Urr i think you are blind or stupid or conveniently forgot about that stupid bhoot track, where raman loved ishita so much he bowed down to ashok and became his servant and touched his shoes as he wanted ishita to be okay again through any means, but again you've completely forgotten about that.Oh and about the ballahhs being selfish, yeah they are, but what about the iyers today, when adi was sent to jail because of his confrontation with aliyah to help shravan, the iyers completely washed their hands off adi and vandu even blamed his character,they completely forgot that its because of adi that shravan returned home safely.

If he has driven his wife to commit suicide, then he needs to prove he loves her all over again! He went begging to Ashok even for his sister's wedding. Ishita has nearly died multiple times for him and his family - the bus accident, the earthquake etc.
As far as what Adi is doing,, he is doing exactly what Ishita used to do - keep doing good and taking blame from ungrateful people. Now people will call him jagat pita...Iyers today are just emulating the Bhallas! Vandu is equivalent to Simmi. Then again today Adi is able to help Shravan coz Ishita came in his life, else he would have been a goner...
