Shagun's infidelity, both leads' characterization changed forever. Ishita became jagat abla nari who at the same time is always right and a jack of all trade kinda women!!.A brave, sensible but reserved man..an always-in-charge charismatic CEO became caustic, foul mouthed nincompoop who can't even solve simplest matters!!

New cast have been so disappointing. Maybe Ekta was predominant behind selecting the original cast. Historically She is excellent at this. New cast is mostly chosen from the CVs.

I would like to give benefit of Doubt to Abhishek--Adi, as this is his first TV serial & he is good in emotional scene's & has a scope to Learn.

Krishna-Alia has potential but needs to polish her acting skills

Avantika-Mihika, I think she was good till she turned negative--note she has hardly any think to do--Old mihika got a proper character graph & was almost parallel lead when YHM started.

I still believe if given proper characterization she can do a good job. This sudden illogical neg. & flash in & out of every episode doesn't help her acting, I think she should re-watch her Pratigya videos -she was very good in Negative role there.

The Most surprising for me is Aditi-Old Ruhi as she is acting from Childhood, when she was introduced as Ruhan her OTT drama was suiting the track & mostly received positive feedback from YHM Fans including me. we also like er vulnerable scene's which she did nicely

As soon as she turned in to a girl & Ruhi --Her limitation of acting was exposed --neither she could emote the innocence of ruhi nor her emotional connect with Ishita/Raman.

CV's didn't help her either --dishing out negative by neg. track and always against ISHRA.

Also her screeching & screaming didn't help to put off Audience--i
