D breakdown scene was required n osm but d neck strangling was not al required.period. This is giving wrong message that in anger ppl can do anything n then cry n sort it out that's v wrong.. Anger & frustration shud not b shown as an excuse to do violence..
They could have easily shown Raman breaking things in frustration n wen ishita was seen controlling first he refuses to calm down n then breakdown on her lap.. That wud HVE been v emotional n osm...

No offence to actors & character but just against violence even its shown out of frustration...

actually no one liked it
everyone is saying this neck strangling could have been avoided
I hope so that editors edit it
this is along the lines of raman being tied up
but as we knw cvs,the scene would have lost the punch had neck strangling been avoided
cvs and their creativity

BT is insane and finds humor and intensity in things that are otherwise not acceptable to most people - ie bind/gag, choking, etc
Let's hope SP wants to keep it's "nayi soch" "goodie goodie" image up and edits the scene

B/c it would've been a 100% knock out scene had they not included that one itty bit...it's like post-leap, anything with Raman gets an "added umph" factor added for no real reason for "eye-catching, TRP-grabbing" nonsense per the CVs 🤔

Yup.. what was the need for that thing?
They could've shown Raman abusing her again (he is the master at this), but such violence.. it gives a message that anything a person can do in anger, but then cry and say sorry, everything is okay!!! And, physical violence is allowed in anger.
BTW, isn't this behaviour inhuman or janwar type?
CVs should think carefully .

agree with this. they should not be showing this.
i live in chennai. for the last week we have seen lot of walks, articles dissuading showing/ justifiying violence in movies/tv.

there was a software engineer who got killed in broad daylight and it was a big case in chennai whole of last week. he was a jilted lover. the girl had refused and he hacked her to death in the railway station.

most of the tamil movies justify violence in the name of jilted love. violence is violence. there can be no other reason for it.

i really dont want to sound preachy but wanted to write this.

Raman is shown as a CEO.. he should not be doing this. and for how long will only ishitha be at fault?
why is it that he is not moving out and understanding the situation. he is also equally at fault. he keeps saying she is at fault but turns to her to get his work done.

I agree Sneha, the strangling part should have been avoided and it was quite exaggerated.
If you see in the video, first Raman shrugs Ishita's hands off his shoulder, when Ishita tries to make him calm. A slight push from him following this would have been OK.

In the hunger to make the scene intense and over dramatic, CVs are taking this ugly route. And also the "Janwar" tag of Raman has to remain intact and needed for future. So just to make the audience remember that Raman is always a Janwar, despite his turmoil and huge emotional breakdown, the intelligent CVs have resorted to this scene.

I just hope the editors, rather than editing out the important conversations between IshRa, do the needful in this strangling scene, because it would make sense in this scene.

Just my thoughts.

@bold... perfectly said.
I hope, CVs don't get away only with his break down.. i.e. crying mania (though the scene was awesome due to acting n execution, but CVs use this thing as an opportunity every time forgetting the needs of the story). Hopefully they show his realization of his huge blunders made 7 yrs ago and even now.

Yes, it is giving wrong message. But as usual only when Raman does that, it's been discussed. When Ishita did, the same bunch was saying they were enjoying the superb performance.LOL... Double standard at its best! Yes, Ishita did it too. She strangled Raman, Ruhi and even her Amma who barely escaped from choking to death just few months ago. But Ishita got flying colors for janwar types continuous disgusting behavior.

In yum 1.0 Raman will want to strangle Ishu But stop at the last moment
It had enough reaction from Ishu.
The CVs could have done the same.
A mere suggestion from a learned n established man would have been enough.

Why CV's wants to exaggerate everything? First, I thought these scenes as someone's dream. Pathetic soch.

Hope SP ask CV's to edit it. How can it be on prime time?

Yesterday in most of the Tamil news channels, the debate was about whether cinema and TV shows spoil the society or they just reflect the society? YHM stands top most show with N no. of social aware messages.
