How I wish that no external circumstance but rather Raman''s own realisation, his own thoughts would be the one stalling this marriage. And you have so aptly described every bit of something I still wish would play out on screen.

I love how sitting on that mandap, feeling suffocated and lifeless he looks at each one and the real Raman hidden beneath this harsh one recognises the unhappiness he feels reflect on everyone's face. I can't get over how he imagines an alternate life play out in front of him, where IshRa would be together where his children would be living a pleasant life, and they all would have a normal family. Where the only issues to face would be Raman protecting hi's daughter with the aid of his elder son, where his youngest one would be a child and not so mature at that age, who would have booked under the love of an entire family, the best mother and a wonderful life. Those few moments that you wrote that could have been a picture of their life teared me. How I wish things had remained that simple, and their life had never taken such disgusting route.

When reality strikes him and he realises he can never love anyone else or belong go anyone else , I don't think it could have been worded more aptly.

The whole last bit of him refusing to marry, dragging Ishita to the room, in an act to cage her with him and never let her go. But his facade still fights to stay on and the words he uses to hide his real emotions keep spewing until Ishita FINALLY FINALLY slaps him and uses her right as his partner and love to bring him out of his own misery.

The culmination of the part and the hopeful note at which it ends, is a whole new story ensuing. A new journey of finding Ruhi and completing their life, healing each other and that child who has been wronged.

You are a perfectionist because that's what blaringly comes across in this part. Love love love this OS 🤗

The scenario that you've created is exactly what I had envisioned for this plot.

Raman, realizing his love for Ishita.

Raman, feeling suffocated on sharing the mandap with Shagun.

Raman, reminiscing the love of his life.

Raman, realizing that there's nobody else in the world whom he could even imagine to share his life with.

Raman, breaking it all off pressured by his internal desires and not external circumstances.

Raman, still trying to put up the facade of anger in front of Ishita.

And finally Ishita, slapping some sense and love into him.

We're not going to get an ounce of this in the real show, so a big big thank you for writing this 👏

The open-endedness of it all, searching for the one they both lost together, is another beautiful way to conclude the said event 😳

Having said that, I do think that I also imagined Ishita to telling him exactly how much has he hurt her and how much more was he going to put everyone through had he gone ahead with the wedding. Not just care about his flesh injuries, but made him care about her wounds and scars too. Usually when I read your stories, they're a complete package, and that's trademark Aani style. This time I felt it just missed this bit of detail, although I do realise that Raman internalizing everything is a sign that he does understand the gravity of the words he spoke 😳

It's exactly like something I've been imagining to happen in the show.i really want Raman to back out himself this time. Even if he doesn't admit it to Ishita but just calls if the wedding I'll be happy. I could actually imagine this whole scene in my head. You have written it so well 😳
