This is the first time I'm reading an os of yours.

ENJOYED IT.Keep writing more.

I simply love reading os'.One needs to have great talent for this.

I love how sitting on that mandap, feeling suffocated and lifeless he looks at each one and the real Raman hidden beneath this harsh one recognises the unhappiness he feels reflect on everyone's face. I can't get over how he imagines an alternate life play out in front of him, where IshRa would be together where his children would be living a pleasant life, and they all would have a normal family. Where the only issues to face would be Raman protecting hi's daughter with the aid of his elder son, where his youngest one would be a child and not so mature at that age, who would have booked under the love of an entire family, the best mother and a wonderful life. Those few moments that you wrote that could have been a picture of their life teared me. How I wish things had remained that simple, and their life had never taken such disgusting route.
When reality strikes him and he realises he can never love anyone else or belong go anyone else , I don't think it could have been worded more aptly.

The whole last bit of him refusing to marry, dragging Ishita to the room, in an act to cage her with him and never let her go. But his facade still fights to stay on and the words he uses to hide his real emotions keep spewing until Ishita FINALLY FINALLY slaps him and uses her right as his partner and love to bring him out of his own misery.

The culmination of the part and the hopeful note at which it ends, is a whole new story ensuing. A new journey of finding Ruhi and completing their life, healing each other and that child who has been wronged.

You are a perfectionist because that's what blaringly comes across in this part. Love love love this OS 🤗

@bold - thank you so much and this part basically wrote itself, cause before writing this piece I hadnt planned it as meticously as I do always, I just knew I wanted Raman to have a moment where he has to imagine what his life could have been and this just came to me...sigh if only Indian shows could think of something usual to play up when taking leaps - like these are the normal things parents stress over and I do see Raman as a overprotective papa bear for Ruhi, especially when he sees his daughter is growing into such a beauty 😆😆

@blue - exactly, he wants her and doesnt want to seem weak while at it too; is falling apart and while it is so obvious he would rather go for anger than to display vulnerability and he had to be snapped out of his stupor, which is where Ishita slapping him comes in 😆😆
